Midori Traveler’s Notebook (Camel). White Rabbit and cards of hearts charms from Daiso. I cut the bookmark string shorter so that the charm won’t dangle too long on it. Inside are the monthly, blank and grid notebooks. I haven’t fully used this yet as I still have the other planner/journal I am currently using. Once I finished that one, I will start using this one.

I’ve been thinking about how Russian uses the same word — разочарование — for both disappointment and disenchantment.
Whether your expectations weren’t met, or you’ve lost faith in something entirely, it’s the same word.
It’s a bit like turtles. In English, you have turtle and tortoise. In Russian? Just черепаха.
So the mood of last week was: a disappointed turtle.
The exact variety of disappointment — and the exact species of turtle — shall remain a mystery.
I’ve noticed that whenever I step away from my story for too long, I burn through my energy surprisingly fast.
And every time I return, LS gives some of it back.
The only problem is that I have absolutely no idea where I’ll run when the story finally comes to an end 💔
the complex? idk, its quite simple actually

🪽19th week of 2026
Holiday week.
I was supposed to move mountains — schedule posts all the way through mid-September and translate two or three chapters.
Instead, I somehow kept drifting around, overheated in the sun, and spent the rest of the time recovering at home.
I also read two fics (look at that — apparently I can still read other people’s stories), and even started catching up on another ongoing translation project.
The person who truly worked miracles this week, though, was my beta reader.
Once I get the edits for the remaining ~500 pages, I’ll finally be able to schedule every chapter in Russian through the end.
And honestly… the realization makes my chest ache a little 💔
This was my midori notebook for revisions before my oral exam last year, to get in where i am now! It worked pretty well! I love my midori!
