@taylorswift, we will always have your back. You had my back last year when I reported my sexual assault to the police. The detective said to me, “Why did you wait so long to report this? It must not have been that bad.”

I was 14 when it happened.

Listening to your album made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Watching you go through the horrors of the court system made me KNOW that I wasn’t alone. 

Before all of this happened, I already had huge issues with PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder. I’ve struggled with suicide for about half my life. I know for a FACT that without your music there to help me heal, I would not have made it through 2018. 

Dear John, LWYMMD, Call It What You Want, I Did Something Bad, TIWWCHNT, Last Kiss... every single song on reputation and Speak Now felt like it was there for me for a reason. Every single song had it’s exact place in the healing I needed this year. And obviously, so many of your songs from ALL albums had their perfect place too.

Selfie Nights!!!

Hey @taylorswift, love of my life, queen of my heart. Each month @swiftiesofcolor puts on selfie nights for different marginalized groups so us members of the group(s) can have a night of positivity, visibility, and just general fun. I’m sure you know a little bit about it, but I just wanted to emphasize the monthly dates that each one takes place so that if you’re around on those evenings (starting at 8pm est) you can be on the lookout specifically for beautiful faces from disabled fans, fans of color, and lgbtq+ fans! I'm a musician. I've been working on my new album for four months. I've had the color scheme and visuals planned out for a little over six months.

I'm a HUGE taylor swift fan and am FREAKING out about all the photos she is posting. Reputation has been on repeat ever since it came out, and has literally saved me from killing myself after I reported my childhood rape and was laughed at by police. I am SO PSYCHED about having new material from her. I joked with my husband that people are going to think I copied her, because the color schemes are incredibly similar.

Well, last night, I start taking photos to use in promotional material for my album.

I do some quick edits on them, and then go to bed.

I wake up to the new photo Taylor posted and got REALLY confused because I thought it was the photo I had taken last night. I literally said, out loud, "Oh my god". For a second I thought I was still dreaming, but I blinked my eyes really hard a few times and put my glasses on and saw all of the ruffles. I laughed in disbelief at the crazy coincidence of it all. The first thing I did was text my husband “OMG nobody is going to believe me!!!!!!!!!”

This is George a few days before he left for Ireland, in August. We went out to get snow cones. Now, he will be back in less than one month. This is my favorite picture of him. I just think he's too cute. Do you know what he said to me today after he helped me feel better? "I'll always be here to throw you a life vest, or at least some floaties." I love you, George.

Today was my last day working at Cappy's. I won't miss the restaurant nearly as much as the people that I met inside of it. I've made so many wonderful friends and memories that I will never forget. Thank you all : )
