WHERE is my academy award for my role of Woman
WOMEN COVERED IN BLOOD IN CINEMA: Carrie (1976) Gone Girl (2014) Assassination Nation (2018) Jenniferâs Body (2009) Revenge (2017) The Witch (2015) Rise: Blood Hunter (2007) The Descent (2005)
THE WITCH (2015) dir. Robert Eggers
Did anyone else never lose the shadow of that vague, half repentant and sulky child who wasnât wanted, and knew it, who watched from deep inside the body rather than join in? I think the reason I connect so much with the trend of calling yourself feral is because I was a very lonely child. A feral animal is one that might have been domesticated but wasnât. Becoming socialised is very hard when you are an outsider among your peers. I think itâs something that stays with you a long time; the child, playing in the muck, reading, watching, but always in solitude. Living a life almost as separate as if there was a difference of country and culture between you and the rest of your age group. I think a lot of people can relate to that.

gone girl - gillian flynn
i think so much about that quote âa child weaned on poison considers harm a comfortâ by Gillian Flynn because thats basically female socialization in a nutshell. Weâre taught to hate ourselves and our bodies so self destruction looks pleasant and romantic.
I want you... flat on your back. Helpless, tender, open... with only me to help. And then I want you strong again. Youâre not going to die. You might wish youâre going to die, but youâre not going to. You need to settle down a little.
So oh, you need to calm down, youâre being too loud. And Iâm just like oh, you need to just stop. Like can you just not step on my gown? You need to calm down.
Brand. Sheâs⌠out there. Setting up camp. Alone, in a strange galaxy.
i was dry faced through this entire movie until this part. imagine how lonely?? imagine the flavor of motherhood that this was??? She may as well have been a god. She may as well have been a child.Â

âSo you know what? If Iâm gonna be sexy on the VMAs, and sing about the paparazzi, Iâm going to do it while Iâm bleeding to death and reminding you of what fame did to Marilyn Monroe, the original Norma Jean, and what it did to Anna Nicole Smith, and what it did toâŚYeah. You know who.â
Isnât it crazy how women are supposed to be in their 20s their whole life.
BEEN saying this!!! Itâs TRUE! This doesnât only include older women but younger women as well. Young girls are expected to be in their twenties by the time theyâre like 11. Itâs crazy.
i only relate to women who scream in their car
