been working on this rediculous au like crazy this weekend, so i wanna share a lil bit 💖

"Judging by latitudinal positioning and rate of approach, it appears the trajectory is, in fact, predicative of an eventual collision."

Vee sighed, rubbing her forehead. "In English, Obie…" It was pitch dark, in the middle of the night, but he was peering though a specialized spyglass, his thick glasses pushed on top of his head. With a huff of mild exasperation, he carefully folded the device and tucked it into his pocket.

"Casey was right," he said, fixing his spectacles back in place as he looked at her. "That ship is headed right for us."

this thing is really starting to get away from me 🙈 it is nothing like either source material atp, but hey, im still having fun so hopefully inspiration will stay w me til i get this nonsense finished

wip wednesday

wasnt tagged but i wrote abt 2k words of this nonsense princess bride au so im gonna share anyway!

Loki plucked the letter from his hands with a sigh, setting it aside and replacing it with their own, giving his fingers a gentle squeeze. The idea of losing their house and all of their material possessions was worrisome, but they could face anything, so long as they had each other.

A few days later, Mobius announced that he was leaving.

"It's just for a year," he added quickly, when tears sprang to Loki's eyes. "I found a job on a ship, that'll pay enough to buy the land."

Loki was both immensely grateful and utterly devastated. For the first time, they allowed themself to reach out and pull Mobius into an embrace. Mobius' arms wrapped tight around them, as they wept into his shoulder.

"Come back," they choked, voice muffled.

"Always," he promised, emphatically.

But fate would not agree.

Five Fics You're Proud of!

Thanks for the tags @elodiah and @westwardly

I have written for a lot of fandoms and I probably have at least one fic from each I'm proud of to some extent. So I'm going to pick ones where I'm proud and I did something for the first time.

Turning Page (AU, 236K, Bella Swan x Aro, Twilight) I mean absolutely no shade at all at the people who do, but I can pretty firmly say "I don't go here." I was familiar with it, though, and I fell down the rabbit hole of this pairing after Good Omens (don't ask). The end result is something I am just super proud of. It is, admittedly, what I kinda wish Twilight was like.

It Was Always You (Human AU, 236k, Crowley x Aziraphale, Good Omens) This was the first fic I wrote that was set outside the canonverse of any fandom. Human AU heavily seasoned with hints of canon, but still very AU.

Maybe It Will Be Enough (Canon Divergence AU, 6K, Stede x Izzy, Our Flag Means Death) Never before and never again had I felt compelled to write something while canon (the show/season) was still in progress. But that week after the first 3 episodes dropped, this concept of "what if Ed had died" entered my head and would not leave. I also made myself ship these two with this.

One More Chance to Be Near You (Post-Canon, 142k, Loki x Mobius, Loki) I made the horrible mistake once of rewriting the Infinity Saga with different pairings, and vowed afterward I would never, ever write Marvel again. Then these two happened. It was my first true, post-canon story and still my favorite of the ones I've written about them.

'Tis the Happiest Damn Season (No Powers AU, 85k, Sam x Bucky, FatWS) This was the first time I'd both written Marvel Characters without powers AND the first time I based a story on a romcom. If You haven't seen Happiest Season, don't. You will be so angry at the ending. I changed it for this fic.

For goodness sake, rec the fics. Rec them on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Bluesky, Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, or the reanimated corpse of MySpace. Rec them on Pinterest. Rec them by semaphore, smoke signal, or Morse code. Rec them via a page ripped out of a college-ruled notebook and folded into a tiny triangle and flicked across a classroom while the teacher is looking in the other direction. Heck, rec them on Slack, Teams, email, text, postal mail, or a message scratched with a long stick into snow, sand, or dirt. Just rec the fics.

Seven Sentence Sunday

This is from a speculative fic based upon the trailer and plot “leaks” regarding Doomsday, so if you’re avoiding anything remotely spoiler-ish, please read no further.

“Well. Should be a pretty awesome spectacle, at least,” Mobius shrugged casually, and Loki chuckled.

“You’ll have a front row seat, Mobius, naturally. You just need to trust me.”

“I always do,” he said easily, smiling back at him, “For all time.”

Loki’s face warmed a little at the barefaced pronouncement, eyes dropping bashfully to his shiny new TVA-issue shoes. But before he could break the sudden silence, the front door of the house creaked open, and he spun around to find Steve leaning through, beckoning them back inside.

“Here we go,” Loki muttered, and despite all of his outward bravado to that point, was exceedingly grateful for the buoying gesture of Mobius’ hand settling upon his back, ushering him towards the porch steps.

Sleep was fitful and a grand failure.

Loki tossed and turned, restless as a drowning rodent.

In his dreams, Odin and Frigga watched on as he was marched to the executioner's block, Frigga weeping with a frozen face that spilled tears from glassy eyes. Odin stared at him with nothing in his stare, void of any emotion, even pity.

His brother held the axe, instead of the hooded man who Loki had never cared to learn the name of.

Maybe it was ironic; Loki’s own consciousness gave him a face to the man who would end his life.

He jumped awake as the axe fell to cleave his head from his shoulders and Don’s name was on his lips.

i actually wrote a bit yesterday! ive been gripped by the idea of a princess bride lokius au, so here ya go, have some of that!

The word "love" was not spoken, but it shone in every lingering glance. It whispered in every soft request and every softer reply of, "As you wish."

"Do you not grow tired of always doing as you're told?" Loki asked of him, one lazy afternoon, in the kitchen. Even the pot bubbled lazily, over the fire.

Mobius shook his head, with a smile.

"Never," he answered. "Not when it's you."

i hate how seriously im taking this 🤣 anyway

i have once again just posted a drabble so heres seven more sentences from that 🧡💚

In the silence, his soft cries echoed pitifully off the cold marble. The voices of countless dying timelines cried back at him.

When a pair of hands took hold of him, he couldn't fight. He allowed himself to be jostled by the shoulders and rolled onto his back. But after a moment he realized the action wasn't rough. The hands were clumsy and cumbersome but moved so slowly and gently, one sliding carefully under his back, the other his knees.

As he felt himself lifted off the ground, Loki finally cracked his eyes open to find a wonderfully familiar face peering down at him through a glass domed helmet.

i forgot i actually wrote a second drabble (for the prompt Protect) on sunday but i didnt like it as much as the first one so i didnt post it write away 😅

Despite the anguish squeezing his heart he did not weep. He lay there, breathing shallow, and thought of his mother and father. He wondered if he could reach Valhalla from outside of Time. Surely he had earned his place with them in the Great Hall.

He thought of Thor, and wondered if he were already there.

He thought of Mobius.

Then the tears came.

i think i like it better now than i did before but it definitely needs a lot of editing 😅
