āThis is so wrong.ā A conflicted Leonardo thought. However, there was so much stimulation and visuals that he wasnāt thinking straight. He knew Karai thought the same, but what else could be going on in that pretty little head of hers?
āThis is wrong, isnāt it?ā Taking a break to catch some air, A string of saliva connected the turtle and the kunoichi. Despite Leoās comment, Karaiās swollen lips from the friction had curled into a devious smile.
āBut it feels so good, doesnāt it, Leo?ā The turtle didnāt know what had gotten him into this situation. It was a series of events and choices, actually. Karai had taken a liking to the leader in blue, and her flirting during fighting had caused Leo to seek her out more.
She understood him, and he understood her. Karai was Leoās escape from his demanding role as the leader of his team. Leo was Karaiās escape. Working under the influence of Shredder, she fought tirelessly to make her father happy.
A couple of years before Shredderās death, he had flown his daughter, Karai, to NYC from Japan. Once she arrived, she was to work under her father and lead the Foot Clan as his successor if and when he passed.
āI mean, who else can make me feel as good as you do?ā a 21-year-old Karai mused. She was genuine and had actually sexually fallen for Shredderās enemy. Leonardo, however, took some convincing before he finally came to his senses. He was falling for Karai. There was no doubt about it, Shredderās daughter was at his service whenever he needed to let out steam, and vice versa. Leonardoās libido had been elevated ever since they began their private affairs.
āHmm, good point.ā A smug Leo replied. Usually, on their nightly meet-ups, a make-out session would occur, sex in a rooftop supply closet would follow, depending on what they had going on. If Leo were on patrol, a quickie would suffice. Any time he could spend with Karai and satisfy his sexual needs was appreciated. Though, depending on how their day went, more time would be spent talking about their frustrations and burdens their position had on them than having sex. Karai was not only an experienced kunoichi, but also experienced in the sex department as well. She knew what she wanted, and he was right on top of her, satisfying her as she took him in one thrust at a time. The cold caused her to shiver under his touch, and he used his hand to place her black top back down on her breasts, allowing her to warm up. Though a pretty sight, Karaiās comfort was important.
āDonāt be so doubtful in your choices,ā Karaiās breath hitched, feeling a knot in her lower stomach come undone the deeper Leo inserted himself. āYou know you like it.ā She was right, and he really, really liked it. But, she was simply a service to him and vice versa. At least, thatās how Karai viewed it. However, Leonardo feltā¦connected to her. After every orgasm they rode out together, every kiss and secret touch they had was enough for him to catch feelings for his enemy. Though his reluctance persisted. Time after time, he found himself second-guessing his actions. Meeting up like this during patrol, lying to his brothers about where he was going, it was all too much.
But why couldnāt he have a little freedom?
Leo could feel himself finishing soon, and with a few final thrusts into the enemy, a low churr emerged from his throat. Quickly pulling out, he stroked himself slowly in satisfaction as warm ropes of cum shot out beside Karaiās thigh, making sure not to leave any evidence on her. It seeped into the cracks on the rooftop concrete, Leonardoās cream glistening from the moonlight shining over them both. He took her right there, on the side of a nearby air unit. Karaiās thigh was lifted by the leaderās strong hand as she looked back at his strained, focused expression; until he had enough of the same position and decided on missionary as his big finale.
āYou never fail to impress me,ā Karaiās sweet voice penetrated Leoās ears, and he did nothing but smile softly. He felt satisfied. He loved the feeling of being free.
After getting up and regaining her composure, Karaiās legs were shaking, a response to the intense activity both the human and mutant shared. Leonardo was a passionate yet rough ālover.ā His frustrations were let out, one thrust at a time. With every dirty phrase he whispered into Karaiās ear, the more relief he felt. Sure, Leo was inexperienced at first, but it didnāt take a rocket scientist to know how to please a woman while also pleasing himself. He knew the way around a womanās body with the aid of the black-haired woman underneath him (he also knows where the clit is, kudos to you, Leo!)
And with a quick handshake, they both went their separate ways.
~
This had gone on for some time. With a few close calls here and there from Leonardoās brothers. Though it wasnāt until the second-oldest turtle started to grow suspicious. There had been a shift in his leaderās demeanor. Raphael knew how to read people; how to read body language. From the looks of Leo after patrol, he seemed more tired than he usually would be after patrol. However, there wasnāt a valid reason why. They had a simple routine: patrol together, then split into pairs, and finally patrol alone to cover more ground. Being the leader, Leonardo was usually the first person back from a solo patrol at their rendezvous point.
However, he was quickly becoming the last person to regroup. This obviously wasnāt a good look on him, and Raphael knew that. His noticings and gut feeling had caused him to follow his brother one night during solo patrol.
Poor Raphael, he couldnāt believe what he had seen. His brother, Leonardo, is with the enemy.
It had gone so horribly, too. When Raphael realized what was going on, he couldnāt keep his mouth shut.
---
āYa tellinā meā¦ā Raphael couldnāt watch the scene before him any longer. His amber eyes blinked quickly, trying to shake this reality. Was he really witnessing his older brotherā¦kissing the enemy?
āYa tellinā me dat while weāre all out there fightinā crime and kickinā ass, ya up here holdinā hands with the Foot?ā Raphaelās gruff accented voice seemed to erupt, venom seeping through his teeth as he said the word āFoot.ā That was their enemy, and enemies donāt kiss each other, right?
Leonardoās hand seemed to swipe away from the kunoichiās waist, his lips being wiped away to try and eradicate any evidence left behind. āRaph,ā Leoās surprised expression had soon turned to immediate guilt, āItāsā¦not what it looks like.ā However, the smirk on Karaiās face as her black eyes burned into Raphās golden ones told him all he needed to know. There was more going on here than met his eye.
āBullshit, Leo!ā He wanted to wipe that smirk off Karaiās lips so badly, it pained him to watch her be so happy. āHa neck is all tha evidence I need!ā The dark-haired woman chuckled, tugging at the neckline of her top, exposing the old hickeys mixed with the new. She wanted so desperately to stir the pot between the two. Watching it unfold before her was truly the cherry on top. Leoās glance toward Karai and back to his brother only angered him more. He wasnāt about to choose, right? Raph stomped over to Leo, looking him in his brown eyes. Face to face, brother to brother. It was almost as ifā¦Raphael saw Leo for what he truly was. Desperate. Tired. Stressed.
āRaph, please.ā Leoās voice was a mixture of anxiety and irritation. How come his brother had to come and find out? Whatās worse is, who was Raph going to tell? āWhat, Leo?ā The angered stare from Raphael only solidified Leonardoās thoughts. He was utterly betrayed, and telling the others would make sense.
āJustā¦donāt tell Splinter, please.ā This earned a scoff from the turtle in red, his eyes rolling back in hysterics. Thatās what Leo was afraid of? Was he going to go on and snitch to their master? What about their code? Loyalty? Honor?
Pitiful.
āHeh, yeah. Whateva.ā Raphael wasnāt going to spill the beans on this. It was Leoās fuck up, and it was sure as shell going to come to light sooner or later. He walks past him, bumping the leaderās shoulder and flipping off Karai as he walks away.
āSome fuckenā leader you are.ā Raphaelās disgruntled voice had masked his sorrowfulness. He had simply stood up and left the two behind. He wasnāt going to tell anyone; he wasnāt going to go rogue. No, he was just simply going to live with the fact that Leonardo also hides things. But, to this degree? Who knows what Leo and Karai mightāve shared? Information, perhaps? If Leo thinks he can get her to betray her own father, thenā¦
No. There was no point in overthinking anything. Leonardo was fucking Shredderās daughter, simple as that. Raphael knew Leo well enough to know he wouldnāt stoop so low to get what he wanted. This wasnāt Leoās way of getting intel from Karai; it was just to get his rocks off. To satisfy whatever needs he had.
The thought of this caused Raph to gag. Simply the idea of making love with the enemy gave him a headache. He would never do such a thing, but Leo? He was shocked.
The truth would come out soon enough. For now, though, Raphael really needed to punch something.
---
That night was the beginning of a silent feud between Leonardo and Raphael. Unbeknownst to the rest of the family, this was more than just surface-level bickering and arguing. Raphael gave Leo the luxury of coming clean, his sick sense of humor finding it utterly laughable how his big brother avoided him when he could. He tried to explain himself over and over again, but Raph didnāt wanna hear it.
He had seen what he saw, and there was no reversing time.
So when Shredder had messed with the Hamato family again, it would be the last. The Foot and Karai, somehow finding one of their hideouts, had caused an all-out war between the two clans. It ended in Splinter protecting his sons until he couldnāt anymore- and he had been taken by Shredder himself. He would lure the turtles out of the sewer and to his domain. So they can watch as he dissected their father like some sort of lab rat in front of their very eyes.
āGood fuckenā job, Fearless, howād they know where we was?!ā All turtles were barricaded in their Lair after the surprise attack from their enemy, and they were left to their own devices as the opposing clan retreated once Splinter was captured. Raphaelās anger seemed to boil to the point of no return, his bloody finger from combat pointing right at Leonardoās blue and blackened face.
āDonāt.ā Leoās croaked voice warned. He wasnāt in the mood right now. He had to think of a way to get his father back, and fast.
āWhat? Were ya under Karaiās love spell and ya told her?ā Raphās golden eyes looked right into his brotherās, with the other two turtles looking at each other, utterly confused at what the fuck was unfolding in front of them. His voice spat with such poison, causing Leonardo to punch him square in the jaw.
āI said, āDonāt.ā Truth was, Leonardo didnāt tell Karai shit. But Raphael wasnāt going to believe that. As far as he knew, Leonardo was an unloyal, unfaithful, sly fuck who couldnāt keep it in his pants- err, shell.
āOh-ho-ho! Did I hit a nerve, Oā Fearless One?ā Raph chuckled darkly, rubbing his jaw that began to pulse from pain. The hot-headed turtle lived for moments like these; craved them even. However, for Leonardo to throw the first hit between them? Utterly shocking, but to be expected; Leonardo tends to hold his tongue and not let things bother him so much. However, that can only go for so long before he pops.
āUm, whatās going on?ā A new voice chimed in: Mikey. He had no idea why his two older brothers were fighting, and didnāt understand what Karai had to do with it.
Raph brushed past Leo before giving the leader the floor. āTell 'em,ā Raphael crosses his arms,
āItās only right.ā
Who did he think he was? Leonardo thought. How dare his younger brother assume he would tell their sworn enemy their location, and even use it as a segue to get him to spill the beans on his secret relationship with Shredderās daughter?
Leonardo had no choice but to come clean. He had outright said it: āI messed up.ā Before simply stating that he and Karai were messing around. That was it. Not outwardly saying he had fucked the enemy sideways on the rooftops when the others werenāt around, but Mikey and Donnie understood what his statement meant. Though they werenāt as angry as Raphael. Disappointed, yes, but not angry enough to punch their own leader; that wasnāt their style.
To get Splinter back and end the Shredder for good would be no easy feat. With the way the team felt so divided after Leoās reveal and Raphās anger, who knew how the next few hours would pan out?
For the first time since he was first appointed as leader, Leonardo feltā¦alone. As of right now, nobody understands how he felt. How guilt seemed to invade his body and send signals that caused his stomach to do somersaults.
There was no doubt about it: he and Karai would have to cease their private affairs. Before shaking on the idea to satisfy each otherās needs, Leonardo knew heād be killing two birds with one stone. Not only was he getting his frustrations out on Karai, but he was also keeping her at bay. The probability- as Leonardo thought- of Karai pulling something over on Leonardo was very low. Though it was never zero.
Despite the heavy cloud between Raph and Leo, they needed to act as a team right now. Despite Raphaelās little remarks here and there as Leonardo explained their plan to infiltrate Shredderās Lair, the leader in blue sucked it up and pushed through. Every moment away from their sensei and father was time wasted.
He actually could not wrap his head around how the Foot found their backup hideout. He had done everything right as a leaderā¦well, almost everything. He covered their tracks, had Donnie check equipment in case of a potential tracker, you name it. But he never thought Karai would be the one to put one on him. So small that the naked eye couldnāt see. Leonardo had so much pent-up anger that he simply couldnāt look at Karai the same anymore. He couldnāt fathom the idea of being so stupid- soā¦naive, that he allowed an enemy to get close to him, and this was the outcome. I mean, what exactly was he thinking? He. Shouldāve. Known. Better. He hated the feeling of betrayal crashing down on him. He hated that Karai was making him feel this way; although a normal response to this sort of thing, Leonardo felt as though he didnāt deserve the right to feel betrayed. He knew what he signed up for, right?
One thing was for certain: The Foot Clan wasnāt going to have a leader after the Hamato Family was done with them.
~
Leonardo and his brothers wasted no time meeting Shredder. Unexpectedly, Karai was the one sitting on his throne, waiting. Years and years of training could not have prepared them for this moment. Leonardo had to expect the best, but plan for the worst. Yet, he couldnāt stomach what the worst possible outcome could be. He wondered where Shredder was. Sure, Karai was a worthy opponent, but they never heard stories about her as the main focus from Splinter; it was always Oroku Saki. His name would linger in their minds like the plague. Humans feared death, loneliness, world conflicts, and doomsday. The turtles feared Shredder.
āSo naive.ā Karai looked directly at Leonardo, not even acknowledging the rest of his brothers. The leader wasnāt here for talking; he was here to handle business. His katanas became unsheathed, his face littered with disgust, distaste, and genuine hurt. But now, he wasnāt here to reason with Karai. He was here to kill her father. Here to set the record straight. Yet, he still felt a feeling of hurt.
Whatever, it didnāt matter now. Nothing mattered to Leo but his brothers and saving their father.
āGet up, Karai.ā
Leonardo was out for blood tonight. He didnt want to talk to her too much. After all, talking was what got him in this mess to begin with. He couldnāt seek closure, couldnāt seek any explanation. Karai did this because she has loyalty to Shredder. She owes nothing to the Hamato Clan and everything to the Foot Clan. As soon as Leonardo came to this conclusion, he began to fight with hate. Hot, searing hatred for Karai. The woman whose body he had been exploring for however long they were messing around. He hated her, he really, really hated her.
āYou want a fight?ā Leonardo watched intensely as Karai got up from her fatherās throne, her eyes looking what seemed to be straight into his soul. She jumped down to Leoās level, her single katana pointed at his head a few feet away.
āIāll give you a fight.ā
Karai was a good fighter. She knew she was. However, Leonardo was one, too, and he knew he was. So yes, he was absolutely putting belt to ass when it came to fighting Karai right now. He dodged, sliced, and jabbed everywhere he could, getting quite a few good hits in.
While Leonardo and Karai fought, the other three searched the surrounding area for Splinter, and as quickly as they found him, it was as quickly as Shredder found them, as well.
Leonardo wasnāt one to blackout; that was Raphās thing. However, when he saw his fatherās state, nothing mattered. A glance had caused Leoās whole world to come crashing down. His fatherās beaten, bruised body was a sight he never wanted to see. However, he had no choice but to.
āYou disrespect my master?ā His face was riddled with disgust, and his words had dripped with determination for what he was about to do to Shredder. Some might say Leonardo was delusional at this moment. To take on the Shredder? Oroku Saki? That might as well be a death wish.
But Leonardo dug deep during his fight with the Shredderās daughter. To find something, anything, within himself to light his soul on fire.
āIf only you joined us, Leo. We wouldnāt even have had to lift a finger.ā Karai said over the clash of her weapons with Leoās. The brown-eyed turtle came to a daunting realization: Thisā¦affair between him and the kunoichi had been a ploy. Some kind of mind game for him to join the Foot Clan. For some sick reason, they thought that if he joined, theyād be playing him like a puppet. Shredder and Karai are playing with his strings and making him do all their dirty work. The biggest task they had was eliminating Splinter.
Leonardo couldnāt wrap his head around Shredderās vendetta. He was jealous. Jealous of what Master Splinter had at one point in his life. It wasnāt a lot, but Splinter had it all. A beautiful wife and a beautiful baby stepdaughter. However, Splinterās stepdaughter was taken during the big fight and fire between him and Saki around her 5th birthday; her whereabouts are unknown.
Or were they?
āMiwaā¦youā¦youāreā¦ā Splinterās beaten-down body had turned as he lay on the floor behind Leonardo, seeing for the first time who Shredderās next heir would be when heās gone.
The sound of Karaiās original name caused her to pause. It made Leonardo stop, too. But, not before pinning her down with a knife to her throat. He wanted to end her.
āThatās not my name!ā Karai argued, coughing as Leoās blade dug just deep enough to draw blood, although he didnāt dare slice through just yet. He heard his father right. Splinter wasā¦Karaiās real father. There was no doubt about it. Leonardo didnāt even know Karaiās real name. How in the world would his sensei?
āYou shut up, and you listen, Karai,ā stated the leader. Yet, he couldnāt believe what he was hearing himself say.Ā
āYou listen to what your father has to say.ā
āI can no longer hear these lies, turtle.ā A new voice emerged, stopping everyone in their tracks.
---
Unfortunately, Saki was half-right. Miwa- or Karai- was not Splinter's biological daughter.Ā
However, Leonardo was half-right as well. Despite having very limited information.Ā
Yoshiās wife, Tang-Shen, was married previously. Her husband became terminally ill before he could watch his lovely daughter be born. Tang-Shen tried to rebuild her life, meeting Hamato Yoshi along the way. Despite not being blood-related, Splinter raised Miwa like one of his own.Ā
As they built their relationship, Yoshiās friend Saki only felt jealousy.Ā
He was always jealous of Yoshi. He wanted everything he had, including his wife and step-daughter, Miwa.Ā
---
And whatever Shredder wanted, he did everything in his power to get it.Ā
Leonardo had made up his mind about his next move. He knew his brothers werenāt going to like it, and it wasnāt part of the plan, but he had to. They cannot continue to live in fear of Oroku Saki.
āGet him out of here!ā Leonardo yelled to his brothers. But, they were torn, āAnd what? Leave you here?ā Raph retorted. Leo was thinking about Splinter and his brothersā well-being. If it meant him holding off Shredder while the others got to safety, he was more than willing to oblige.
āDonāt argue! Go!ā Raphael really didnāt want to leave his brother in this mess. However, it seemed to be the only option at the moment. Donnie needed to focus on Splinter, and Mikey needed to focus on driving them back home. There was an opening left for who was going to fight and take out any threats along the way, and who better to fill that role than the second-oldest brother, who just happened to be the strongest?
Raphael was still second-guessing this order, but when he watched Leonardo knock Karai out and kick her to the side like she was a nuisance had solidified his decision.
Leonardo turned a new leaf, and he was ready to prove himself to his family. Nothing was going to get in the way of the Hamato Clan anymore.
āHeās losing blood, we gotta go!ā The purple-banded turtle wrapped Splinterās head up, grabbing all his equipment to bring into the getaway truck. Gently picking up his father, Raphael sprinted out of Shredderās domain, but not before looking at his oldest brother before he did so.
āGood luck.ā He mouthed. Leonardoās eyes watched as Raph left, hopeful they would make it back in one piece. Shredderās Lair had a long runway leading up to his throne, and as Leo faced the man who had brought his family so much pain, standing near his godforsaken throne, looking down on him in disgust, Leonardo knew he had a big fight ahead of him.
===
āHowās he lookinā, Don?ā After finally getting home, Raphael grabbed a glass of water for Splinter while Mikey and Donnie helped him get situated in the lab. Though by the skin of their teeth, Raphael was filled with so much anger that he annihilated anything in their path. Although in and out of sleep from the events that had taken place tonight, Master Splinter was extremely grateful he had suggested they find a second hideout. Though nothing much was there except another lab for Donnie and his inventions, he was lucky they were at that refuge rather than their actual home. Luck was a word that got thrown around a lot tonight and had no plan of stopping.
āHeās stabilized, luckily, most of my medical equipment is here at home base, so Iām able to give him proper care.ā Raphaelās amber eyes watched the peaks on the EKG heart monitor hooked up to his father go up and down at a rhythmic pace. He didnāt know what anything on the screen meant, but to hear the same electronic pulse go at steady intervals meant Master Splinter was alright. Though his breathing was shallow, Splinterās fuzzy mouth formed a small smile. He trained his sons well.
~
Thirty minutes.
Thirty minutes had gone by since the three brothers brought Splinter back. His condition improved immensely afterĀ Donnie injected microdoses of mutagen into his veins. Though still needing to be hooked up to the machine, Donnie concluded the following:
āMotor functions seem to be okay, pupils are responding to light, and blood pressure is normal. Well, high from the sweets you ate this afternoon, but still normal for you.ā Splinter turned to Donnie, remembering the soft scolding he received after he got caught eating two Rice Krispies Treats with his tea.
āI regret nothing, my son.ā The third-oldest brother sighed, though relieved Splinterās personality was still intact and his sense of humor didnāt falter despite the situation he was in. āIām very happy youāre okay, Master Splinter,ā Donnie admitted with a relieved smile on his face.
A few moments later, Raphael and Michelangelo returned to the lab. They brought Donnie some coffee and had a conversation regarding Leonardo while doing so.
It was more Mikey being concerned, and Raph trying to be the strong older brother he is, and reassure him that Leonardo could handle himself. He knew that. He believed in his brother despite the betrayal he felt on the rooftop that night.
āHey, Splintah.ā Greeted Raph. He sat in the chair beside the bed, a wave of relief taking over him when he took the clipboard from the side table and read over Donnieās report. A few moments of silence went by before Splinter spoke. āRaphael, what seems to be bothering you?ā Splinterās hoarse voice asked. He wasnāt sure what transpired between the moment he was captured until the moment he was in Donnieās lab bed. With the help of the soft white light illuminating the lab, he saw a picture-perfect look of conflict and stress on his sonās face.
āLeo.ā He replied, eyes still fixated on the report. There was a depressing yet hopeful energy that was currently engulfing the Lair with no intention of ceasing. At least, thatās what Raphael was feeling right now.
āWhat about Leonardo, my son?ā
Raphael shifted in his seat, unsure of how to put it. āHeāsā¦fightinā Shreddah right now.ā He decided not to beat around the bush. Leonardo put himself in the line of fire to save the rest of his family. However, he hasnāt returned. Splinter noticed the uncertainty in his second oldestās face, yet remained calm for his and his brothersā sake.
āHow long?ā He asked. The red-banded turtle finally looked in his fatherās way, āItās beenā¦ā
āAbout thirty minutes.ā A new voice appeared. One Raphael wasnāt expecting.
āIāmā¦Iām scared, Splinter.ā It pained Raph to hear Mikeyās voice, shaking with fear as he began to overthink and fear for the worst regarding his big brother. āI donāt want him to be alone.ā Raphaelās gaze softened as Mikey spoke honestly. He couldnāt imagine the mental flips his mind was doing. All Mikey cared about right now was Leonardo being by himself. He didnāt want his big brother to die like that. To die alone, surrounded by nobody but the man who killed him.
āLeonardoā¦ā Splinterās brows furrowed, trying to fathom the situation his oldest son put himself in. Taking a deep sigh, he weakly grabs the glass of water to ease his scratchy throat.
āIā¦I did not think Leonardo would put himself in danger like that.ā He admits. Mikey looks at Donnie, yet his eyes are on Raph. Donnie knew his brother way too well. He watches as Raphās left leg pulses up and down, almost as if heās thinking of something thatāll fix this whole thing.
Suddenly, Raphael shoots up from his seat, realizing that this is something he has to do. āIām goinā.ā He walks out of the lab, hearing movement and shuffling as he does so. He doesnāt wait for Splinter to agree or disagree with his decision. The last thing he needed was his father to say no. He grabs his sai, which he threw onto the couch earlier, and puts them back in their holster on his sides. Quickly making his way to the entrance, he hears a voice that makes him hesitate.
āWait, Raph!ā Called out Mikey, āDonāt you want one of us to go with you?ā
Determined golden eyes didnāt dare go looking into Mikeyās. Raphael knew it would be best for Mikey and Donnie to stay with Splinter.
āStay here. Both of you.ā Raphaelās fingers grasped the pipe to open the entrance, keeping it there for a moment. He could feel Mikeyās frown begin to form, and decided not looking back at his brother would be the best option. He didnāt need to see how upset Mikey was.
āButā¦wouldnāt it be best if-ā āI said what I said.ā Raphael did not want to argue or go back and forth with Mikey right now. He made up his mind, and thatās final.
His fingers gripped the cold cylinder, halfway turning it before the entrance opened on its own.
At least, thatās what he thought it did.
As the entrance opened, it revealed someone Raphael was shocked to see.
Though dark in the sewer behind him, the eldest brotherās body was engulfed in the shadows, only his head and plastron illuminating from the Lairās lighting. His presence was unsettling. Raphael backed up, the wounded terrapin limping to follow suit. He held the heavy headpiece he fought so hard to obtain weakly with his right arm, yet with so much pride that it never faltered from his grip. The two turtles recognized what he was holding instantly.
Shredderās helmet. His crown, if you want to call it that.
The eldest gave a shaky, blood-ridden smile. āHey, Raph.ā His tone was dark, borderline alarming. Before Raphael could take his appearance in, Leonardo suddenly collapsed. The helmet he brought back rolled off down the small ramp to the couch. It appeared his adrenaline rush was finally over once his body knew he was somewhere safe. Raphael immediately rushed to his side, cupping his head and began to scan his endless injuries. His breath was shaky, yet he remained somewhat conscious.
āDonnie!ā Without hesitation, the tech-savvy turtle jumped from his seat, immediately running toward the Lairās entrance. There, he watched as his two brothers surrounded his leader, unsure of what to do. In need of guidance. Medical guidance.
The purple-banded turtle had his work cut out for him right now. Leonardo had so many cuts, bruises, gashes, and wounds that Donnie couldnāt keep count. His right eye had been bruised and blackened; many knots littered his forehead. Leonardoās blue bandana was hanging by a thread- struggling to stay on his face. In addition, Donnie could tell that his left shoulder appeared to have dislocated, yet he sported the deep colored bruise like a prize. Donnie concluded that Leonardo- in the middle of his adrenaline rush, mustāve popped it back in place.
All three brothers helped their leader get to comfort in the lab, and they placed him gently in the second bed next to Splinter. Donnieās index and middle fingers went to Leoās neck, checking his pulse.
āIā¦ā A raspy voice tried to speak, yet struggled with each breath. āHuh?ā Donnie leaned in, wondering if Leonardo needed something urgent.
āKilled.ā Donnie sat up, looking at his two brothers and Splinter, who, despite being too sore to move much, sat up to look at his eldest son.
āKilled? Whatās he talking about, Donnie?ā A concerned Michelangelo asked. Though Donnie couldnāt understand what his cryptic words meant.
āYouā¦killed him?ā Raphael asked, his other brotherās eyes widening at the once reluctant hero in front of them.
āā¦ā Leonardo no longer spoke. Barely alive, yet still breathing. He was hooked up to the secondary EKG quickly, and the peaks compared to his senseiās wereā¦concerning. Though the family didnāt want to think about it, he couldāve died. In fact, he was extremely lucky he didnāt.
It didnāt take a rocket scientist to understand what Leonardo was babbling about. Mikey remembered what Leo came back with, running to the living room to grab where it carelessly rolled off to.
Master Splinterās eyes recognized what his youngest was holding, his heart heavy, although freed at the same time. From Leonardoās perplexing communication yet calculated choice of words, along with the extremely familiar metal helmet, he came to a sanguine realization.
āHeās gone.ā
Nobody spoke in the next few moments. Raphael couldnāt believe the words his sensei spoke. He always knew Leonardo was strong, resilient, and determined. Butā¦to killā¦who he thinks he admitted to killing isā¦unrealistic.
Nobody has fought the Shredder and made it out alive- the sole exception being Hamato Yoshi, their father. Yet, the look Master Splinter wore was one of relief. Content.
Freedom.
āOroku Saki is dead.ā

A/N: hello, everyone! I hope you enjoyed! Unfortunately, I had to break the canon when it came to Karai's relation to Splinter. I don't know what the 2012 writers were thinking when they not only made Karai Splinter's daughter but Leo her somewhat love interest lol I know in the 2007 version they aren't related period, but like with Serendipity, I like to sprinkle in the different versions of the turtles into the 2007 verse! It's also because we only got ONE movie and ONE video game that follows the movie as content.
