Shrambling Empire Update: WELCOME BACK!!! 🎉🎉🎉

2025 Oct 9 - Game 1 (Pregame)

(BTW, just skip to the end if you're not reading all this but do want to click some buttons on my little poll!)

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF THE SHARKS' '25–'26 SEASON TO ALL THOSE WHO CELEBRATE!!! We gather here with the fresh optimism of a new season, soon to either be validated with the sweet sound of progress or dashed into a million pieces in the bay.

AND AN EVEN HAPPIER FIRST DAY OF THE SHRAMBLING EMPIRE: '25–'26 EDITION TO ALL THOSE WHO CELEBRATE!!! 🎉🎉🎉

The format is the same as last season:

All shrambling (sharks gambling) occurs through the nhl24all.ir betting simulator. No real money is involved at any point. More information about their simulator on the website.

I will place a maximum bet in favor of the Sharks winning every game they play. I will never bet on any other matches or against the Sharks. (And you will all look away very niceys if I forget a game. I'll try to keep track of what it should look like if I forget but the main focus is the number in the simulator.)

I will make shrambling empire posts every once in a while tagged "#shrambling empire" and also "#sharks lb" to keep you all updated on how it's going (e.g. latest profits/losses, some stats, graphs as we approach major milestones). (In other words, the former is the tag to block if you are not interested.) Last season I tried to do updates for every game but I probably won't have time to do all that again so we'll see!

Anyways, here's the first bet of the season!

I'm scheduling this post like 7 hours in advance for half an hour to game time/about when the pregame starts and people start congregating in the lb tag, so when you see this the odds may have changed by then, but hopefully not too much!

[PERSONAL NOTES]

What a ride. While I’ve been lurking in the hockey world since ’23, this is my first full season with the Sharks (I only pledged allegiance to San Jose in late July 2025). I’ve somehow managed not to miss a single game since the Rookie Faceoff and preseason - and fully survived all 82 regular season games despite the occasional brutal timezone issues oof. Who am I to complain though… EU fans definitely have it worse than me (just look at my bestie @myfriendsareboring’s dedication lol).

Anyway, I’m so glad to have found this community - and this is only the beginning of a lifelong adventure with you all.

I hope that by sharing games, clips, gifs, and the occasional edits (or even fics lol), I’ve been able to contribute something for both new and longtime Sharks / hockey fans out here. I’ll keep doing so for as long as I can (though please be kind when requesting - I’m very tone-sensitive, and I usually announce things in advance anyway 😭).

Lots of exciting things ahead (playoffs shenanigans, signings, IIHF, draft season, etc.)! For now though —-here’s the last Sharks download link I’ll be sharing for this season.
