Gabriel Agreste AU/Headcannon
-Loves his family
-Has resting b*tch face + always sardonic voice
-When he says Adrien is “emotional” like his mother, it’s a complement but is not perceived that way due to rbf+voice
-Emilie was always able to tell how he truly felt (not unlike Luka) which is part of what attracted him to her
-Intends to/is willing to pay the potential price for his wish with his own life
-Views Emilie as a better-suited parent for Adrien, able to praise him without it sounding like an insult, able to comfort him without sounding degrading, which is why he HAS to get her back
-Adrien has such a heavy schedule in preparation for the future when he is no longer around due to the wish (fencing for self-defense, modeling for a strong foothold in the company, multiple languages for work force security as being multi-lingual is always a strong bonus, etc.) He’s the breadwinner and needs Adrien to be able to take care of himself and maybe his mother after he is most likely unable to.
-The butterfly miraculous actually lets him display emotions better making him far more expressive as Hawkmoth than as Gabriel. Which is also why even when the heroes are on the right track, it’s relatively easy to make them think Gabriel isn’t Hawkmoth. Also, why he monologues as often as he does.
