shoutout to my dad who bought me the game.
uhhh this is a bit long but i need to talk abt it or i’ll go insane.
it’s a solid 8/10 game ✨
i’m high key addicted to lego games so naturally i had to get this one. the one thing i reallyyy don’t like abt the game is the dialogue and voice acting. like i get it’s made for kids but the dialogue could be a lot better. i also wish they chose a better batman voice bc it felt like the guy was forcing the grunt too much. his bruce voice was actually pretty good and they should’ve given batman a different va if they wanted to use the current one.
they did a good job with casting black VAs to play black characters but all the characters with accents were incorrectly casted imo. like it wa so obvious talia and mr. freeze’s VAs were takin their accent and it was borderline stereotypical. while matt berry did a decent job as bane, he should’ve been played by a south american actor. other than those instances, the voice acting was pretty solid (i reallyyy hated batman’s voice tho 🥀).
the other issue i had with the game is they completely changed dick grayson’s backstory. to start off small, they changed him to be a gothamite when he was supposed to be a traveling act and only did one tour in gotham. this may be a very small detail but it doesn’t make sense to change that.
instead of tony zucco interrupting the circus, they changed it to be two-face. i actually don’t mind this change and understand that they probably did it to tie more into the game’s story. this change is acceptable. the part i don’t like, is they did not kill off dick’s parents. his parents remain alive and literally kick dick out bc he made one small mistake. do supposedly loving parents dump their only kid to live with some billionaire they just met bc he accidentally made them fall once??? maybe they wanted to make his back story more kid friendly but bruce’s parents are shown to die. there’s also no more mention of dick’s parents afterwards so why were they kept alive?? i just think this was such a weird change to make.
the story is a bit short which is fine and overall i did like it. it does do a decent job at setting up batman’s story. i think young bruce is very cute. i do feel like the game requires prior knowledge of batman’s rogue gallery to fully understand bc it does rush through them. a minor annoyance i had with the rogues is they were inconsistent with where they end up once caught. like they chose to go with the insane version of penguin (who believes he’s actually a penguin instead of just a corrupt businessman) but they stuck him in black gate. however, crazy penguin gets to go to black gate but they stick characters like deathstroke black mask (who are not insane and have very sound minds) in arkham asylum?? like i get they needed rogues to distract batman while he’s in arkham but there’s so many other rogues they could’ve chosen for it. another annoyance i have is that batman refers to the rogues as their villain name when he’s supposed to use their real name bc he doesn’t want to dehumanize them. but then some rogues he does use their real name which i find to be a lil inconsistent.
ok enough abt the story. i really like that they used the arkham games fighting style. i thought it was fun and interesting. what i don’t like mechanics wise, is in co-op, player one is locked as batman which makes all the puzzles 10x more annoying to do bc u have to rely on player 2 to do everything. this is really annoying bc it basically forces player 2 to do all the work and there are some puzzles that require several different characters. i hate that they did this.
idk if this is a bug or smth but the driving is a little fucked up. like the vehicles refuse to stay still and it makes mechanics like the weapons and wench really difficult. like i will not be touching any of the controls, but the vehicles will be driving all over the place. navigating is kinda difficult bc the city has a lot of right turns that are hard to do when the car is self driving into a wall. other than these frustrating aspects, the driving mechanics are really fun when they work right.
i did enjoy the game a lot and i do think it’s worth the price. i also want the villain dlc but its lowkey expensive and im broke. its a really fun game but some of the aspects are just frustrating. anyway i’ve yapped enough but maybe I’ll say more later.

Last year I started designing a series of Coat of Arms, themed in the spirit of Pride Month and using different mythological creatures as heraldic animals. I now aim to turn these designs into wearable pins and will be running a Kickstarter in July to fund this endeavor! I have found a very trustworthy local manufacturer, who has already shown the quality of their craftsmanship with the first batch of test pins I received, just look at the detail they were able to produce!
Since I try to support local manufacturers, which produce pins with fair wages and are more ethical than outside of Europe, the pins are more expensive to create than through the usual pipeline via Asia.
I therefore seek to crowdfund the expenses since they would be more than I can afford. walter is an earth pony whose original cutie mark was a boiler flask. after his first cook with jesse, the blue meth appeared which confused him bc this was pre-blue meth creation. he just assumed it was a generic crystal and that’s what he told skylar. after his conversation with jane’s dad, the smoke appeared cussing further confusion. the very next day, the plane crashed. in my universe, jesse is a blank flank and gets his cutie mark later so he was extra confused when walt’s changed. full cutie mark design is on my profile
