Dragonization of Pantala
fantasy novel about a village of humans living in a standard vaguely medieval fantasy setting who awake one day to find a massive hedge of thorns has sprung up overnight, which acts as a gateway to the fae realm. although they find this land to be treacherous and full of hostile inhabitants when they travel through, they must enter to bring back food and other necessities, as their own crops have begun failing and the local forest has been partially cut off by the hedge of thorns. a human who has grown up in the fae realm and learned all the tricks needed to survive there teaches them how to efficiently travel back and forth undetected, but they begin to suspect he has ulterior motives. this is billed as a retelling but doesn't mention any specific fairy tales or public domain stories and only if you've watched the right movies over and over as a child would you know that what it is retelling is 2006 dreamworks animated film over the hedge
What was Uncle Monty’s trip to Peru really about?
Uncle Monty: the man, the fool, the legend.
Readers know him as the best guardian the Baudelaires ever had: caring, respectful and an endless source of knowledge. The last few days he spent with the Baudelaires are probably the only moments of genuine happiness in the entire series.
He’s also remembered as a hapless buffoon, too gullible to recognize how suspicious Gustav’s disappearance and how threatening his new assistant really were. The first sacrifice in a long line of casualties Olaf and the Baudelaires leave in their tracks.
“So don’t look so worried, bambini. As you can see, your Uncle Monty has the situation in hand.” [The Reptile Room, Chapter Five]
But what if Monty were actually one of the most brillant masterminds of the series? Was the herpetologist, in contrast with Olaf’s machinations, running a conspiracy of his own?
Let’s try to establish a different scenario under the cut.

🦁💏😤POV Disney Prince Lion El'Johnson judges your ship.
43 people looked at Lion boy here and clicked immediatly what this pose was a reference to, so I was forced to color him in a 2D animation style, WHAT IS SOMEHOW HARDER THAN MY USUAL STYLE, but I think it looks great, so thank you!
Drawing short hair lion feels so weeeeeird—
We have Guilliman and Yvraine (based on idiotoftheeast 's masterpiece, but slightly diferent Because I cannot draw Yvraine as cute as he does), Celestine and her Grey Fox mommy, The Geriatric Skeleons, Ephrael and Kyganil, and Magnus The Red doing Nothing Wrong.
Also Now I remember WHY I don't draw these Men in armour.
As Always, these are a bunch of digital drawings done on Ibispaint, 4000x3000 The big One I had to cut, and The usual 2625x3500 the smaller Ones, and JoyToys are Always The best references. IF ONLY VULKAN WOULD GET ONE
Do you think Thrawn ever visited Luthen Rael’s art gallery?
i was gonna say thrawn would clock luthen's shit immediately but honestly i think luthen's gallery plays into thrawn's weakness (cool art) and eli wouldn't clock it either bc of the wlw on mlm violence happening w kleya:

It may be a mistake to jump into the World Cup History Drama, but I personally find it kind of wild that so many Argentina fans are so passionate about an archipelago that Argentina held for at most 15 years which ended nearly 200 years ago. Like do people realize how many borders and nations have changed since 1834, and what the world would be like if every country tried to press all the territorial claims that they’ve had over the past two centuries? Not to mention that the island’s population is and has been largely English for generations, do the Argentinians just want to imperializs the islands and forcibly remove them?? (I mean that was the military dictatorship’s plan in the 1980s, but I doubt many people would want to follow in their footsteps)
It’s just crazy that this is still coming up decades after the Falklands War, and so many Argentinans seem to be seriously treating the World Cup like their only chance at revenge for a failed imperialist expedition, it’s ridiculous 💀
