Don't come at me for shipping an immortal anthropomorphic spirit dog with a 17 year-old village girl raised by a priestess in a fictional monster-infested 1500s japan when you're perfectly fine with said immortal spirit dog's equally immortal brother making out with his 15 year-old girlfriend before later marrying her and also fine with a 19-year old monk sexually harassing his 16 year-old love interest multiple times before she finally "falls for him" and has his kids at 17.
Take your double standards and virtue signaling somewhere else. It's a cartoon and it's just not that heavy.

It was hard sometimes to know what, exactly, Childe felt towards Lumine.
Sometimes, he dreamed of a simple life with her. What if he wasnāt part of the Fatui, and she wasnāt a stranger from some place farther than he could imagine? If they had been two ordinary people, if they didnāt have unseen scars they nursed within their hearts, if they never knew what the weight of a weapon felt like, they might have fallen in love.
RIN IS PREGNANT but she knows Lord Sesshoumaru has LOTS of enemies who would want to kill her and her unborn babies in order to deal him a blow. So they hide her away in a secret fortress, with only Jaken as company, until the day comes where she has to deliver.
Now Rin knows she is having twins. Not only did old Kaede tell her when she was still living in the village, but she can feel her babies fighting for space inside her womb. When she goes into labor she only wants Lord Sesshoumaru by her side, utterly confident that she can handle delivering twins, and again, there is a sense of secrecy to keep her children safe.
The first baby is quick enough, with dark hair just like Rin's, and she barely makes a squeak as she looks up at her father with deep, wise eyes. Sesshoumaru names her Setsuna on the spot. They wait for the second baby, but this time something is wrong. The contractions are painful, and Rin knows she can't do it on her own. But what is Sesshoumaur to do? Rin is unable to care for the first born, she is sweating and screaming in agony, trying to birth the second, but if he leaves her to get help what will happen?
So Sesshoumaru goes to the only place he knows will have help. He takes Setsuna and flies off in a rush to the village where his brother lives, straight to the cabin where the demon huntress sleeps with her husband and children. She had birthed several babies. She would know what to do.
Miroku, ever the one to keep watch, senses him coming and stands outside. He is shocked when Sesshoumaru thrusts a newborn baby into his arms and strides into the house, hastily grabbing Sango by the arms and tells her that Rin is dying, and she will go with him. She protests, but she doesn't really have a choice in his death grip, and besides which she sees the baby in Miroku's arms and knows what is up.
I just love the image of a VERY confused Miroku holding a baby who is NOT HIS and watching his wife sail into the sky at Sesshoumaru's side. Its hysterical, leave me alone.
And of course Inuyasha comes over to know what the commotion is about, and Miroku tells him to keep watch over the kids while he goes after Sango with the baby. Inuyasha wants to know where the baby came from and when Miroku tells him its his brother's, Inuyasha is all "AAAH?!" He goes to gossip to Kagome, who is recovering from her own birth just a week prior. She tells Inuyasha to watch the kids and takes off after Miroku, jumping on Kirara's back as they go after Sesshoumaru. So Inuyasha wants to go because WHAT THE FUCK SESSHOUMARU, but he has his own girl and Sango's kids to watch now.
And then when Sango gets to the palace she finds Rin worn out and bleeding, but still strong enough to go on, and she helps turn the breach baby around, having just helped Kagome with the same problem. After that it only takes a minute and Rin now has her second baby nestled in her arms, cuddled up next to Sesshoumaru, who is much relieved to find her alive and better after that.
Then of course Miroku and Kagome show up and Kagome gives Sesshoumaru hell about not fetching her along with Sango. While Miroku keeps trying to pass the other baby back to Rin.
And the mother is fine and so are the babies and Sesshoumaru names the white haired girl Towa and EVERYONE IS HAPPY THE END.

Rin glanced up from her tea as the door slightly slid open. In a flash of movement, a blur of red ricocheted through the small opening. Flower petals filled her vision, blossoms tucked and tickled beneath her nose, offered by a red-faced child with sharp golden eyes and ears perked at attention.Ā
From across the table, a choked noise drew her attention to the trio looking on in amusement, and the pointed stare at her back reminded her of the fourth observing quietly. She balanced the cup in her hand before setting it down neatly on its saucer, resting her hands in her lap as she looked over the pale orange and greens of the flowers.Ā
No inuparents but more so sesshomaru. So like I imagine if the mom is a normal human giving birth to half demon twins was simply too much for her and she passed shortly after the birth. So after the girls are born sesshomaru is very forlorn but brings his daughters to meet Inuyasha Kagome and their new baby. They didn't even know he got married let alone had kids so it's a nice bonding moment where Inuyasha comforts his brother over his loss and they offer support in raising their nieces.
Oof this became something a lot bigger than I intended:
Sesshomaru knew what he wanted to do, where he wanted to goā but the more pressing issue at hand was what he needed to do.
Flying through the midday sky, cradling two infants with his sword hand and keeping them safely out of sight with the soft furs of his pelt, Sesshomaru headed East towards Edo village in search of... help. Regrettably, he had to accept that fact, because it was not his fault he couldn't provide for his children in this specific circumstance. It was simply a biological impossibility. They needed fed, and they had no patience for traveling. It would take far too long to not only locate the Castle in the Skies, but to then also find a suitable, level-headed wet-nurse that wouldn't put their lives in jeopardy.
So to Edo it was. If he were fortunate, Kohaku's elder sister may be able to provide for them, albeit temporarily; she always seemed to have pups at her ankles. If not her, then perhaps Kaede or Kagome might be able to convince some other human woman to tolerate the twins. He could compensate them handsomely, if necessary, until the time came that they could return safely home with him to his Mother's Castle. It would hardly take a week for preparations to be made once he located her.
In his arm, Setsuna whimpered. Towa, the calmer of the two, reached out beyond her blanket to butt her tiny fist up against her sister's cheek, soothing her for the moment. Even in sleep, they were always reaching out for one another.
Sesshoumaru watched and said nothing, because there was nothing to say. Their mother might've cooed to see such a sight, might've teared up and hugged them close, but that didn't matter, because she was dead. She was dead and there was no bringing her back.
Edo arrived over the crest of the forest and Sesshomaru did not dip lower as he might've in the past, because despite this village's tolerance for demonkind, he would not risk putting his children within spearing range. He had done nothing to earn their loyalty and did not desire it; they only suffered him because they suffered InuYasha, and beyond that, their demon slayers and spiritual guides were notably biased in their work. It was a weak truce in the most generous of terms. At worst, it was a disaster waiting to happen.
Sesshomaru did not descend until he saw a familiar woman in white and red at the river's edge, and the thought came upon him that approaching the demon slayer might be done more efficiently if her dearest friend were at his side. His acquaintanceship with Sango was not tenuous, but what he was asking was not a small task. If she could provide, it was an intimate thing to feed a demon's child at her breast, if not outright scandalous. She was a slayer of their kind and her husband was a monk, however delinquent he might be. For her to feed a hanyo, to portion what would be her own child's sustenance to the both of them...
He would not blame her if she refused him outright.
But if she couldn't provide in the first place, Kagome would know, and he could avoid the whole awkward conversation altogether. There was no guarantee she'd had another childā he was merely taking the chance that she had.
So Sesshomaru landed behind his sister-in-law with no hesitation, touching down in complete silence on the well-trodden path between the river and her village. If it wasn't his yoki that alerted her to his presence, it was Jaken, who jumped free from his pelt and immediately began his hasty 'check' of their surroundings, flailing the Nintojo around like a fool and making no effort towards being inconspicuous.
Kagome turned from her chores - laundry, he gathered, by the sight of InuYasha's haori in her basket - and smiled at him, standing up and brushing the dirt off her clothes.
"Big brother!" she greeted, and his frown was immediate. That she laughed told him well enough she'd done it on purpose.Ā
"Kagome."
His response was flat, as always. Setsuna and Towa wriggled slightly in his hold, awake now, but they were kept out of sight by the mass of fur held around them. Thankfully, instinct kept them quiet around new voices and scents. But it wasn't meant to lastā Setsuna was already wanting to fuss, kicking at her blanket, pressing her heels into the polished plating of his armor. She was hungry. It had been almost a full day since her mother had passed.
"Is everything all right? InuYashaās back at the house..."
Beckoned out of his thoughts by the miko's voice, Sesshomaru blinked.
"I have a question."
Kagome's eyes were on his pelt, prying with curiosity. Even if she could see the twins, it was clear he was holding something out of sight. She waited.Ā
Sesshomaru, much to his own personal horror, eventually spoke.
"Is the demon slayer capable of nursing?"
If he cared to, he could likely pinpoint the exact moment that Kagome's brain stopped functioning.
"Iāuhm, nursing? You mean Sango? You want to know if Sango is..." she babbled, a sharp blush of embarrassment flushing her cheeks, "Nursing nursing, right? Er, no, Hisui is tooā I meanā Ugh. Why do you want to know that, Sesshomaru?"Ā
"It would be rude to ask her directly."
The looks she was giving him was, at best, exasperated.
"So you're asking me?"
"You are her friend?ā
"Yes.ā
"So you would know."
"...Okay."
Kagome sighed, seeming to accept this explanation even as she scratched her head. He would never understand why she and her kind seemed so baffled by the simplest of questions.
"But why, though?" she wanted to know.
That, unfortunately, was an understandable inquiry. Heād known going into this that introducing the girls to his extended family would be unavoidable, but he wasnāt quite in the mood to hear InuYashaās opinions on their blood. Not that he wouldnāt be deserving of his half-brotherās ireā he was well aware of his own hypocrisy. He simply didnāt want to hear it today.
āI require a human wet-nurse,ā was Sesshomaruās only explanation before he turned and opened his arm for her to see the twins.
Kagome gasped and her hands flew to her mouth.
Setsuna, sensing sheād been exposed to the world, took that as indication that she was safe after all, and immediately began to cry. Towa whimpered only because her sister was upset, little fists twisting as she wriggled.Ā
Jaken, somewhere on the perimeter that heād taken the liberty to establish, squawked. Perhaps in the absence of a mother, heād felt the need to take over the role of the worrier. Sesshomaru had no appreciation for it, however, and ignored him completely.Ā
āOh, oh my,ā Kagome was walking into his personal space with far more ease than he was comfortable with, but he let her, even when she was so close that her hair brushed against his clothes. āLook at them.ā
He said nothing as Kagome brushed her fingers over Towaās forehead, rustling her red-streaked bangs out of her eyes. The babe blinked up at her, wide eyes a little glassy as she sniffled. Her sister, however, was less calm; Setsuna nose twitched and then she was crying properly, wrenching her arm free of her swaddle and reaching out to Kagome with a tiny fist. Sesshomaruās brow furrowed.
āYou need a human wet-nurse?ā He could tell she was being cautious, and he understood why even if it was unnecessary. He posed no danger to her. āAre theyā¦?ā
āYes.ā
āDid something happen?ā she asked further, letting Setsuna take her finger in hand. Sesshomaru almost stopped her, because even a hanyo infant could snap her finger in half if she desired, but Setsunaās grip was hardly crushing.Ā
āDead,ā was all the information Sesshomaru offered, because it was all that mattered.
āIām so sorry.ā At her condolences, he merely nodded. āMay I?ā
He nodded again and Kagome lifted Setsuna out of the crook of his arm, stepping back and putting a little space between them again. His daughter didnāt calm, but she did immediately nuzzle into her breast, seeking sustenance.Ā
āI can compensate any woman in this villageā Miko, I am speaking to you.ā
Kagome apparently didnāt care. She was walking away from him with his youngest daughter in her arms, passing underneath the shade of a tall tree and sitting at its trunk.Ā
āYou donāt need to compensate anyone, Sesshomaru,ā she said, settling back against the bark. Setsuna whined as Kagome rest her against her knees and put her finger in her mouth, letting her suckle for a moment as she, inexplicably, began to push her kimono off her shoulder. āWeāre family.ā
Now it was Sesshomaruās turn to have a non-functioning brain. Speechless, he watched as his sister-in-law cradled his child and held her to her bare breast.Ā

Heād been too distracted to notice. No wonder Setsuna had reached for her.
Kagome, a woman heād tried to murder on multiple occasions and once regarded as nothing more than the dirt beneath his feet, held his child to her breast and fed her freely, asking for nothing in return.

It turned out that she and InuYasha had welcomed a child into the world perhaps half a year before he had welcomed the twins. Moroha, whose very existence spat in the face of logic and genetics, had very recently been weanedā so recently, in fact, that Kagome had yet to stop producing milk. According to her, she didnāt have much left to give, but that would change if she kept feeding the girls; a womanās body would provide if asked, he presumed. He supposed it made sense.
So she fed Setsuna from one breast and then traded him for Towa and fed her at the other, relaxing under the shade of the tree as he sat stiffly at her side. It felt strange to be so close to his half-brotherās wife, but these were his children and he would leave none of them at a disadvantage in this violent world. The miko was capable, but he doubted she would be of much use if caught off guard in the middle of a task such as this.
āSesshomaru?ā
In his lap, Setsuna cooed happily, finally mollified. It hadnāt been enough to fully satisfy her, he knew, but she would be fine for now. Jaken was standing ahead at the river path that led towards the village, frightening off any villager unfortunate enough to walk by them.
He turned his head towards Kagome, giving her his attention. Towaās silver hair nuzzled her breast as she rubbed her hand up and down the infantās back, soothing her as she ate. Setsuna, for her part, played with his fingers, her arms freed from her blankets as she tugged at his claws.Ā
If nothing else, he was glad the children were provided for today. Tomorrow would come when it did.
āYou know weāre here to help, right?ā
āYou are helping,ā he responded flatly. Kagome gave him that exasperated look again, as if heād said something lame. He hadnāt, of course; it wasnāt his fault that she tried to find nuance where there was none.
āI mean always. I know you and InuYasha areā¦ā she seemed to be searching for a word that wasnāt unkind, but instead settled for repeated emphasis, āYou and InuYasha. But that doesnāt matter to any of the girls. Or to me. If you need us to watch them for a whileā¦ā
āAre you offering yourself to me?ā
An unfortunate turn of phrase, for sure, but it expressed his meaning well enough. Kagome gave him a flat look in response.
āWhy do you have to make everything so weird?ā
Were she anyone else, he wouldāve taken offense.Ā
āI do not.ā
She sighed and shook her head, laughing a little as she readjusted Towa in her arm. Setsuna started gumming his knuckles.Ā
āIām saying if you need to leave them here for a while, or if you need me to feed them, thatās fine,ā she explained. āWeāre family.ā
āHn.ā
It was a strange thing to consider. This world was no kinder to demons than it had been when InuYasha had been this small, but the humans that he surrounded himself with now seemed determined to defy the status quo. Were Izayoi to have perished when he was a babe, InuYasha wouldāve quickly followed from starvation; no woman wouldāve fed him so freely, so charitably. And Sesshomaru would not have cared to force someone to, if heād ever bothered to know Izayoi had died in the first place.Ā
Yet now the wife of the man he wouldāve forsaken was feeding his motherless girls without so much as batting an eyelash. A priestess, at that.
Their peaceful reviere was broken, however, when Jaken squawked and began to curse, suddenly assaulted when he tried to hurry someone along the path. There was a flash of red and Sesshomaru gazed up, impassive and bored, at the incredulous set of golden eyes staring down at the both.
āAnd what the fuck,ā over InuYashaās shoulders, a little black-haired girl smiled and bared her tiny, glistening fangs, āis going on here?ā
Kagome laughed.

Later, after all three girls had bedded down, sprawled out over each other in a tangle of tiny limbs and short hair, Sesshomaru walked out of InuYashaās hut and took a small reprieve underneath the night sky. Jaken was snoring at the door, giving him a few moments of personal silence. Kagome was with the children and InuYasha was out, having gone to do something at his wifeās request.Ā Sesshomaru didn't care to remember what it was.
He stared at the moon and wondered what he should do.
Heād intended to let the girlsā mother raise them. It was simply what was done when it came to demon fathers and human mothers. The children were left with their mother until they were old enough to join their father and enter the demon world, if they so desired. It was what his father had planned for InuYashaā but, of course, that plan had fallen apart with his death.Ā
After Izayoiās death, Sesshomaru himself had made sure her child hadnāt perished, but that had been a matter of claiming InuYashaās life as his own, not a charity or sentiment. It was merely the principle that the only one to kill InuYasha would be him. Not anyone or anything else.
Now he was caring for hanyo again, but this time they were his own. His children. There was no misplaced bloodlust about wanting them to survive. They would survive, because they were his, and they were also hers.Ā
He did not know how much time had passed before InuYasha arrived.
āHanyo, huh?ā
Sesshomaruās mouth set in a thin line. InuYasha put two pails of water at the door, splashing Jaken slightly with the slosh; however, the toad wasnāt stirred from his slumber.Ā
āWhat are you going to do?ā
He told the truth, because there was nothing else to say.
āI do not know.ā
āKeh.ā
InuYasha drew up beside him, crossing his arms and shoving his hands in his sleeves.Ā
ā...We can take care of āem while you figure it out.ā
Sesshomaru blinked, turning his attention towards his younger half-brother without thinking very much about the action. InuYasha was looking away from him, staring into the darkness of the forest that the villagers called his own.Ā
āJust donāt fuckinā raise āem in the wild,ā he said gruffly, and Sesshomaru remembered him when he was small, covered in dirt and bruises and muck.
āThatās all you have to say?ā he wondered. InuYasha bristled.
āWhat? You want to fight? Wake āem up?ā
ā...No.ā
āExactly.ā
InuYasha sighed, shaking his head. Sesshomaru turned his eyes back towards the stars.

InuYashaās jaw, previously hanging lax at the revelation that Sesshomaru had once tried to save Izayoiās life, clicked shut. Grim, he nodded, understanding.
āIāll protect āem.ā
It wasnāt that Sesshomaru couldnāt. It was that he was trusting InuYasha to while he was away.
āThank you.ā
And it was the first time he had ever thanked his little brother for anything.
First of all I find it really interesting that Moroha knows about and recognize the smell of Sesshomaru eventhough she doesnt remember her own parents and she doesnt know about the twins. This is especially strange because according to Kaede they have last Ā seen Sesshomaru when he took away his newborn children and according some spoilers Moroha was raised for a while by Kaede. (or maybe they confused that with Setsuna)
So did Moroha met Sesshomaru later on? Did he not tell he rabout her parents? Wtf happened between them?
Second Sunrise wants us to believe that demon slayers who spent their whole life slaying and studying demons didnt notice that Setsuna was a half-demon? And Kohaku didnt even bother to tell them his relationship with Seshomaru? Heck he didnt even tell Setsuna about her own father??? Bruh
Third and the worst of them all. We suppose to believe that Sesshomaru who grow a weak spot for abandoned children (as part of his character development) would leave his own children alone and he would even let them kill eachother? Really? I would believe that Sesshomaru would warm up to hanyous and his brother first and then have children with a human but nope. It seems he still views hanyous as weaker and he needs to test them eventhough why would he even reproduce with a human if he still feels this way is beyond me.
And lets say Sesshomaru left his small children alone before they were even old enough to remember him or to form sentences because babies can clearly survive and prove their worth. :D Also hanyous would have harder time surviving the rite because they are weaker than demons and other demons pruporsely want to hunt them down so the whole rite is kinda unfair to them.
Also lets assume that Rin is the mother. Why would she agree with this when she was an orphan? She knew damn well how other people treat abandon children and probably from Inuyasha how hanyous are treated. But she would be ok to let her children suffer and even lose one or both of them. And please dont give me the but Rin trusted Sesshomaru that he would look after them when the whole point of the rite is to endanger them and even let the weaker one die. This would be especially funny because for years they probably assumed that Towa has died so Sesshomaruās word meant nothing and if Rin is alive she believed that she lost one of her daughter and for what? for nothing? or to their father to accept them? Eventhough he help to create them? And he should have taken responsibility for them the moment he realized that the mother was pregnant? Or Rin is so obsessed with Sesshomaru that she wouldnt care about her own children just to please him??? Is this really the Rin character we loved so much in the past?
Also Inuyasha would never let Sesshomaru to do this bs and get away with it.
Bytheway I cant wait for Sunrise to ruin Inu no Taisho too and rendering his whole speech about love and acceptence redundant. They are probably goint to show us that he made Sesshomaru to go through the same rite and that is why he turned out cold and uncaring and this is why he is doing the same thing to his children. Nice, cant wait for that. :/
Fourth why Setsuna is so dumb? She seriously didnt remember that she has a potion that could easily stop the root demon eventhough she went through demon slayer training?
Fifth Kaede doesnt know about what happened to Kagome, Inuyasha and the gang? Or with the root demon? Or with the twins mother? Or just Sunrise doesnt want to give us spoilers?
Sixth the Higurashi family didnt notice that Moroha behaves exactly like Inuyasha, like how come? Also why Sota wasnt excited about his own niece especially she is so like his childhood hero? He behaved almost emotionless or kinda bothered by herā¦
Seventh I am the only one who is confused by the time line?
The twins are 14 years old, right? 10 years ago they got separated. 14 years ago Sesshoumaru took away his children. That means the twins were four years old when they got separated. Towa said they lived in that forest for a long time, probably ever since they can remember. That means that Sesshoumaru might abandon them immediately when he took them away or at least when they were three years old because clearly three years olds can go through rites and survive of their ownā¦
Over 15 years ago Kagome came back and the well closed off. It seems after just a year later Moroha and the wins were born which means that Rin might have been a little bit too young to have chidren. And isnt Mirokuās son suppose to be around 20 years old? Ā I know that over 15 years doesnt mean exactly 15 years but I would assume that Kaede would say over 20 years if more time has passed. Idk for me it seems Sunrise just doesnt remember the time line that wellā¦
Bytheway how Sestuna knew about Kaede if she has never met her father??? Did she meet with Inuyasha who guided her there? Then why didnt he bothered with his own daughter? makes no senseā¦
And we have the preview of the fourth episode which seems to be worse than this one because we just cant let poor Kikyo rest anymore.
