The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

I'll be honest with you. A character being Black INHERENTLY affects how they are perceived by a fandom. "It's not about race" is valid when it's a vocal minority or something like that, but for the vast majority of the fandom, you need to start questioning if it's really just about their actions.
I used to dislike Demetrius however, my sister pointed out that he may have autism which genuinely got me thinking more about his character and disliking him less.
Right now he's more on a neutral stand point for me. Of course I'm not going to ignore that some flaws may very well be shared with Robin. I love her, but I know she ain't a perfect queen like we all want her to be and that's fine 😌

Hi! I'd like to talk about Squid Games! My thoughts! It has been a hit minute since I've seen S1, but I'ma still talk about it while it's fresh.
I also mention some things from Attack on Titan so...if you're in the process of reading/watching that be warned there are spoilers too.
Full spoilers down below! So be careful!
Starting from the beginning!
Dae-ho. Oh poor Dae-ho... I lokey feel bad for this dude. I do see people pointing out a lot of potential being ripped away from this character especially with the exposition we got from him about him just lying about everything (edit: this is in the dub. To my understanding he was actually a Social Service Personnel which isn't mentioned in the dub). Kind of wish he was explored more, but oh well. I still genuinely like his character.
Yong-sik. oh this silly fella. When I saw the trailer, I just knew he was going to die first because I saw Geum-ja's reaction, but the way it happened?! OMG 😭 HORRIBLE!!! Actually enjoyed his character no lie! Very silly and felt bad for bro.
Speaking of Geum-ja. I WAS ACTUALLY UPSET! But actually I also saw it coming. Because Hide and Seek reminded me of the Marbles episode (y'all remember that one 🙂) and please don't ask how, but I was reminded of the married couple. If I remember both of them entered without realizing the other entered which is basically what had happened with Yong-sik and Geum-ja. At the same time however, just AH! No! 😭
And then girlie pop proceeds to drop lore onto Gi-hun and it just made things WORSE, and I sat there like..."is she gonna off herself?" I- I am still recovering! And then Jun-hee crying for her? Omg 😭 Geum-ja! Lokey my fave. A mama who's made mistakes, but she still showed that she is a good mom trying to help her son 🙏 love her!
Hyun-ju. Oof... Yeah no when she died... I was in pain...I love her too... Her death did remind me a lot of Sasha from AoT...very unexpected 🙂🥲
Jun-hee. The stress this woman gave me when she broke her ankle, then her water. The stress! I aged like 10 years and lost 20 years of my life bro. I honestly like the relationship she had with our characters especially with Geum-ja. Even though she was mostly quiet with her, I actually enjoyed it. Lokey, I actually thought Geum-ja was going to live longer for Jun-hee's sake actually. Like maybe Jun-hee saw Geum-ja as a mother and Geum-ja seeing her as a daughter. No lie...her trusting Gi-hun with the baby was kind of funny only because it showed how much she did not like Myung-gi. Which speaking of...
Myung-gi. I have seen people hate him, people still love him. I will admit he's a 50/50 for me 😅 and I think it has to be the possible inconsistency of his character. He actually genuinely looked to be going through a redemption arc, and then changed it when he killed Hyun-ju. Which is why people hate him. Like...I get it he killed the favorite character. I too was mad that he killed Hyun-ju! Upset! But I was still neutral only cuz I wanted to see where this character was going.
If I may. I see that this reaction is similar to that of Gabi Braun from Attack on Titan (yes I know they're very different shows but please hear me out). Gabi became the most hated character in AoT because she killed a fan favorite character. Sasha Braus. Sasha is my favorite character. Loved her. I sobbed when she died. Did I hate Gabi? Well, yeah I'll admit I did, but throughout the series we see character development and it's some cool character development that made me actually start liking Gabi. Do I hate her? Not really because she's actually an interesting character in my opinion.
This is the case with Myung-gi. People hate him because he killed a fan favorite character. I started hating him when they got to the jump rope game because BRO WHY ARE YOU STANDING THERE WHILE YOUR GF IS BROKEN AND CAN'T MOVE. And like I understand that Jun-hee DID NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM, but I feel like that round could've been the opportunity for redemption... obviously we didn't get that, then the fact that he was willing to kill his own child! Crazy shit bro!
So Myung-gi? Kinda disappointed because I did see potential for redemption, but it is what it is. It can represent that even if people have potential to be good, they're more than likely gonna be assholes. That's one way to look at it.
Gyeong-seok (Player 246)! Praise be all he lived and escaped! 😭 I was stressing and scared for bro's life! After a few games? Bro just wanted to leave 😭 and he did 🙏I was actually going to be mad if he died!
No-eul! She is basically the Sae-byeok. While I did like her character. I feel like it was a bit on the nose of her basically being the "new Sae-byeok" character. No hate to her because I do think she was badass that's just my only thing. She did save my boy Gyeong-seok.
Ahhh the Search for the Island sub-plot...lokey in my opinion...kind of wasted. Like Cuz like...Jun-ho finally finds the island...only for that shit to explode...right...I kind of wish there was more and it lokey I feel like it was just wasted potential. Lokey I feel like the writers were like "damn what do we do with this plot?" The only good thing is that they found Gyeong-seok and saved him, but honestly that's it...
VIPs? They're VIPs they're stupid and lokey annoying, but I think that's the point. Very interesting how they were in the games as soldiers in Hide and Seek. Would've been hilarious if one of them actually died to a player lol. Other than that? Hate them especially with the whole having the baby as a player thing that was just sickening.
In-ho! Or Young-il! Very interesting character not going to lie! I like how we see him as cold and calculating when he's Frontman, but more on the calculating side when disguised. I like how as a player we do get an idea of what kind of person he was before the games especially those flashbacks we got? I really loved those touches! Also when the VIPs were like "Yeah let's have the baby be a player" you can tell In-ho was uncomfortable with that, and it's possibly because of his backstory. Which is mainly why he called Gi-hun, whilst also trying to entertain the VIPs. Also? Giving Jun-ho the baby? Kinda funny in my opinion. Bro really said "here you go bro! Also here's the money she won lol!" And then going to Gi-hun's daughter to give her the money? It shows that yes he's hella evil, but he is...sort of empathic or at least it's possible that his interactions with Gi-hun and seeing how he was during the games made him be a bit empathetic. I wouldn't complain if they do a spin-off story about In-ho I think he's an interesting character to me!
Of course! Gi-hun! Ah Gi-hun. He's a mix bag of opinions, but I think he's something (in a good way). He is a dirt bag of a father and he knows it too. And no lie...his character is so tragic. Bro really tried and failed. Literally. I feel like him killing Dae-ho was...sorta out of character? But at the same time bro was just rage. He lost his only best friend from outside the games.
In S1 he's silly, and innocent (bit of stretch but hopefully you get what I mean). In s2 and 23. He's on a mission to end it all to save people and to avenge those he lost in S1. I really like how we see his character just spiral! We already see it in S1 as he is smiling less and less, then in S2 bro is just angry 24/7. We see this dude going out his way to actually kill people. Feels guilty for killing Dae-ho. Then he's just tired... Not gonna lie...had the writers made Gi-hun kill that baby I would've riot because that would definitely be a character assassination! When Gi-hun got that flash back of Sae-byeok! AH! it's a nice reminder that Gi-hun wouldn't really kill unless he had to and that was the case with the revolt. The dude on jump rope? Self defense. Dude he stabbed on Sky Squid? Self defense also protect a baby! With Myung-gi? If he could save him? He probably would. Dae-ho? . . .yeah that's the only time he went a lil silly which is why I say it felt out of character, but at the same time he was also very angry and guilt ridden and just didn't process right (while it is partially true that Dae-ho is at fault for getting everyone killed? But dude was scared and it was Gi-hun's plan to revolt so...)

I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ENDING!
Preferably, I actually enjoyed the ending! Open ended and the main character sacrificing himself! I actually like that and it fits well with Gi-hun's character to sacrifice himself for a literal child especially if he saw the baby as his own daughter! Plus I don't think bro would love another day knowing EVERYONE DIED AGAIN and he made it out with a child. I see a lot of people wishing he made it out with the baby and he kept the baby? But I dunno 🤔 I do like this ending we got 😁
