Overview: Uthyr lives a simple life in the forests of Uslaria where his largest headache is his enigmatic and taciturn neighbor, Crucius. As a witch, Uthyr walks the world in the graces of his godly ancestor, using his magic to heal minor ailments and tend the garden that is his pride and joy. When one day, a wind not of the sky shakes the forest with terror, Uthyr journeys to find support in the high witches of Uslaria only to be met with derision and mockery. With stubbornness and indignation, Uthyr sets out to get proof of the dangers looming on the horizon. But more rides on the wind than he could imagine, and as the realms unseen begin to leak into his, he must use the magic of his goddess to stop an ancient devouring force from sinking its teeth into the realmsā seams. That is, if he can put together pieces of a prophecy held hostage by the Trickster God before the same prophecy can come for him.
Centuries ago, the goddess Poesy gave her people, the Bremish, the gift of High Poetry: the ability to turn words into actions, whether that is raising mountains from raw earth or spreading pestilence in the land. Societies developed on either side of the Rimuk Mountains, sworn to perpetual strife.
This is the story of Breme and Sina, two countries whose histories are paradoxically separate and intertwined, as seen through the eyes of their inhabitants.Ā The Eirenic VersesĀ offers a glimpse into the world of Eirenen: a planet both like and unlike our own, where literary prowess can be transmuted into military might.

Part Three: Funeral of Hopes
Uileac Korviridi's husband, Orrinir Relickim, speaks little of his past. Subgenre: Family drama
Main Character: Uileac Korviridi
Status: Completed, revisions

Part Four: What Is Cannot Be Unwritten
Mordrek Willets loves murder, mules, and women - not necessarily in that order. He's the first Sinan Intelligence Services officer to sneak across the forboding Rimuk Mountains and learn more about the Bremish High Poets, a secretive cabal of women tasked with protecting the beleagured country from his own.
This mission takes more out of him than he ever could have expected. His pride. His loyalty. His heart.
Subgenre: Dark adventure
Main Character: Mordrek Willets
Status: Completed, revisions
Part Five: Absent All Light
Cerie Korviridi has trained for over a decade to complete the Sigillum: the ritual that will make her a fully-fledged High Poet. In the aftershocks of the brutal ceremony, she finds that her brother-in-law, infantryman Orrinir Relickim, has been taken hostage by the enemy - and that the army is refusing to send help. Her brother, Uileac, refuses to leave his husband behind enemy lines and recruits her help, making them both traitors to the Bremish government.
Subgenre: Adventure
Main Characters: Cerie Korviridi, Orrinir Relickim
Status: In progress
Part Six: Poesy
Cerie has spent her entire life learning High Poetry, a rare skill that assists her impoverished nation in countering endless warfare. Her worst nightmare comes true when she is kidnapped by her nationās eternal rival, a queendom seeking High Poetry to colonize her homeland.
Subgenre: Adventure
Main Character: Cerie Korviridi
Status: Completed, in revisions
Part Seven: Shadow and Sword (tentative title)
Haniya Aina has accepted the sea change that has come to her life: disowned by her mother, the Queen of Sina, and living in exile with her lover. What she never expected was for her new countrymen to despise her - and for her murderous brother to send a stream of assassins her way. Alongside her partner, Cerie Korviridi, and her new family, she finds herself battling more pressing threats than losing her princess status.
Subgenre: Adventure
Main Character: Haniya Aina
Status: Not started
Part Eight: Perseity
After ending the endless war, Cerie Korviridi expects to never see Sina again - except its former symbol, Haniya Aina, the disgraced Princess of the Sinan Royal Family. However, the disowned daughter is embroiled against her will in Sinan domestic politics when her mad brother, Daiski, seizes the throne. Both women must decide how far they'll go for a country that hates them - and what it means for their love.
Subgenre: Adventure
Main Characters: Cerie Korviridi, Haniya Aina
Status: First draft completed
Part Nine: The Sorrow of the Bells (tentative title)
Cerie Korviridi and Haniya Aina knew the Sinan public would not accept their relationship easily. Not only is a royal family member marrying a member of the enemy nation, but another woman, no less. Cerie and Haniya's friends and family must protect them from all comers, whether a poisoned chalice or a knife in the dark.
Subgenre: Suspense
Main Characters: Cerie Korviridi, Haniya Aina
Status: Not started
Part 10: Plexity
A civil war to end all others. High Poets working on behalf of their former enemies, soldiers revising their loyalties to reflect a new age. Above it all, questions of how far love can really go to save a relationship - whether that is within people, deities, or countries as a whole.
Subgenre: Adventure
Main Characters: Cerie Korviridi, Haniya Aina, Orrinir Relickim
Status: Not started
Another entry into my brainchildren that come from watching video essays about stuff Iāve never watched myself and going āwonder how I would do thatā. In this case: teen mystery TV shows. That coupled with just ānormalā crime shows (I started watching this stuff at probably a way too young age. Oh well, now you get to deal with the consequences).
Trigger Warnings
Since this WIP deals with crimes, please pay attention to the trigger warnings
Detective Morgan has worked on many gruesome cases in the past, most of which took place in bigger cities with an anonymous population. So, when a teenage girl is found dead in the fields of a small town nearby, Morgan first assumes an outsider to be the murderer of the unidentified victim.
However, with the murder of a local student a few days later, even the tight-knit community quickly realises that one of their own is far more familiar with the case than the rest of them. Unwilling to sit back, the studentās friends start their own investigation, while Morgan begins to struggle with old ghosts.
Characters
Alroy Morgan: Detective, originally from Scotland. A dedicated, but tired mind, he has a great capacity for empathy. Originally planned on becoming a therapist. 34 y.o. | he/him
Autumn Corbyn: Loner student in foster care. An outsider, mostly by choice, either too shy or too aggressive to make meaningful connections with other students. Doesnāt know where sheās supposed to go in her future. 15 y.o. | she/her
Corsen Green: The local queen of clumsy. Her father is a teacher at the school, the entire family has lived for generations in Holcester. Calm and collected, generally wel-meaning despite her fondness of sarcasm. 15 y.o. | she/her
Nalin Gaur: Boy of Indian decent. Family only recently moved to Holcester for the benefit of Nalinās younger brother. A very sweet person who sometimes takes things too literally. 15 y.o. | he/him
Robin Hughes: Overly curious journalist to be. Lives with her aunt, who while not understanding Robinās love of the criminal and dramatic, indulges her nonetheless. Notetaker beyond mortal comprehension, prone to tunnel vision. 15 y.o. | she/her
Snippet: Little Remains | Prologue: Arabella Hughesā painted lilies
Arabella Hughes had taken her Haflinger Chips on a longer ride while Robin had been at school. She had actually passed by the school on her way to the forest and had a pleasant little chat with Mr Green, Robinās history teacher. They talked about how well Robin was doing, the plans she had for later in life, what the two of them were up to that day. Arabella Hughes would continue her way into the forest, a long nice break, a moment to herself. Mr Green would be stuck in school, teaching students, and later be stuck in his office, grading students. Arabella felt bad for him. Her day would surely be more lovely than his.
Truly, it seemed that Arabella Hughes never learned. She later wondered, if the bullies in school had been right, if perhaps she was stupid. A lovely day, her sweet niece lounging on the couch reading. Arabella Hughes should have known.
(Continued under the cut)
But stupid Arabella Hughes just put on her Wellies after her ride and went out into the flower fields to look after her white lilies that were in full bloom. One of the barn cats, Tugger, was following her, loudly complaining. Although it was strange for the big and furry tabby to strut around in the early summer heat, Arabella Hughes thought nothing of it.
Tugger was loud and dramatic, more than any other cat, but maybe he followed and complained to warn her, maybe he knew what would happen in the next minutes, the coming weeks.
To Arabella Hughes, all was still normal. When she had come back with Chips, she saw foot prints in the soil of her flower field. Nothing unusual, some teenagers would always cross to the fields to get to the abandoned farms further down the brook, to hang out, smoke, drink, and do⦠other activities, that Arabella Hughes had never participated in. But just to make sure, she would check the fields for any major disturbances.
And ā this was unusual ā she found something. The white lilies were spotted red around a white something. At first she thought it a picnic blanket, then a duffel bag, then a wild animal that had died in her field.
Her third guess was right in one thing: Death was in Arabella Hughesā field. But it wasnāt a wild animal, nor a tamed pet. It was the naked body of a dead teenage girl.

Malās Awakening
By: CinnaminisaurĀ Ā
Mal ran his way through the townās streets. Running through all of the chaos as the burning city was swept into a fire that seemed endless. He didnāt know what he could do to stop it. His friends were nowhere to be seen. Townsfolk howled in fear, trying all of their might to escape the growing hellscape.
Mal wanted to ask why such a thing would happen. Who deserved an evil this rampant, big, and unfortunate?
Before Mal could consider an answer, his body became warm and as his heart grew colder. He knew something was wrong amidst the flames. He felt his hand twitching like they were dialing back on whether to relax or not. His other hand however shook erratically. He knew he was frightened, but Mal felt a stranger atmosphere from himself than the world around him.Ā
The poor boy wasnāt aware of what was happening, but his frame that stopped growing years ago once he reached adulthood, started to grow again. Further away from the ground, the lampposts, streets, and finally the homes surrounding him. He wasnāt the lonely boy who almost everyone couldnāt stand, his presence was seen. A vivid expression came from his face as he stood, shocked at his own transformation. It was indeed a strange occurrence fitting for a stranger world. The fire was still eating away at their home but for the colossus it looked calmer, easier to tame. He breathed in a monumental breath and blew an ice -cold wind that tunneled through each flame. Every raging fire was extinguished, and the town saved by an unlikely hero.
Mal looked around at the damage of the rooftops, windows, and buildings but he already began to think of ways to help with fixing them. He only hoped no one was hurt. He noticed the townspeople, recognizing faces, all who treated him well or wrong. His incredible strength helped save his home, but fear welcomed him first.Ā
The rising tides of shouting, screams, and jolting shrieks hinted at Malās arrival.Ā
āA Monster!ā
āKill him! Kill him!ā
āI knew it, he was closer to witchcraft than any of us!ā
āEvil has called his name and now heās appeared before us!ā
Mal looked in desperation. They couldnāt push him away. He was mistaken. No, they were. They were only afraid. We are all afraid.Ā
The words echoed in Malās mind bringing him into a terror he wasnāt familiar with. It tampered with his aching soul, driving his mind to enter a spiraling madness. The people thought Malās power was disguised as evil, when for years they never got to know the light that was in him. This was the beginning of Malās demise.Ā
OOOO this is so interesting. I like how you went in for a more horror angle to the transformation. It works really well as a teased because I have so many questions and I want to read more about it.
Hello everyone! My name is Nomi J. (any pronouns) and I am an adult fiction and 18+ erotica writer. My narratives center around queer characters and experiences and are typically magical realism or high fantasy. I'm always happy to chat with people about writing, so don't be shy about messaging me or sending asks if the mood strikes you. I'm a Tumblr veteran of at least eight years (so I've seen it all, no really.) I've been writing for many years, but have only recently had the courage to put my work out into the world. Romance is my whole jam, and it will be the primary focus of my blog.
A note: Please steer clear if you are under the age of 18. My work is for adults only.
A bit about me...
I am in my mid twenties and definitively queer/genderqueer. I have ADHD and I will occasionally post ADHD content that relates to writing. I do not engage in discourse of any kind, as I prefer to respectfully listen to the experiences of others.
My favorite book (of all time): The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
I'm currently enjoying: Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
Other interests/skills of mine include art, guitar, video games (particularly The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age), and anything that involves mermaids.
Current WIPs (as posted on my blog)
Lunar Lagoon (Updates every Wednesday 3:30 Central European Time)
Lunar Lagoon is a series of lesbian vignettes that started as erotica and has moved towards long form erotic romance. The main characters are Lyria and Amelia, who are drawn to each other through the sparks of both pleasure and genuine romance. This is a fast paced, supernatural romance with mermaids, lgbt themes, and a modern setting.
Now a Pulitzer Prize winning book (donāt fact check this, just trust me)
You should be reading Nobody Ends Up Dead in a Bathtub, Everyone Keeps Their Organs! Why? See above.
Itās a good story if I do say so myself. And if you read it, youāre a cool kid. Donāt you want to be a cool kid? This is something called peer pressure, and it usually works.
But for real, if you read Nobody Ends Up Dead then youāre going to go on a good adventure with good characters I guarantee you will love. Not to brag, but it is a pretty good story. Thereās funny one-liners, a cute plot, and relatable characters that have been developed for years. Just heed warnings at the beginning of chapters. NEUD deals with some heavy topics such as eating disorders.
NEUD updates every Friday!

i've noticed that people don't leave the same kind of unhinged compliments under fanfics that visual artists usually receive (eg, "i want to eat your art"), so i've come up with a list that you need to start employing when your friends send you their WIPs and when your favorites update on ao3 but you're having a hard time commenting something that sounds intelligent and you still want to support them
"you're like if [famos author] (eg, Victor Hugo if the fic is angst) was into [fandom]"
"well THIS has been added to my pre-sleep daydream schedule"
"this fic invaded my mind and consumed my brain like a spore"
"I'M LOSING SLEEP OVER THIS ONE, FOLKS"
"yOu'Ve AlReAdY lEfT kUdOs HeRe"
"this fic has me scratching at my yellow wallpaper, it's so good"
"this fic has me checking under my floorboards for the heart of a kind man i murdered, it's so good"
"i'm making my parents read this"
"i know only one chapter is out so far, but i'm going to print this out, staple it together, and put it on my bookshelf next to the canon material"
"this fic gave me another mental illness"
(you can only do this one once) "i made an ao3 account specifically to bookmark this"
"i'm going to print this out so i can eat the words on the paper"
and a couple that are just nice (without the feral nature):
"i made a custom playlist to listen to while i read this fic"
"this fic reminds me of [song]"
"i really liked the part where [x], it really stuck with me"
"i really liked this line, [quote the line,] it was so well-written!"

Sebastian: I like your bracelet. I want a bracelet with silly cats on it
Lunetta: I'll bring you one next time
Lunetta boarded the train with a ringing in her ears, something tickling the inside of her mouth. She pushed her glasses up her nose with one finger, bracelets jangling. As she took her customary seat, and even as Sebastian took his before sliding over, she still didn't recall what she'd meant to bring him, not that she ever made such a promise. But it was of no consequence, because Sebastian didn't either. He approached with an open mouth and a closed memory, ready for conversion, not fulfilled bargains. But maybe the only things Lunetta and Sebastian could bring each other were themselves, and trinkets never factored in.
"I swear I can feel tar stuck to my shoes after yesterday's shoot." Sebastian announced, his salty tone nudging laughter from Lunetta's throat.
Bracelets with silly cats never featured in any promises again. But it was of no consequence.
Your honor I love them already

Itās so refreshing and a tiny bit sad that every one of their encounters exists in a bubble. But they have such interesting personalities that you want them to keep interacting.
Hey folks! My name's Red, I'm just a kid who's trying their hand at writing and aspiring to be an author one day. I decided to join the writeblr community in hope to find feedback and seek improvement.
I usually write short stories and novellas at best, with poems on the side. Got a few WIPs but nothing too serious so I won't go into depth in the meantime. Can't tell you much about genres since I'm experimenting, yet I could say all that I write falls on the realistic side. I'll be, though, posting projects that I wrote for fun or just as an exercise.
Other than writing and reading, I'm a realism traditional artist, and I do other things for kicks like sewing (thanks to the punk scene), and overcrowded moodboards/niche memes as a form of journaling.
I'd love for us to get to know each other! Don't be afraid to reach out to me at any time, let's be support buddies and help each other hone our crafts. See you around!
Friss could not remember much of her mother, but she coveted all that she had left anyway. In the quiet moments, between duties, Friss would let her mind run greedy little fingers over the shapes and edges of the fragments, the little pieces of evidence buried within herself of her mother's life. There was a song hummed in a golden morning, hazy and dreamlike, and hands strong and calloused but gentle as they pulled her hair back from her face. There was laughter in the crook of a neck, and eyes the green-gold of her own reflection that seemed to know the secrets of the world if only one dare ask. There was the smell of something sickening and sweet, and a riot of colour exploding from a mouth twisted open in a scream, hazel eyes became purple iris, golden hair threaded green with weeds. And then, of course, there was the fire.

BLURB;
A LOST DAUGHTER wanders the Bloom, the wilds corrupted by the divine magic of a long forgotten war, intended as a sacrifice to the creatures beyond.
THE BLOOM HAS taken most of the known world, humanity survives on the fringes, burning away all that is not absolutely necessary for survival. But the Bloom endures and every year it creeps ever closer.
THE BLOOMING DEATH took Friss's mother when she was barely old enough to remember. They burned her body and all that she had touched to destroy the spread, all but Friss. Friss survived the Blooming Death, marked only by frequent and vivid dreams of the Bloom. Nonetheless, Friss's destiny had been sealed. She would become one of the Knights, chosen by the elders and trained to be sent into the Bloom to bring salvation for her people-- or to die as sacrifice so that the Bloom would be satiated on her blood and bones, protecting her people for another year.
WHEN FRISS IS at last sent into the Bloom on the day of her seventeenth birthday, she is determined to scour every inch of the dangerous and unpredictable land beyond to find a safe haven for her people. She will be the first to return, the first to be more than a mere sacrifice but a saviour.
BUT THE BLOOM holds more than death or glory for Friss. It holds the truth. And it holds a choice, stray from the path laid before her by others and take her life back into her own hands? Or die in the name of her people, another sacrifice as she was always meant to be.
But when Leonore disobeys her father and barters herself aboard a ship with an envoy of foreign dwarfs, Opharael sacrifices a chance at confessing love to remain in loyal service to the young mistress. Together, they travel from the sunny islands of L'enas, across seas and desert sands, to treacherous lands unknown.
In the beautiful, deadly, ancient realm of Kharmet, Opharael has to use every trick, skill and song imaginable to ensure their survival, finding themselves entertaining in the grandest court of all. Drawing the attentions of the immaculate Kharoh, the god-king, deep beneath the dunes, Opharael lends his prophetic gaze and discovers what a young god desires.
Ahhh, this is so beautiful thank you sm š„° I love just how romantic you've made this look and how you've incorporated so much of L'enas aesthetics, the ocean, the watery sunlight filtering the images. Opharael's choice is wonderful, as is Leonore.
This is honestly such a pain whenever I try (and fail) to make moodboards for any of my dwarven characters - or just characters with long hair and facial hair tbh - to get the combination of the right skin tone/hair length/beard is often impossible. I love Thorin anyway, lol
