@mehlurdee
obsessed with how the entire movie is just this
a cozy quilt
I had previously seen the bottom image with zero context like 5 times before finally finding the context post and that’s why I love tumblr.
someone commented ‘the sun, the moon and jayce’ under my previous meljayvik post i laughed so hard that i just had to draw it
Quick sketch of Victor
ARCANE RELATED CONTENT (mostly S1)
Before anyone starts yelling at me, I'm open for corrections and/or debate as long as it's respectfully. Also I'm not an Arcane Guru so go easy on me, I'm just trying to tie some dots.
I think everyone is forgetting that the Hexcore Jayce fuses with Viktor isn't fully pure.
They got their Pure Hexcore in S1E4, we see it.
But after the weird Romance scene where Viktor's blood is fused to the Hexcore, the Hexcore looks more alive and goes from looking all this blue galactic aesthetic skies and starts becoming an organic themed with trypophobia inspirations. (GIFS used as a visual representation to know what aesthetics I'm talking)
Hexcore + Viktor's Blood
Hextech pure form aesthetic
Hexcore new aesthetic
So that's a Hexcore low-key fused with Viktor's blood. It's not purely Hextech.
If that isn't enough, next time we see Viktor experimenting on himself with Shimmer AND the Hexcore. Leading to see Viktor's body affected by this new Shimmer and Hexcore mutation. When he runs out of Shimmer, he tries with the Hexcore, and taking off Sky in the process.
So now the Hexcore Jayce fused with Viktor looked like this and had:
Hextech
Shimmer
Viktor's blood
Viktor's blood affected by shimmer
Sky
Tons of plants they used after the Hexcore became more "alive"
because the thing is Viktor’s whole back-and-forth is all about trying to make the world a better place using what’s best about humanity to further technology, right? Like that seems to be his schtick—the Dr. Frankenstein’s “discovery-must-be-good-because-it’s-spurred-on-by-humanity’s-desire-to-improve-things” tropey characterization, right?
I mean I didn’t get very far into Season 1 but that seemed to be the thing they were doing with him. But it was obviously taking a tragic turn when I left it; like, he’s realizing that to “make the world a better place” through “discovery-and-progress,” you gotta break some eggs to make the omelette. Something something about how he didn’t want to let the giant salamander suffer when he was a kid, but then he’s going to let it suffer when he grows up and sees that it’s suffering could further the greater good (starting with saving his own life) or whatever
you know, the unholy matrimony between human empathy’s motivation to “do good” and steadily-marching progress. Eventually “doing good” becomes the end that justifies any means. And then you’re no longer doing good.
So in that way, “invention” can be a medicine which, if drunk too often, becomes a poison.
Just like human emotions. After all, human emotions initially cause the inventor to want to use his skills to prevent harm and improve lives. Emotions can be fuel. But then those same emotions can rupture and rot over time into obsession, pride, self-centeredness, hate, mercilessness. Emotions can be fire.
So what I’m saying is (assuming they kept plodding along that dichotomy-of—responsibility-for-gifting-&-man’s-not-meant-to-meddle-even-if-it’s-for-the-greater-good trope with Viktor in Season 2,—again, I haven’t seen the whole show) the only character that could’ve made sense for Tyler Joseph to write a song about is Viktor.
because he’s always wrestling with the use-versus-the-dangers of human emotion.
On the one hand, his songs show that if you ignore your emotions and try to cover them up with a functional savior (your car radio during long drives, lyrics that mean nothing, a fictional city of emotionless citizens, etc.) you might as well be a zombie. If you cut off or ignore your emotions, you’re not being real, and you’re not seeing the reality that your emotions are trying to warn you about.
But on the dangerous side, if you use emotions too much, give them too much attention, they’ll overpower you and become dangerous. Negative emotions can become all you feel, and then your emotions replace reality. Anxiety, depression, pride-born-of-lack-of-control—give those emotions too much free rein, and you’re a new kind of zombie.
Emotions can be fuel, emotions can be fire, and Tyler Joseph’s always trying to figure out which to use and which to not.
Kind of like how it seemed like Viktor was the kind of Dr. Victor Frankenstein’s “I owe it to the world to get this exactly right” obsessive character…who would go too far with a medicine and turn it into poison. But he has moments of self-awareness where he tragically realizes that’s what he’s doing. That sort of thing lends itself well to twenty one pilots.
upon further examination (from a video i saw on tiktok) the arcane season two act three debut event (idk where it was) had these banners up

i also asked the person who posted it in the comments “how much for you to go back, rip the banner down of viktor, and run? 🧍♂️” 💀

// I love cooking comics best. And this one has ingredients so cheap I made a point to save it to my harddrive. It was originally drawn by Lucie Bryon here on Tumblr.
If you're extremely low spoons like me, you can used canned or frozen veggies, and some supermarkets sell pre-cooked chicken
Throw it all in the pot and fry it with butter to make it taste better, then throw in your water and noodles until it looks good
If you don't have the energy but have a spice rack, powdered garlic, onion, ginger. Measure with your heart. Add one egg yoke. Dash of regular soy sauce. Siracha, again measure with your heart. Don't have that? Chili flakes or anything with a mild spice. Mix. Set aside. Heat water. Bring to a boil. Add ramen packet + ramen noodles. Cook till soft. Add one ladle of your broth to your yoke + spice mix. Mix that. Add noodles + additional broth. Add extra dash of soy sauce. Eat and be content.
Speaking as someone who is frequently busy AND low-energy, let me tell you some of my ramen hacks!
Prepackaged broth.
Canned chicken or any leftover meat you may have. Add it in the last few minutes of cooking.
I endorse the frozen veggies! Also add those in the last few minutes of cooking.
Add some miso paste and a pat of butter. mmmm, richer broth.
Finally, because I have a lot of days where I have no energy AND barely time for lunch: THE MICROWAVE. Put your broth and noodles in a bowl, microwave it for 2 minutes. Pull apart the noodles (which will still be firm but not a brick) to make a little nest to crack an egg into. Add any other protein and your frozen veggies, then microwave it for another 2 minutes. THE BOWL WILL BE VERY HOT WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE MICROWAVE, BE CAREFUL. But look at that! Fast, delicious, nutritious ramen!
Standard ramen bricks do not have to be boiled. You can prepare them exactly like cup ramen: Brick in bowl, powder on brick, pour two cups boiling water over it. Cover bowl with a plate. Give it about four minutes. Perfect soft noodles. Never gets that horrid ramen slimy situation going even if you ADHD away from your wip food, the noodles are still soft and lovely, just uhh cold.
If you have access to an Asian grocery store, try pickled mustard green. It's like $2 and, being pickled, lasts forever in the fridge. Especially wonderful on jjajang (black soybean) ramen.
I can't believe i saw a post listing ramen ingredients without this
