Aroace Ryland Grace is so important to me AND LEMME TELL YOU ESPECIALLY WHY.

a lot of the time, aroace people get forgotten about; in queer media, queer spaces, and media in general. As an aroace man myself i can confirm like there is lowkey nothing for us. Having a character a lot of people claim/agree is aroace is so freaking rare, and having a CONFIRMED CHARACTER?!? I dont think i know of ANY confirmed aroace characters. So having a mainstream, “average/normal” guy be labeled as aroace is so refreshing and lowkey beautiful. AND HES THE HERO OF THE STORY NOT JUST SOME SIDE CHARACTER LIKE HALLELUJAH!!!! cause people forget about us!! and forget that like cis people can be aroace! and straight people! and gay people!! and anyone!!

so yeah even thought its not canon, the fact so many people see it is incredible. heartwarming even. eueueu i love you aroace ryland grace

thinking abt that person who left that tag on my post abt colorism abt how us brown/black ppl should just "make our own stuff" instead of complaining

and i always think abt how i kinda resent the fact that now that we have more black and brown princesses they don't really get the sweeping swoony fairytales like the white ones did

raya and moana don't get a love story. tiana was a frog for most of the movie. they retconned the love story for asha in wish

maybe unpopular opinion but yeah its cool to show girl power and girls can be independent from men but man i just want to see a black or brown princess who gets to be the princess the prince saves from the dragon lol

and when i do make this stuff ppl will call it hetslop

a critique of project hail mary that i’ve seen is that rocky is infantilized and i think there’s genuine merit to that statement BUT i think rocky also very clearly views grace as a childish too. they’re just two very competent scientists meeting another life form and going “DAMN this guy does not know how to be alive! i’m going to teach him” and that’s the beauty of it!
