Hey you have visited the website, you have visited the eventbrite, now you are on the tumblr, don't stop here RSVP on Facebook and share the event with your friends :)
Medialab Session's european team @romainsaillet, @neila_r and @shalf did a workshop @LIFTconference, another story about MLS on the road #mlsroad.
2 months only after the 1st London meetup, we had the great opportunity to create a newsroom for @LIFTconference and a new challenge for us : create a 2-hour workshop (#mlslift) for 20 people wishing to find a way to save the media industry.
John Martineau will be mentoring the teams during #mlspreston 16-18 May 2014 in Preston. We asked him to present himself and tell us “What is Media Innovation ?”
It was actually quite liberating. You can take chances you might not take when working with people you know because the strangers you're with have no expectations or preconceived ideas of how you function. No matter what, working with total strangers forces you out of whatever box you were thinking in at the start.

We organised a stage last February in London to present two innovative startups, whose main purpose is the find a viable Business Model, while paying their contributors.
#mlsLDN 21st February 2014 @WarnerYard -- 1st Talk // Vincent Dignan - founder at Planet Ivy Vincent Dignan is the co-Founder of Planet Ivy, a social writting plateform dedicated to 18 to 25-year-olds with articles written by people in that age category. Contributors from around the world are now writting on the plateform. He will explain how he manages to create a media with a smart business model that allows him to pay its contributors. Vincent Dignan was also a speaker at News:rewired last september. -- 2nd Talk // William Stolerman - founder at The News Hub William is a journalist and the Founder of The News Hub, a news platform where anyone can publish content, and anyone can earn money from their content (if it's good). Prior to The News Hub, William was the Editor-in-Chief of a Hong Kong men's magazine. The News Hub is aiming to solve most of the issues facing the news industry today. When I talked to William, he shared with me his thoughts and actions to make a new kind of media, based on valuable content. The News Hub has three revenue streams: display advertising and two that are TBA. The News Hub is about to go live and we will have the chance to hear from the Founder about the upcoming launch with more than 200 contributors.

We are a community of european media entrepreneurs called "Medialab Session" active in France, the UK, Belgium and Switzerland.
We are helping the news industry to be better at listening to and interacting with the other professional communities they work with (i.e. tech/web).
We are working since 2012 to facilitate encounters, meetings and collaborations between several europena ecosystems : content producers including journalists, technology-oriented labs/schools, start-upers (e.g. entrepreneurs, designers, coders).
Our main strength is to connect media entrepreneurs, accelerate their projects and document it while we humbly discover eco-systems. Every two monthes we run a Stage in London with 2 talks and an open mic' session, where we invite the thriving members of the eco-sytems to have an informal and random chat.
Here is the first [Playground] organized in the UK.
