ʿAlī ibn Thābit (رحمه الله) said:
المالُ آفتُه التَّبذيرُ والنَّهبُ،
والعِلمُ آفتُه الإعجابُ والغَضَبُ.
“Wealth is ruined by extravagance and plunder, and knowledge is ruined by self-admiration and anger.”

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) doesn’t promise us that this life will be safe or sweet, but He promises that He will be near, closer than our own jugular vein. And sometimes, the way Allah shows His mercy isn't by changing the outside, but by building an ocean of patience and light inside you, so the storms can rage outside, but they can't destroy you.
"لا يسيء الظن بنفسه إلا من عرفها، ومن أحسن ظنه بنفسه فهو من أجهل الناس بنفسه".

"By Allah, if you lose hope in people to the point where you don't want anything from them,
Allah will give you everything you want."
