Story: solek ex come back to the clan and you feel so jealous when you see them talking especially after learning that she was his ex
You noticed her before anyone said her name.
Not because she tried to hide—no, she didn’t. She moved through the clan like she had never left, like the ground still belonged beneath her feet, like every path still remembered her steps.
But what caught you—
Was him.
Solek didn’t react the way others did. There was no visible surprise, no greeting filled with warmth, no shift that others might notice.
Only a pause.
A small one.
So small no one else would have seen it.
But you did.
Because you always watched him.
“…You know her,” you said quietly later, your voice low as you stood beside him, eyes still following the woman in the distance.
Solek didn’t look where you were looking.
“Yes.”
That was all.
Your fingers curled slightly at your side. “That is all you will say?”
A beat.
Then—
“She was with me.”
The words landed heavier than they should have.
“With you,” you repeated slowly. “What does that mean?”
He finally turned his head toward you then, his gaze steady, unflinching.
“We were together.”
Your chest tightened.
“How long?”
“Some time.”
That told you nothing.
And somehow—everything.
---
After that, you began to notice it more.
The way she approached him without hesitation.
The way she stood too close when they spoke, as if distance had never been taught to her.
The way Solek didn’t step back.
That was what stayed with you.
Not that he welcomed her.
But that he didn’t refuse her.
You watched them one afternoon, hidden just enough behind a woven structure, your breath quieter than usual, your body still.
“You still hold your bow too tight,” she said, a faint smile in her voice.
Solek didn’t look at her. “And you still speak too much.”
She laughed softly.
It wasn’t forced.
It wasn’t new.
It sounded like something practiced.
Something remembered.
“You did not mind it before.”
A pause.
“No,” he admitted.
Your stomach twisted.
They stood there like that—too easy, too familiar. Like time had bent around them instead of breaking between them.
And when their eyes met—
You looked away first.
---
That night, sleep refused to come.
Every time you closed your eyes, you saw it again.
Her standing close.
Him not moving away.
The quiet understanding in the way they spoke.
It burned in a way you couldn’t explain.
Not loud.
Not explosive.
Just constant.
Like something eating through you slowly.
When you finally shifted, sitting up with a frustrated breath, you didn’t expect him to already be awake.
Solek sat nearby, his back against the wall, watching you.
“You are restless,” he said.
You let out a dry laugh. “You notice that.”
“I always do.”
That only made it worse.
“Then notice this,” you said, your voice sharper now as you turned toward him. “I do not like her.”
Silence.
“I did not ask you to.”
“No,” you snapped. “You did not ask anything.”
His gaze narrowed slightly—not in anger, but in focus.
“Speak clearly.”
You stood then, pacing once before stopping in front of him.
“The way she looks at you,” you said. “The way she stands close. The way you let her.”
“I do not ‘let’ anything.”
“You do,” you shot back. “You do nothing—and that is worse.”
That made him straighten slightly.
“Explain.”
Your hands clenched at your sides.
“If she were nothing,” you continued, your voice quieter now but more intense, “you would push her away.”
A pause.
“You would not stand there like she still belongs near you.”
Solek didn’t respond immediately.
And that silence—
That silence said too much.
“She does not,” he said finally.
“But she did.”
The words slipped out before you could stop them.
And once they did—
You couldn’t pull them back.
His gaze held yours.
“Yes.”
Your chest tightened again.
“Did you—” your voice faltered for a second before steadying, “—care for her?”
Another pause.
“I did.”
That felt like a blade.
Not because it surprised you.
But because it didn’t.
“And now?”
Solek stood then, closing the distance between you in a few slow steps.
“Now I am with you.”
“That is not what I asked.”
His jaw tightened slightly.
“No.”
“Then answer me.”
Silence stretched between you, thick, heavy.
Then—
“I do not feel for her what I feel for you.”
It wasn’t soft.
It wasn’t poetic.
It was honest.
Raw.
And real.
Your breath caught slightly.
“…She still looks at you like she remembers something,” you said more quietly now.
“She remembers what was,” he replied.
“And you?”
A beat.
Then he stepped closer—close enough that you felt the warmth of him, the steadiness, the grounding presence that had always been yours.
“I remember why it ended.”
That made you blink.
“You never told me.”
“You never asked.”
Your expression faltered slightly.
“…Then tell me.”
Solek’s gaze didn’t leave yours.
“We were not suited.”
“That is not a reason.”
“It is enough.”
“For you,” you said. “Not for me.”
A pause.
Then, quieter—
“She wanted something I do not give.”
Your brows knit slightly. “And what is that?”
He didn’t hesitate this time.
“Certainty without effort.”
You frowned. “I do not understand.”
“She expected me to choose her,” he explained, his voice low but steady. “Without earning it. Without building it.”
His hand lifted slightly, resting against your arm—not restraining, just there.
“You do not do that.”
Your chest tightened again—but differently this time.
“You fight me,” he continued. “You question me. You stay.”
A small silence followed.
Then—
“I chose you.”
The words settled deeper than anything else he had said.
“But she was first,” you whispered.
“No,” he corrected quietly.
“She was before.”
That difference—
It mattered.
More than you expected.
---
The next day, when she approached him again—
You didn’t hide.
You stood there.
Beside him.
Close enough that there was no space to misunderstand.
She noticed immediately.
Her gaze flicked between you both, something unreadable passing through her expression before she smiled faintly.

The resistance base was quieter than usual. Especially considering how quickly evening approached. Where there would often be lively groups of both na'vi and allied humans alike, there were now people dispersed among the place. Everyone seemed to move half their normal pace, wrapped in a blanket of tiredness. Though unusual, it was not unexpected following a few particularly long days of work. Tonight was the first night it felt safe to take a breather.
You sat out in the common area, lounging comfortably against one of the firm pillows. This is where you'd been for a while now, letting your tension from the day slowly unravel.
In your hands was a colorful, half-finished woven garment. What would soon be a gift for your lover. Working on it tonight was simply meant to act as a pastime. Something you could put your fingers to use with while you anticipated the arrival of the woman you waited for. Ri'nela. Any moment now, she would walk through that cave entrance and greet you with that bright, beautiful face.
Many of her recent days were spent off base, furthering her knowledge in preparation for what would be her role as the Sarentu's tsahìk. It was a hefty responsibility, and one she did not take lightly. So she studied everything she could. Under anyone willing to teach her.
Each night when she returned to you, when you found yourselves curled up together beneath Pandora's sky, you would hear of her endless tales. All she learned and who she learned from. Anufi of the Kame'tire, Etuwa of the Aranahe, and even the Zeswa's Minang all taught her as if she were their own tsakarem. You adored the way she got when she spoke of their lessons. Her words would arrive just a little faster, and her eyes would shine with admiration. It was clear this was the role she belonged in.
You didn't mind the time she spent away. As much as you wished you could spend every waking moment with her, there was an intense swell of pride every time you saw her succeed. And Eywa knew you were no stranger to your own trips away. It didn't matter how long you both spent out there. Because at the end of each day, you'd always end up safely back in each other's arms to whisper and kiss the night through.
The memories sat fondly in your chest as your eyes drifted back to the cloth in your hands. Once finished, it would be a colorful new waistcloth for Ri'nela. A courting gift was technically the correct term since you were courting the woman. But the word didn't seem nearly strong enough to describe the relationship between you. Two people with histories so deep and entwined as yours felt wrong to be reduced to something that seemed as simple as courtship. But until you officially sealed your bond, that would be the proper name to use.
You turned the word over in your mind again while your fingers absentmindedly worked on the little gift. It was vibrant against your blue skin, perfectly flattering to the color. As you sat there, you couldn't help but imagine how it would look on its recipient. Or even better, how she would look when you gave it to her. The way her lips would pull into a grin, and how her ears would press forward. It was too easy to picture it.
The visual was suddenly interrupted by the real Ri'nela striding into the open cave. She followed the routine almost exactly. First, her eyes scanned the wide room, her walk slowing just a touch. The moment she spotted you, that radiant smile parted her lips, and all her focus diverted entirely to you. It was as if no one else in that base mattered until she was back in your arms. A place you'd welcome her to as many times as she wanted.
You managed to slide the gift somewhere behind you before she noticed, just in time for her to reach and practically throw herself at you. It was a good thing this was not the first time she'd done this. You were already stretching your legs out and opening your arms to wrap her up in them as she slumped on top of you. Once there, her face buried into the curve of your neck, exhaling deeply as if this were the first break she'd had all day.
"I would ask how your day went, but it seems I have the answer." You told her gently, hands instinctively trailing up her clothed back. She snorted softly, no more than a breathy sound against your skin.
"It was very long," She admitted as her arms slid tightly around your torso. You returned the quiet laugh, letting your eyes drift across her slowly relaxing form. Only then did you spot the evidence that supported her statement.
It wasn't obvious, barely noticeable to anyone who didn't love her in the way you did. The way that meant you spotted every detail. Along her armor were little out-of-place things that suggested heavy use. Straps slowly coming undone, leaves tucked in places they shouldn't be. But the armor did not hold the spotlight here. That belonged solely to her hair.
What was normally an array of intricate and neatly tied braids, always topped with bright beads and feathers, was now only a shape that resembled the memory of it. It looked completely disheveled, hair escaping from places far from where it was meant to. Even the decorations were all but falling out.
"What on Pandora were you doing out there?" A laugh hung in your voice as you asked, hands immediately moving to do what you could to fix her braids for her. But it was a fruitless effort. They were far beyond just a quick fix.
Ri'nela groaned quietly as she recalled the day's task. "Anufi required the resin from cloud pines. It seems it only likes to hide in difficult places to reach." She explained simply, each word muffled against the skin of your neck.
Try as you may, you couldn't stop the little laugh that escaped you at the words, picturing Ri'nela scaling those giant trees and earning such an appearance. "We will need to fix this," The words came out softer now. Meaningful, as a hand ran over her messy braids. It wasn't just an offer, but a request. One that asked your lover to let you take care of her.
Her arms tightened around your waist, somehow managing to nuzzle her face further into your neck. Another playful groan left her at the thought of getting up from such a comfortable position. "Allow me a few more moments." She mumbled, and you could feel the smile against your skin. She would not have to ask you more than once, as you were easily convinced to keep her in your arms for longer.
If you had let her, Ri'nela would have stayed there the rest of the night, sprawled out on top of you without a care in the world. Unfortunately for her, you were insistent on getting her clean and comfortable first. "Let me clean you up, yawne." You leaned close to one of her pointed ears to softly whisper the words. "Then I will hold you until you are sick of me."
The words must have had the intended effect on her. Taking one last deep inhale, she finally lifted her head away from your neck, only to hover mere inches from your face. Before she could say anything else, you placed a lingering kiss on her forehead. Eywa, that did something to her.
"I will never be sick of you," She warned in the same soft tone, ears drooping just barely at the sheer adoration in your kiss. Even in an act so simple as pressing your lips to her skin, the weight of it felt more meaningful than either of you knew to address. Unable to help it, Ri'nela's lips pulled into the softest smile you'd ever seen. The sight of it alone brought on a particularly strong temptation to stand her up and beg her to permanently take her as yours.
"Then I will hold you forever," You hummed, nuzzling your nose softly against hers. Quickly, as if she thought you wouldn't notice, she started to settle back into you, face aiming for that spot by your neck again. She was quick, but not quick enough. Just before she was buried there, you set a hand on either side of her head to gently lift her gaze back to you.
"We are still bathing you first." Your words earned a knowing swish of her tail. Although no further protest followed. Instead, she simply smiled again and allowed you to slowly sit up, wrapping a strong pair of hands around her forearms to return her to her feet.
"You are very insistent." She replied finally as one of your hands slid downward to encompass hers. Her eyes were glued to yours as you lifted your joined hands and pressed yet another slow kiss to her skin.
"Is it so terrible for a woman to want her lover taken care of?" You questioned with a hint of triumph in your voice. She already knew the answer. No, of course it wasn't terrible. In fact, just the thought alone of your attention to detail, diligent enough to notice even down to the state of her braids, made Ri'nela's heart twist in ways she wasn't prepared for. That knowing smile on your lips didn't help either.
"No, it is not." She answered, after enough seconds had passed that you started to consider whether or not she actually had to think about it. In any case, you were thoroughly pleased with the words, that smile splitting into a grin as you squeezed her hand. Without further comment, you started deeper into the resistance base with Ri'nela in tow.
You took her directly to the extra storage unit, which had been set up near the Sarentu sleeping area. After it was built, it sat empty for some time, since there weren't many belongings among the small group of young adults. But slowly, as collections were formed and the need for space grew, little things were stashed here and there. An extra hat you'd dug up from an RDA site for Teylan, in case the day ever came that his was misplaced. A couple of your first attempts at building your own weapons, which would probably never see the light of day. There were even a few old toys that were either recovered or remade from your childhood. Today, as you approached the small room, you searched for a particular item. A gift you'd made for Ri'nela.
A few weeks ago, during a friendly visit with the Aranahe, Etuwa had been walking Ri'nela through the basics of her herbs. More specifically, the ones she used on a daily basis. You just so happened to tag along with her that day, which is how you took notice of her fondness for a certain blend. The mix of herbs and flowers was meant for use as a cleanser.
It was pleasant, you had to admit. The consistency was soft on the skin and hair. The mixture created a floral scent when activated, completely calming to the senses. It didn't surprise you in the slightest when Ri'nela mentioned how she liked it.
So you did the only logical thing and sought out the Aranahe tsahìk. Etuwa showed you how to blend it properly, and you listened intently until you were sure you could recreate the stuff in your sleep.
That is what led you here now, opening up baskets to find the bundle you'd made for her. Ri'nela watched you affectionately, those soft, round eyes following your movements.
"Ah, here it is." You mumbled as your hands closed around the carefully wrapped package. "I was saving this for a special occasion," The words subtly trailed off at the end. What occasion you were actually saving it for, you weren't sure. But gifts under these circumstances felt important.
You could consider this another courting gift, same as the unfinished garment. It would explain why you felt its significance. Even if it was only a bundle of flowers.
Gently, you held a hand out to Ri'nela, taking her palm and flipping it to place the small pack there. As it settled, she carefully lifted one side of the wrapping to see inside, quickly recognizing its contents.
"Oh, yawne," She spoke softly, resealing the leaves and lifting her eyes to yours. There was so much warmth there, it made your heart tap lightly against your ribs. "You remembered these." The words weren't a question, but an observation. That you took the time to notice something so small as her mentioning she enjoyed a certain herbal blend. But it didn't feel small to you in the slightest.
"Of course I did, Nela." You replied as if it were a simple fact. Of course you wouldn't miss something like that. Not when it came to her.
She laughed softly, more in affection than amusement, gazing at the small bundle before meeting your eyes again. It was clear in her expression that she felt this just as much as you did. Because it wasn't just a courting gift. It meant something more. That she meant something more. How long you could continue calling this simple courtship, you weren't sure.
Pack in hand, you took Ri'nela's arm again, trying and failing to shake off your previous thoughts. Together, you left. the resistance base, which was finally starting to perk up as evening set in. The air felt so natural between you. Weaving through trees and climbing terrain while laughter filled the space, directed at nothing in particular.
"We are almost there, ma yawntu." You announced as you approached your destination. It was a small cave just south of the base. Inside was a rather large pool of water for the available space, perfect for situations like this one. You had been there once before with Ri'nela, but it was many weeks ago. Both of you were due for another visit.
As you stepped down into the secluded cave, your lover's gaze settled fondly over her surroundings. On one end sat the smallest waterfall, calmly keeping the water below flowing. Several feet below its surface grew an array of underwater vegetation, shining in dim but colorful hues of blues, purples, and pinks. It all glowed softly, reflecting on the rock with the ripples in the pool. The place was a special kind of beautiful.
You turned toward Ri'nela. While she looked absolutely taken by the scene, your eyes remained glued to her. The way she looked in the cave. Her tail swished slowly as she crouched down by the smooth rocky edge, testing the water with a scoop of her hand.
"It is warm, just as before." She observed with a fond smile, finally pulling you out of your trance. You had come here for a reason. Not just to stare at Ri'nela. A small huff of laughter passed your lips as you stepped beside her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Good. Then I will not have to drag you in." You teased with the flick of your tail as your fingers slowly traveled to her chin, tilting her head to look at you. All you saw in her gaze was warmth beyond what you expected. But a flicker of playfulness waited there among it.
"You forget our trip north. The Spires' rivers were not kind to you." Even as she spoke the words, reminding you of a time when you were the one to struggle with the cold, you leaned into her. "It is I who does not have to drag you in." You barely let the words leave her mouth before planting a firm kiss there, promptly ending the conversation. Your lips lingered, hopefully long enough for her to forget about your aversion to cold water entirely. But there was a certain smile on her face when you parted that proved she did not.
Before the teasing could continue, you turned and released her from your grip. In a few moments, you were seated on a smooth rock, patting its surface between your legs. "Come, let me undo your braids."
She didn't hesitate, crossing the small space and settling down in front of you. Here, she was at the perfect height to allow access to her entire head.
You began cautiously, treating her hair as the precious thing it was. "Do not harm my decorations." She told you, voice still carrying that teasing ring to it. The words came just as you delicately untangled one of the large pink feathers from her curls.
One amused laugh escaped you as you set the feather aside and leaned down to place a long kiss on her temple. One that made her giggle right alongside you. "I would never do such a thing." You assured with fake offense, placing one more peck for good measure.
She handed her trust over to you completely, relaxing further and further against you as her hair accessories were removed one by one. Then you moved on to the braids, undoing them in the exact order she does them herself. It was an extensive routine, one she had developed over many years. And it did not go unnoticed that you had it memorized.
"You are very good at this." She told you simply, leaning in as your fingers ran soothingly through her now untangled strands.
"I make sure to be," was your easy reply as the last of her hair fell in a mixture of both loose and tight waves. It gave away exactly what braids had been where. All that remained now was her kuru, which required more careful attention than the rest.
Ri'nela hummed in satisfaction at your statement, tilting her head up to glance at you once again. You leaned forward to make it easier. Eywa, how pretty she looked there. You loved her braids, of course. That is the hairstyle she preferred. But seeing her like this, hair flowing so casually around her shoulders, was something else entirely.
"You are staring," She observed quickly, lips tugging upward.
There was no excuse for it. Of course you were staring. “You are beautiful.” The statement somehow seemed too little for the way you felt about her there. Beautiful was not enough.
“Oh, yawne—” She started. Only for you to continue first.
"More than beautiful. You look..." What word could you even place there? Stunning? Captivating? "Happy." Maybe that wasn't the best choice, but it was certainly true. The way her curls fell around her face, framing every one of her features. It made her look softer to you. Like none of this world's troubles would ever reach her again.
"I am happy." She returned with a steady smile. One that you were quick to kiss again. She laughed into this one, hands lifting to hold your head there.
When you pulled away this time, it wasn’t without a flutter in your heart, Ri’nela’s fingers trailing down your cheeks as she released you. And it was safe to say you took a few extra seconds to recover before continuing your task.
Slowly, almost cautiously, you reached for her longest braid. The one carefully protecting her neural queue. "I am going to do your kuru now." You all but whispered, lips briefly pressing to the top of her head.
The woman nodded easily, zero hint of hesitation in the movement. She trusted you with her life. That much was clear in how easy it was for her to allow you to do something like this. Her kuru was the most vulnerable part of her. Just holding the braid, let alone undoing it to expose the skin beneath, was an act of utmost trust.
You held the thought close as you slowly unraveled the waves of hair. Not once, as you traveled up her back, did she flinch or hesitate or do anything but display how natural this was for her, handing something like this into your care.
Handling the sensitive queue pulled another thought to your mind. Much more of a selfish one. Your eyes flickered to the end of her kuru in just a split second, but it was quick enough to put the image in your head. The image of the bond you had yet to make with her.
Tsaheylu was sacred, never something to treat lightly. And you never had, but that did not stop you from craving it. That step you so desired to take. It would permanently entwine your very beings, souls, never to be separate again. Even if you knew it should have, that thought didn't scare you. And as desperately as you wished to indulge in it, you were patient. Far more than you give yourself credit for. You wanted the bond done properly, same as she did. Which, in that moment, meant you pushed the sudden feelings aside and finished your task.
Only when her kuru was fully unbraided did Ri'nela make any movement. Unhurried, she turned, placing her hands on your thighs for a brief moment. "Let us put your gift to use, hm?" She said casually as if this were a casual thing. Placing one more kiss on your lips, successfully distracting you from the rhythm of your heart, she picked up the little bundle and trailed toward the edge of the water.
You made your move to follow her, but halted abruptly as Ri'nela's hands reached behind her neck. In a practiced movement, the ties of her top came undone, the garment falling to the ground below. Next went her waistcloth, which pooled around her feet just as the top had.
As hard as you tried, you could do nothing to force away the heat that leapt to your cheeks. It was foolish of you, really. Nudity was perfectly normal among na'vi, and this wasn't even the first time you'd seen her. Maybe it was partially your time learning human customs to blame, but you were convinced it was simply because it was Ri'nela. It meant something different with her. Something far more intimate.
You watched her step into the water, herbs in hand as her body slowly disappeared beneath the surface. She took quick notice of your hesitation, smiling to herself in amusement, "I promise the water is not cold, yawne." She teased, sparing you from stating the real reason for your pause. It seemed to work, pulling you back to reality.
"I am trusting you." You recovered not-so-smoothly, trying to replicate her playful tone. Carefully, as if sensing the weight of this, you finally followed her, discarding your clothing somewhere near hers. You barely had time to step into the water, fully bare before your lover, before her hands found yours under the rippling surface.
Your gaze dropped to your joined hands as she lifted them above the surface, placing the herb mixture in your palm. A quick reminder of the task you had been so insistent on completing before this. Before finding yourself so pathetically flustered.
She turned her back toward you as you took the mixture, spreading it between your palms until it worked into a lather. The scent released from it was outright heavenly. It immediately loosened and hid any remnants of tension beneath your skin. You spread the mixture through her hair methodically, evenly covering every inch of her curls. The weight of the water stole those tight coils and replaced them with thick, damp waves that clung to her shoulders.
Your fingers massaged her scalp soothingly, earning a deeply pleased hum from her lips. Only once you were sure the soap had done its job, did you guide her head to the water. "Rinse." You instructed, perfectly content as you worked the herbs back out of her hair. When it was thoroughly rid of the cleanser, she stood tall again, her hair cascading straight behind her back.
"Feel better yet?" You inquired playfully, sliding your hands across her shoulders and down her arms. Without even letting her reply, your mouth found her skin again, placing the lightest kiss to the base of her neck. This had the intended effect. Immediately, her body leaned into you while her tail curled around your thigh. The feeling of it wrapped around your leg below the water made your heart jump.
"Much." She answered simply, aiming her gaze in your direction again. She made a move for your lips, but you stopped her before she could reach them.
"Let me braid your kuru first, Nela." You insisted, hovering a hand over the exposed skin to remind her just how vulnerable it was there. Even if there was nothing around to threaten it.
She agreed, but not without a halfhearted groan. One that communicated impatience, even if she knew you were right. The victory made your lips tug just slightly upward. With just as much care as you put into unbraiding it, you rewrapped the still-wet hair around her queue, ensuring with each twist that it was thoroughly protected.
The moment you tied off the finished braid, Ri'nela was spinning around to face you as if you had just freed her from a cage. Her hands were firmly placed on your forearms, acting as a support as she stepped closer. Only inches apart now.
There it was again. That foolish blush that so unwelcomely settled across your skin. You just couldn't help it. Not when she stood so close to you like this, body mostly hidden under the dark water. All that remained visible now were the tops of her breasts, framed perfectly by the mixture of her skin patterns and the tanhì surrounding them. Of course, when you paused, just as before, Ri'nela noticed, just as before.
"What is your hesitation?" She questioned as if it were as casual as the day's weather, and not her bare frame leaning so intimately close to yours.
Your ears flipped back slightly at the question, struggling for an answer. How unfair it seemed that she so easily had this effect on you. "I don't know, Nela. This feels... important." It wasn't the greatest response, and not much of an explanation. But it seemed your lover would disagree. Her gaze softened, one hand lifting to your cheek.
"There is nothing to be afraid of." Ri'nela assured, spoken so easily that it eased the tightness in your shoulders. She was right, of course. There was nothing to fear. Not with her. Not even with the sheer intensity of the devotion so clearly flowing between you.
So before either of you could breathe another word, you closed the remaining gap between you, practically launching yourself at her lips. They met in such a way that it felt as if all of Pandora stopped for you. So much more than just a kiss.
Her assurance had brought you back to your senses, your arms wrapping around her waist to pull her into you. The response was immediate. Ri'nela's hands slid up your abdomen, and then your chest. The motion was slow, patient in a way that made your whole body yearn for her. It was the kind of longing you only let exist quietly before. The kind you had never allowed yourself to dwell on for too long.
"Ri'nela," You mumbled against her lips, only causing her weight to sink further into you. She hummed very briefly in an attempt to reply, but it wasn't done with much effort. It seemed she was allowing in that longing just as you were.
Gently, you turned her around until her back brushed lightly against the edge of the pool. The rock's smooth surface was cool in contrast to the sudden heat beneath her skin. It caught her by surprise, making her back arch away from it and inadvertently pressing further into you instead.
The air felt charged between you. Like a flip had been switched. It was yearning, adoration, intense hunger, all coming to mix into one terrifyingly strong desire. The feeling of it was so new, but so right, it made your thoughts muddle together inside your head.
Your hands slid down her back, tracing the curve of her rear before planting themselves on her hips. There was a little too much enjoyment in how long you took to get there. Somehow without breaking the kiss, you lifted her from the water and set her gently on the rocky edge in front of you. Her tail swished once at the sudden movement, but there was no protest. As she settled on the ledge, her hands slid down your sides. Slowly enough that it sent a shiver right up your spine.
Her touch did things to you that you couldn't even begin to describe. It was love, plain and simple. You'd discovered that long ago. But this was of a different kind. This type of love, this desire to love her, was something that circled you back to the thoughts of that permanent bond. It quickly crawled to the forefront of your mind.
Head spinning, your lips parted from hers, only to reconnect immediately with the skin of her neck, just below her jaw. It drew a gasp out of her. One that made your tail lash out behind you. Suddenly, all you wanted was to hear that sound again.
Your mouth trailed across her skin in hungry movements, chasing the little noises she made. Just as you were sure Ri'nela's heart would give out, you landed on the flat surface just below her collarbone. The kiss there lingered far longer than you originally planned for it to.
Her hands traveled up your neck, nimble fingers stretching back to find your partially dry hair. All the while, your lips remained softly pressed to her skin.
But then her fingertips grazed the base of your kuru, and suddenly this was very real. Not just kisses. Not just the little displays of devotion you'd grown so used to providing her. This was something you had only spoken briefly about in the past.
It wasn't that you didn't want to finally take Ri'nela as yours. Entwine yourselves together in a way that could never be undone. Eywa knew you both wanted it desperately. Far more than you'd be keen on admitting.
But there was something that always stopped these moments from progressing beyond the steady kisses and lingering touches. Maybe it was worry. Worry over getting this right. After all the time spent in TAP, having to learn the customs of your own people far later in life, it felt as if there would always be this twinge of anxiety over ruining this. Tainting it with the sky people.
Your lips parted from her skin just enough to lift your eyes to Ri'nela's. She seemed to sense your hesitation, just as she always did. But as you searched her gaze, all you found was a painful amount of patience and reassurance.
"Are we ready for this, Nela?" You asked, voice coming out far quieter than the steady tone you'd planned it to. Her entire expression softened at the question.
She lifted her hands, one after the other, and placed them both against either side of your face. The touch was so soft, so affectionate, it caught you completely off guard. "What do you fear?" A gentle question. There was no accusation in it, only understanding.
"I am afraid to ruin this. That we will do this wrong because our time among our own people is short compared to the sky people." The admission came with the pull of your brows together, which your lover was quick to smooth out with her thumb.
"Does this feel wrong?" Again, absolutely no accusation. She was so patient with you, it was unfair.
Your answer to the question popped into your mind immediately. No, nothing about this felt wrong. You loved her more than words could ever do justice, and so did she. Long ago, longer than you were willing to point out, a shift took place between you. As natural as gravity. It was the reason you never felt perfectly satisfied in saying you were simply courting Ri'nela.
This bond, both the physical and emotional, it had already been decided long ago. It only waited now for you to realize that.
"No," The answer came steadily. "This feels like it is meant to happen."
Ri'nela's lips parted into a smile at your words, tilting your head up to place a patient kiss on your forehead. "Then we are ready."
Those words spun around in your mind. She spoke them so surely, as if she always knew and only waited for you to catch up. And maybe that was the case. You felt the pull toward her long before this moment, and Ri'nela was certainly the better one at deciphering these things.
Finally making up your mind, you pulled yourself up out of the water beside the woman. Her words were a comfort far beyond what you were prepared for, settling your mind on this once and for all. Only Ri'nela could push those quiet fears away so quickly. She did it as if it were as easy for her as breathing.
You leaned down and scooped her up in your arms, damp hair draping over your bicep as you carried her. "I love you, ma yawne." You told her suddenly, softly kissing the side of her head.
She smiled, finally allowing her own pop of color to crawl to her cheeks. "I love you too." The words were so gentle, it made your heart spring to life again. Because she meant it. Not just to say it back, but because she truly understood that that is what she felt for you. That realization pulled warmly at your chest.
You set her down a few feet from the water, where the moss grew softest, and settled down in front of her. She was only there for a moment before your hands were on her again, one gently landing at her waist and the other cupping the side of her neck.
Ri'nela only had time to let out the softest laugh you'd ever heard before you kissed her again. Slow. Unhurried. You had all the time in the world to be there with her, and you intended to take it.
Once you parted again, it was only to study her gaze once again. It carried the same meaningful look you always found there. But there was something deeper, too. The importance of this moment felt intense, and she knew it just as much as you did. It was the breath held before the dive.
Ri'nela, being the first one to make the move, reached behind her head and pulled her freshly braided kuru over one shoulder. Then she reached forward to do the same for you. Your eyes followed her the whole way, drifting downward to observe the way both braids lay across your legs. Mere feet remained between them.
The image stirred something in your chest. Both neural queues, the links to your very souls, sat on the brink of connection. Once they did, it would bond you in a way you'd never understand until experiencing it.
"Are you certain?" Ri'nela asked you quietly. Patiently. You understood her meaning. She loved you so much that she would assure your comfort before anything else.
Were you certain of her? Yes. It wasn't even a question anymore. Certain about being ready for this? Once glance back up to the warmth in her expression was all the confirmation you needed.
Yes, you were certain of this.
You reached across the short distance and pulled her hands into yours. "I am certain." The reply came so steadily, so sure, it tugged at Ri'nela's heart in a way nothing had before.
To support your words, you were the one to move next. Your hands drifted down to your kuru, which still patiently waited for the decision that seemed years in the making. With one last glance at Ri'nela's face, as if confirming for the last time that you were ready, the queues met.
Tendrils danced, and then steadily, they locked together in an embrace that no less than shocked you. Every time you were sure you knew her. It was nothing compared to now. Suddenly, you could see all of her. Feel all of her. There were truly no words for it.
What made your heart dance the most was how natural this felt. It wasn't an invasion, but quite the opposite. It was as if she was always meant to be there. As if you were always meant to be one.
You heard the smallest gasp leave your lover, confirming she felt all of this, too. But then came the warmest little smile, and your heart twisted all over again.
Your lips parted to speak, but closed again. What words could even begin to fit something like this? So instead, you reached forward and wrapped both arms tightly around her. As you pulled her into your lap, she giggled as if she were a child again. Unapologetically happy. The sound put a brief wetness in your eyes that took you by surprise.
You tried burying the tears in her bare shoulder, but some part of you forgot about the bond you still shared. If you couldn't hide things from her before, you certainly couldn't now.
She lifted your head to see your face, the sight of it eliciting her own happy tears. "You are crying." She observed with a damp grin forming steadily.
All you could do was nod your head, a hand coming up to brush your thumb across her cheek, right under her permanent Sarentu mark. Maybe that was the reason for the tears. The realization that this bond was now just as permanent as the mark on her face. In the best way possible, that scared the life out of you.
"I am," The response was delayed, but it arrived with an airy laugh. One that made it that much more obvious the joy your body was riddled with.
Gently, your forehead came to rest against hers, simply allowing yourself to breathe the moment through you. This was all you could have asked for. "Oel Ngati Kameie, Ma Ri'nela." The words immediately made her heart lurch within her ribs, and a choked, happy sob escaped her.
“Oel Ngati Kameie.” She returned with that wide smile that seemed permanently stuck to her lips.
There was a short moment of just quiet, as reality washed over both of you. This was real. She was here with you, connected in a way you could never fully describe. Suddenly, every worry and every fear you'd ever had for this moment vanished without a trace. How foolish you were to think this could be anything other than perfect.
Your heart may have burst if you continued sitting there with those thoughts, so you silenced them. And in a way that bordered on desperate, your lips crashed into hers. It was sudden and without warning, but if it had caught her off guard, she did nothing to show it.
Ri'nela's hands slid quickly up into your hair, tugging you impossibly closer. Still, it didn't feel close enough. That feeling was something you were sure would never truly be satisfied.
As gently as you could, you shifted both of you until you could lay her body against the soft floor of the cave. All the while her lips remained firmly slotted against yours.
"Nela," You hummed against her mouth, finally allowing your touch to explore her. Your hands worked patiently across her skin, sliding down her sides, across her torso, everywhere you could reach.
Her body's response was immediate. A mixture of shivers beneath her skin and tension in her muscles that came with a new kind of warmth. It was hotter, far more intense. Desire was the right name for it.
Your lips parted from hers slowly, although they lingered a moment longer than you meant them to. The moment that contact was lost, you replaced it with a firm kiss on her cheek. Then another behind her jaw. Then the curve of her long neck. Everywhere your mouth touched, she felt another burst of warmth bloom.
You continued working your way downward. Across her collarbone and down her chest. Once you landed in the hollow between her breasts, you felt her tail slide across the ground beneath her.
Experimentally, you let your lips part and tongue press flat against the skin there. It was the right move. A sudden little sound passed Ri'nela's lips, falling somewhere between a gasp and a moan. The sound tilted your ears a degree.
Of course, you were only encouraged by this. So you continued the open-mouthed kisses across her chest. Starting at the swell of her breasts, you worked your way to her nipple, swirling around it gently. The way her head tilted back against the ground sent a new round of heat through your body.
Giving her all the time in the world to enjoy this, you patiently switched to her other breast, giving the same act of devotion there. It was clear what this was doing to the woman, her fingers tangling deeper into your hair.
You remained there for many moments. Only when you were sure you had given her chest the proper attention did you continue your trip down her body to settle yourself between her legs. Not once did your mouth leave her skin as kisses traveled agonizingly slow down her stomach and across her hips. That is, until you landed just above where she waited for you.
The sight of her, such an intimate place, made your entire body light up. She was soaked, her upper thighs stained with arousal. Once again, the weight of this found its way into your chest. Your Ri'nela. The woman you had loved fiercely long before you could even understand what love was. The woman you had craved for years, here, waiting for you to finally claim her as yours.
Your eyes flitted upward. One last glance at her expression. Despite the hunger and the intense heat that radiated between you, there was still such strong affection written on her face.
"Are you ready?" You asked her calmly, as if you weren't the one asking yourself the same question only minutes ago. Her head tilted just slightly in subtle amusement at that fact. But the expression gave way to something else. It was as if the side of her that tempted her desire had finally won out.
"Make me your mate, yawne." She spoke finally. The tone was lower, seductive beyond any right it had to be. It made your tail swish harshly, just once.
With the words in the forefront of your mind, your lips met her skin again, this time against one of her inner thighs. You sucked gently there, enough to leave behind a faint mark. Not that she'd mind having evidence of your touch on her skin. Another silent claim to add onto everything that had already occurred and all that had yet to.
Once you were satisfied with the work there, you switched to her other thigh. But on the way, your lips just barely ghosted her folds. It was a light touch. Subtle. But more than enough to send a shudder through her.
That was exactly the intention you'd had, and so you couldn't help but let a smile interrupt the kisses on her thigh.
"You are teasing now," Ri'nela practically gasped out, eyes meeting hers once again. One look at the amusement in your gaze confirmed the words.
"There is a difference between teasing and savoring, Nela." You told her, finally parting from her skin.
The woman went to speak again, probably to tell you how unbearable either option felt to her then, but you cut her off almost instantly by finally giving her what both of you wanted. Your tongue slid through her folds, tasting her like you had been starved all your life. It certainly felt that way now.
The moment was absolutely divine. You took your sweet time to explore her. To learn what she enjoyed. All the while, the woman was quickly coming undone beneath you.
As your mouth slowly worked its way upward, finding her clit and sucking gently, a tangle of broken gasps passed her lips. The sounds made your stomach twist into knots.
Her hips rolled forward, chasing every ounce of pleasure you gave her. You were quick to make it easier for her. Carefully, your arms slid under her thighs to hook her legs over your shoulders. It tilted her hips for a slightly deeper angle, which only amplified the noises that continuously escaped her.
Thank Eywa, you had chosen such a secluded place.
"Ma yawne. I am close." She breathed out between gasps. You wanted to reply. To tell her you knew, and that you could feel all of it through your bond. But that would require unburying yourself from between her legs, which you were not yet willing to do.
As encouragement, and partially to make up for the lack of words, your tongue dragged back down to her entrance, causing a dual stimulation that very quickly brought her to the edge. You sensed it through Tsaheylu. So strong that you couldn't help but let your hips start the subtlest grind against the floor beneath you.
"Let go for me," You finally spoke, albeit incredibly muffled against her skin. But she heard it all the same.
Pleasure coursed through her intensely, transferred to you in a way that had you groaning against her. Your mouth slowed but didn't stop until she was safely guided back down to you. Only when you felt her relax did you pull away. But just far enough to press another firm kiss to her inner thigh.
All you could focus on was the bright smile on her face and the soft round of laughter as you crawled back up her body. Every inch of her was soft, practically glowing despite the dim. She was so beautiful, it physically pained you.
The very second you were level with her again, your lips were on hers. It was softer this time. Every ounce of your affection was poured into it. The feeling made Ri'nela hum softly against you.
Once you parted again, you studied her gaze. What you found in it was everything. The confirmation that this truly felt right.
"You have my heart." Your voice fell hushed as you spoke, reaching only her ears. With it came your hand hovering for a moment directly over where her heart sat fluttering beneath her ribs, before lifting to caress the side of her face. The gesture said everything words could not, and that alone broke Ri'nela's lips into a perfect grin.
Her hands began to wander, slowly, as if it were her turn to savor you. "And you have mine." She returned the endearment just as her palms slid down the muscle of your back. The touch made your entire body shiver subtly. Subtle, but not enough to pass her notice.
She flashed you a terrible smirk as her touch danced around your waist, dragging across your hips and inward.
"Ri'nela," You whispered her name softly. Her fingers continued without delay until they caressed the skin of your inner thigh in the exact way your mouth had done minutes ago. Your lips parted to speak. Perhaps it was to tell her she didn't need return the favor. But one swipe of her nimble finger through your dripping folds reminded you just how much of a lie that would be. On instinct alone, your hips rolled forward once. Desperately. Chasing her touch like it was your lifeline.
"Did you not think you would receive anything?" She questioned, seeming to anticipate where your mind was going. The words made you feel foolish for even thinking such a thing. They certainly shut you up.
But her question may not have been all to blame for that. Part of that credit belonged to her fingers, which so talentedly began to rub circles against your clit. Your head dropped immediately against her shoulder, trying and failing to muffle the moan that fell from your lips. The reaction only spurred her on, pace increasing just enough to have you rocking into her hand.
She suddenly dipped lower, fingers teasing your entrance now instead. "You will kill me, Ri'nela." You told her. The very purposeful teasing left you absolutely aching for her.
"You are dramatic." She returned with quiet laughter in her tone. Dramatic wouldn't have been how you described your current state.
She watched your mouth open for a response. Probably some witty comment. But she'd never get to hear it because at that very moment, two of those agile fingers slipped inside you and successfully ended the words on your tongue.
A gasp escaped you at the feeling. Your mouth quickly latched onto her shoulder, treating it as the only outlet for the pleasure she delivered between your legs. Her movement was so agonizingly slow. In and out. She absolutely did it on purpose, thoroughly enjoying how easy it was to drive you crazy.
As if she had finally decided it was enough, her fingers curled inside you and found that perfect spot to make your balance stutter. At the same time, her thumb dragged upward to give your clit much-needed attention. It started to send you the relief you so desperately sought.
But Ri'nela wasn't done teasing.
Before you even had time to protest, her hand withdrew from you, earning an immediate groan in frustration. She gave you the most horribly attractive laugh in response, clean hand coming up to your chest to ease you up from her.
"You are enjoying this far too much." You told her simply as her arms slid back around her. She turned both of you around until it was you face up against the mossy floor. Anticipation set in, starting up the steady drum of your heart.
"I think you are too." A simple response, and absolutely correct. Plus, it would be foolish to play it off as though you were not, considering she could still sense everything you felt. So you dropped the comment and instead reached up to cup the back of your neck, pulling her down into a starving kiss.
It lingered, refusing to break even as Ri'nela shifted her weight once more. She positioned herself skillfully over your legs, hips hovering inches from you. Only a second passed before you realized her intention, which sent you head spinning all over again. Your other hand joined the first at her neck.
All it took was the subtle rock of her hips for skin to meet skin. Your whole body shuddered at the feeling. Ri'nela's lips parted, gasping against your mouth. And Eywa, you had no idea how you'd ever survived without knowing this.
The kiss broke for a moment, allowing you just enough time to press one to her forehead. Then, carefully, as if cautious to approach something as sacred as this felt, she began a steady grind against your hips. It left both of you breathless.
Each thrust of her strong hips lit a fire between you, burning with the perfect mix of hunger and raw affection. It was almost overwhelming. And yet, you found yourself helplessly bucking upward to chase it. Because no matter how intense the feeling was, it still had you practically begging for more.
Your hands traveled across her hips, squeezing them firmly. Without warning, you shifted her angle to amplify the sensation beyond what either of you were prepared for. A symphony of gasps and sighs and moans left both of you. Instinctively, her forehead dropped to yours. An anchor to steady her as she continued chasing.
Ri'nela's movements began to stutter. Subtly at first, but slowly growing more prominent. It gave away just how close she was to that high you both needed. You were right there with her, holding her tightly as the coil built somewhere deep in your abdomen.
"Nela," You sighed out her name between thrusts. It only took a few more moments of her skin sliding over yours for both of you to topple over the edge in tandem. Muscles tensed and bodies trembled as the feeling struck you, several times as strong through tsaheylu. It left you clinging to your lover as if she were the only thing keeping you here on Pandora.
As you came back down, she slumped on top of you, body sprawled just as it had been earlier that night. How much had changed in just a few hours. You were quick to scoop her up in your arms, pressing a multitude of kisses across her forehead, against her cheek, anywhere your lips could find. All the while, her soft laughter filled the space between you.
Once you had finished this, Ri'nela propped herself up slightly to find your eyes for the hundredth time that night. She looked nothing short of captivating there. Her lean form so naturally lay out atop yours. Her flowing hair, now partially dry, fell across her back, some of it spilling to drape over your arms. And Eywa, her shining face. Messy and filled with color, but undeniably happy. When you stared at her, it was as if you were seeing every last drop of her adoration written in her features. It was impossible to look away.
You reached up to tuck a stray curl behind her ear, smiling like a fool at the woman. "I am yours, Ri'nela." The words were certain. Natural. As if they always belonged there. The expression on her face only confirmed that.
"You know," She started as she settled back down. Amusement twisted her expression. "I will need to gather things for Anufi more often if this is what comes of it."
A short breath of laughter shook your chest. "Nela, we do not need Anufi's tasks to do this." You assured her with one more lingering kiss against her lips. She couldn't help but smile against them, which seemed to be a recurring theme for the evening.
Then, gently, your hand returned to that spot above her heart, feeling the way it beat there. Maybe even a hair quicker now beneath your touch.
The gesture acted as another quiet reminder that she had yours.

you’re finally able to rest after a long day of helping the clans and the Resistance. it seemed like the day would never end; Priya needed spare parts from an abandoned RDA site, (which led you into an ambush of RDA) you had to intercept a supply convoy for the Aranahe, and even Teylan worked your last nerve. you just wanted a peaceful and relaxing night, away from everyone and away from responsibilities. a nice soak in the lake away from Hometree should do the trick.
by the time you arrive at lake the sun has set and the forest glows with such beauty that you’re still not used to. you take a deep sigh and begin to lay your weapons down before taking off your clothes. setting them down in a nice pile before stepping into the lake. the moment your body hits the water your shoulders immediately relax. you hum softly as you take in the sight around you, the trees move with the wind as if they’re one. the bioluminescent patterns sparkle everywhere and there’s a sense of comfort that hits your chest. as you relax you think about the day you had before your mind begins to drift towards him. so’lek. you haven’t seen nor heard from him all day. there’s a slight pang to your chest but there shouldn’t be. you know he’s busy, just like you but you still miss him dearly. you thought being mated would mean more time together, such a naïve thought. you sink deeper into the water to rid yourself of those negative thoughts. instead, your brain starts to shift to other thoughts about so’lek.
the way he carries himself, no matter how tired or angry he would never direct it toward you. his smile that was only reserved for you. that soft voice; a nice deep rumble but Eywa it always did something to you.
his back. oh Eywa his back.
his hands, harden through years of survival and fighting but the things he could do with them. a shiver ran down your spine just imagining it. without you noticing, your hands begin to run over your body. slowly rubbing your hands over your nipples feeling them harden. you slightly bite your bottom lip, imagining that your hands were his. suddenly there’s a sweet smell wafting in the air, oh Eywa you’re ovulating. a small whine leaves your lips, no matter how much you try to satisfy yourself it won’t be enough.
you need him.
luckily for you, someone has been watching the entire time.
you hear the snap of a twig your ears immediately picking up the sound. you whip your head around trying to find who or what made the noise. is it just a yerik? or even worse… a palulukan? rda? maybe a stray Aranahe making their way home. a soft chuckle breaks your line of thoughts and finally you see him. so’lek. your so’lek. you let out a soft laugh before calling out to him
“do you always sneak up on poor women like this?”
so’lek inches toward the lake before his eyes lock onto yours. “no, just my woman.” a soft scoff leaves your lips before your smile returns. slightly embarrassed you ignore his comment, not from the possessiveness dripping from his tone but from the fact that you’re dripping.
“will you join me?”
he does a quick sweep of the area, always checking for any threats. such a sweetheart you thought, he’s definitely getting it tonight. he slowly begins to undress himself, his vest being the first to go before he undoes his tewng. you close your eyes and take a deep breath to ground yourself. control it. you feel him before you see him. a warmth at your back. so’lek bends down to place his chin in the crook of your neck.
“hello, yawne.”
his voice vibrates against your back and you relax into his chest.
“hi, ma so’lek.”
his hands rub up and down against your arms allowing you to relax even more.
“i have missed you. you must have heard my thoughts, tìyawn.”
he places a soft kiss against the crown of your head.
“mm, that is one way to think of it. how was your day?”
you sigh, “i don’t even want to think about it. how was yours?”
he places another kiss this time on your temple. you crane your neck to look back at him. oh Eywa. you definitely took your time with him.
“long. very, very long. no matter, you are in my arms now.”
you turn around fully, wrapping your arms around his back giving him a much needed hug. he returns your embrace and wraps his arms around your waist. you look up at him and slightly tilt your head
“what did you mean by ‘that’s one way to put it’?”
his eyes slide to yours before a smile graces his lips
“i smelled you miles away, yawne.”
your eyes widen
“you did not! do not tease!”
you hit his chest lightly before he dips his head lower. you watch as his gaze flicks down to your lips before returning to your eyes. his eyebrow faintly raises and your lips part. your breathing starts to become labored and your hands slowly slide up and down his chest. his hands squeeze your waist drawing small circles.
“so’lek—“
“i know. let me help you.”
you nod your head softly and you bridge the remaining space between you two. his lips feel heavenly against yours. this. this is what you’ve been craving. your hands slide up his chest and rest behind his neck. brushing his kuru just a little. so’lek lets out a soft moan into your mouth and deepens the kiss. sliding his tongue into your mouth and bringing you even closer in his embrace. one hand traces the curve of your spine while the other softly strokes your thigh. you instantly arch against him and whine into the kiss. he pulls away and planting soft kisses along your neck, leaving slight nips along his way. he picks up your leg, wrapping it around his waist and you tilt your head back giving him more access to your neck. soft moans spill from you and you roll your hips against his. you feel his hips roll back into yours. your hands slide down to his back, feeling his muscles contract and your fingers dig, leaving slight indents. he lets out a throaty groan and picks you up. both of your legs wrap around his waist and his hands rest under your butt. his face dives into your breast and gently sucks on your nipple. your head falls back and you continue to rock your hips against his. you push against his shoulders to guide his head up to look at you. you bring him into a kiss but you pull away.
“are you okay, yawne? do you want to stop?”
“no ma tìyawn, let’s move out of the water, i can’t take anymore teasing.”
he lets out a chuckle before leaving the water and placing you down on a soft patch of moss. your tail curls around his calf and he lowers down closer to you. he brushes his hand along your cheek and you nuzzle into his palm. one of his hands slide down to your core softly tracing the outside of your lips.
“you smell amazing, yawntutsyìp. you are driving me insane.”
he dips his head back into your neck while you open your legs to allow him more room.
“ma s-so’lek enough teasing baby please.”
he places a searing kiss on your lips before he lines up his cock at your entrance.
“are you sure, yawntutsyìp? i do not think i’ve stretched yo—“
you growl at him but there’s no real bite behind it
“yes so’lek! i’m sure! please i’m serious i can’t wait any longer.”
he smiles and places a kiss on your forehead before pushing in. he’s immediately welcomed with a sense of warmth from you. he lets out a groan and pushes all the way in. your breath hitches and your back arches up into him. he starts with slow but deep thrusts and you feel like you’re in heaven. he hits all the right spots and you swear you begin to see stars behind your eyelids.
“fast—f-fuck! faster baby! please!”
he picks up his pace, the tip of his cock pressing into your cervix. your mouth flies open as loud moans break their way through. your hands leave scratches along his back and it only fuels his pleasure. his mouth is on yours in an instant the kiss is sloppy, tongues wrapping around each other. he lifts your hips to slide his hands underneath your lower back, increasing your pleasure, you wrap your legs around his waist. he flicks his eyes open and he sees your kuru off to the side
“y-yawne, i am close. i-i want make tsaheylu.”
you reach over to grab your kuru bringing it towards his and both of you are overwhelmed with immense pleasure. you can feel how tight you are wrapped around him along with the love his has for you. he feels your deep hunger for him and his hips reach a pace he didn’t know he could even do. his tail starts to lash against the ground pleasure wracking through his body.
“m-ma so’lek! j-just like that! just like that!“
he snakes a hand down to your clit rubbing tight circles around it. before you can say anything you come. a white hot feeling takes over you and you let out a loud moan that would steer away anything close by. your back arches up and shivers rack through you. so’lek comes right after you, slamming his hips into yours before he floods into you. his hips slowly rock into yours to drag out your climax before he lets out a low groan and places his forehead against yours. you both breathe heavily before you smile softly. gazing up at him you whisper
“nga yawne lu oer.”
he whispers back
“nga yawne lu oer.”
he slowly slips out not wanting to hurt you. he places soft kisses along your face before rolling you on-top of him to rest. he lets out a content sigh and you rest your head against his chest. you place a kiss over his heart before reaching up and placing one on his lips. you both smile at each other and you lay your head back onto his chest. you draw light shapes on his chest.
“so’lek?”
“yes, yawntu?”
there’s a brief pause before you begin,
“i’m ready to go again..”
he lets out an exasperated chuckle and looks down at you seeing that you’re already looking at him with that glint in your eye.

Itu is the kind of guy that would realize that he's in love with Tamtey when she's muddied, bloodied, bitten and scratched to hell and absolutely livid. Hel, he probably realizes it the moment he registers that she hurt him but he's so star struck that he doesn't feel the pain at fist.
Itu knows Tamtey is special to him, she was his first student he saw her go from a hesitant hunter to a confident ikran rider; she became his rescuer then the confidant of his grief after Zomei's death but he's so caught up with being a free spirit that he doesn't register that his feelings have evolved to more than those of a friend.
When the light bulb in his head finally turns on that those feelings aren't the kind you have towards a friend it's like his "uh oh" moment.
Just imagine Itu on his way to Hometree when he hears the sound of wildlife fighting, at first he doesn't pay much attention to it until he also hears what is clearly a na'vi hissing, growling and cursing alongside the sounds of Viperwolf's. When he decides to go check and gets close enough to investigate he sees to his surprise that it's Tamtey.
He sees her standing over a Winzaw an arrow struck through it's chest, a clean kill, but the sight that really makes him freeze is how angry she is. She looks like a Palulukan with the way she's bearing her teeth and growling, she's adamant on protecting her kill and any time one of the Viperwolf's gets to close or lunges at her she meet them with her bow and anytime she's able to aim and shoot she hits her target cleanly. Its long before the remaining beasts decide that the danger of the na'vi woman out weighs the benefit of the deer, which is also when Itu decides to get closer; he's met with an arrow through his thigh.
The look of utter fury on her face and the way her eyes seem to just glow with that same anger make him freeze. It's only when her anger turns to horror that he feels the pain blooming from his thigh, after they're sure he's not bleeding out Tamtey starts scolding him and he can't help but think how gorgeous she looks and that's when the realization happens that he wants to kiss her and that makes him pause and have his light bulb moment.
I just like to imagine that Itu is the kind of guy who loves to get a rise out of Tamtey, one because he loves to see her reactions, and two because it means he gets her attention and be the one to "soothe" her anger.
