Revived from her reverie

Taken by her terror

Transformed by the shock

Jolted

She breathed in air

But it came out daggers

She caught her breath

But it slipped through her fingers

She held hands

But found a claw in her grasp

She gave her all

But left with scars

She went to sleep

But rose in a nightmare

She rested in the snow

But awoke in the summer

This is the story of you

This is the story of me

This is the story of the aftermath
