What’s the deal with AI hate? Am I missing something here about it?
Like to me it’s whatever because the government and big corporations are going to do whatever they damn well want so I’m a bit lost on why people get so heated over it.
I get the thing about people losing their jobs that makes sense to me on why people are upset but I see more people complaining about it that has nothing to do with it so can people give me their thoughts on this.

Okay, so a lot of my ideas are from different AUs or something like that, I just have a lot of them, but I’m going to start off with some the stuff related to Black Arms Shadow because we need a lot more of it in the Sonic Boom Universe!
First off, Shadow hates it when people touch his wings or tail. This is thanks to them repeatedly being pulled and even ripped off in the past. If someone touches them, Shadow will pull them away and shove whoever touched him. And even with permission, Shadow still freaks out because he can’t help but think that they’re going to do something bad.
I have this idea that Sonic or Sticks were helping him get branches and leaves out after a crash landing and Shadow nearly had an anxiety attack because he kept insisting he was fine and tried to just push his growing fear down, but they stopped when they realized Shadow wasn’t going to admit that he was panicking and ask them to stop.
He might eventually learn to relax while someone’s doing this, but until then, he’d rather be punched in the face than admit that he’s terrified of his wings or tail being ripped off again.
Ironically enough, he’s done that to himself. He wasn’t always able to retract his features, so he just ripped them right off.
Anyways, Shadow can mostly control when he shifts closer to Black Arms than Hedgehog, but it can also be a sort of defense mechanism when he’s under extreme stress. Sometimes, this backfires because he can’t curl up into a ball, so he has to improvise and wrap his wings around himself.
(A little bonus: Sonic once “knocked” on Shadow’s wings, just lightly tapping them, and asked if he could come in because he wanted to offer some food, and Shadow laughed a little. It was that genuine laugh that you hear from someone after they’ve cried.)
Also, his Black Arms half helps him digest raw meat, but he doesn’t. In fact, he hasn’t eaten in years.
There were times where trying to get food was just too risky, and Shadow could survive off the chaos energy inside himself just fine, so he gave up eaten long ago. Now he refuses to eat at all because he doesn’t know if he’s developed an eating disorder and will just throw it up or not.
Spoiler alert: He kinda did, but also didn’t?? It’s psychological. He could eat an entire elephant and be okay since the chaos energy helps make very quick work of the food, but he’s so worried about throwing up that if he ate anything, chances are he will throw up whatever he eats afterwards.
One last thing about his Black Arms half is that he has been developing telepathic abilities recently. The first time this surfaced was when he was cornered by [REDACTED] and screamed for them to stop. Everyone stood completely still, and it was only a bit later that Shadow realized his third eye was open. He did that. He commanded, he forced them to stop. He took over their minds and controlled them like they were nothing but toys.
Just like Black Doom did to him.
He was scared to do it again after that.
But that wasn’t all. He could hear people’s thoughts too. When people “yell” in their minds, he “overhears” them, but he has to focus if he wants to hear what someone’s thinking when they’re not “yelling”. He hasn’t tried practicing yet, he doesn’t want to. Shadow wants nothing to do with it.
Until he realized he could tell if someone’s lying.
That’s how Team Sonic convinced him to join. He listened closely to their minds when they were honest with him and found that they weren’t lying. So he gave them a chance.
Shadow might tell one of them about it. Maybe not his alien half, especially Sticks, but he might tell them he’s been developing these mind powers and ask if they could help him practice so he could control it better. So he wouldn’t be so scared of himself.
So that’s all the bad stuff related to Shadow’s Black Arms half! Want me to stop here or continue and talk about some of the good parts? Or we could talk about the Chaos Deprived AU? Honestly, this might be a little messy, so sorry if some doesn’t make sense. Let me know if you need clarification.

You have no idea how excited I am, Chaos Deprived was my first Sonic Boom AU and probably my first Sonic AU ever!
Let’s start off with a few headcanons so that you understand some of the backstory better.
We have a lot of freedom with chaos energy since it’s close to nonexistent in the Boom Universe, so I changed it up a little bit. First off; Items can become “infected”, so to speak, by chaos energy. The item would then be able to grant the holder/wearer an ability, which can range from something small to something very big, but it needs time to recharge afterwards or the chaos energy inside would be spent completely.
Secondly, chaos energy inside someone can’t be as easily “pulled” as chaos energy roaming around or inside an object. This is because the person is able to Will themselves not to let go, and if it’s strong enough, then it stays! Not to mention because of the pretty unpredictable nature of chaos energy, who knows if the person would be injured or even die from having their chaos energy removed? Also, this is a pretty rare thing and most likely to happen if someone lives in a place with more chaos energy than average.
Third, it can be passed down through bloodlines, but if there’s not enough outside energy to help support it, the chaos energy will slowly die out through the generations.
Alright, onto the backstory! Which you’ve probably seen in my other posts but I’m talking about it anyways!
So Chaos Deprived takes in the “Shadow Was Created By The Ancients” idea, just to keep in mind. With enough chaos energy to not only need four inhibitor rings on him at all times and still be able to use a lot of power to do different things, he was definitely considered the most chaotic being on the planet, and some believed possibly the universe!
I was thinking maybe he was created by Lyric in his pursuit to understand Chaos Energy, and his Black Arms half was actually extracted from an old skeleton that no one really knows how it got there, with just enough DNA left over that we now have Shadow! And maybe since he was created by Lyric and used as a lab experiment, the other Ancients deemed him too dangerous, but they couldn’t kill him, so they put him in suspended animation.
But something happened to the emeralds.
One day, they just… disappeared. And over the course of a few weeks, all outside chaos energy went with it.
Now these people were adapted and used to feeling outside chaos energy around them, and it’s always been there, since the very beginning of their history! Now that it’s gone, people started to really panic.
Many cities fell, the chaos energy died out through generations, and before Shadow knew it, everything was gone. He just woke up when the power to his tube thing ran out and looked around to see everything in ruins and the chaos energy gone. This really made him uncomfortable, and he had no clue just how long he’d been stuck in that tube for.
Not feeling outside chaos energy was like being deprived of something essential for him, and in a way, it was, hence the name “Chaos Deprived”!
Anyways, so this takes a toll on his mental health (what’s left of it anyways) through the many, many years, which to make a long story short, was hell for him.
Bygone Island was just another place Shadow visited. He was going to leave, but then a meteor crashed near the island. It wasn’t very big or disastrous, thank goodness, but it had a crystal infused with chaos energy.
Team Sonic got to it before he did, and in an attempt to be friends with him, they offered him the gem. This brought more relief and comfort to Shadow than they will ever know.
Alright, onto the next part! This involves less physical hurt and more emotional hurt!
Shadow has come to call these creatures with no chaos energy, anthropomorphic animal or human, “chaos barren”. Team Sonic are all chaos barren, and that actually worries Shadow because now that he’s thinking they could be friends, he worries that a creature with so much chaos energy like himself might make them sick.
This hits even harder when they’re injured because Shadow can heal people, but he obviously uses chaos energy and worries that it’ll make it worse since their bodies aren’t adapted to it. He hasn’t tried healing anyone who’s chaos barren before.
Another thing is that Shadow still has that problem with eating, and Amy is trying to get him to eat something when she notices that he never does. Some of the others try to help out, casually offering to share food, but Shadow always declines.
A third part is that Shadow becomes really attached to the gem because he’s sure it’s the only thing that’s keeping him from diving further into insanity. To the point where he puts himself in dangerous situations just to get it back. There is a happy ending to this whole thing, though, don’t worry.
Turns out the Master Emerald just felt like it needed to move because of all the conflict with the Ancients, so it did, and the chaos emeralds and energy they both created obviously followed. The group will get their chance at seeing them, and I like to think that spending so much time around Shadow actually made their bodies used to chaos energy, but they still shouldn’t get too close or something might happen.
And that’s pretty much all I’ve got so far!
I had other ideas that I’m not sure how to include, and I actually have a much more peaceful AU of this called “Mistaken Fae” where the emeralds were found, all the Ancients accidentally turned themselves into Chao when they got too close, and Shadow’s able to travel between the two worlds easily. Except he thinks they’re the same world.
And this scene from the older version of Chaos Deprived where Rouge and Omega were also Ancients and during an expedition, they were both found in suspended animation. Lots of crying and hugs that last minutes from Shadow.
It’d be extra good if Omega had turned on Shadow and hunted him down thanks to the government or Lyric reprogramming him and felt incredibly guilty, but Shadow never once blamed him for it and just hugged him.
Oh wow, i can totally imagine Shadow in his first night with the crystal, hugging it and silently shaking in relief with a giant mess of different feelings, finally being able to feel the warm, fuzzy and "shocking" sensation of Chaos Energy that doesn't come from himself.
It's so easy for me to see Shadow spending days like that whiteout ever noticing that has been days that he stayed catatonic hugging the crystal on the floor of a cave or a really heavy florest because he can finally get the comfort of the Chaos energy after all those year, decades, centuries, he lost count of the time a long ago. I can see him after those days, getting used to have this energy back, walking alone in circles while try to build back his broody made up personality and hide the little smile and all the relief on his face everytime he rub his fingers on the crystal.
Seeing Shadow slowly and awkwardly starting to help Team Sonic in a way to show his gratitude, helping fighting Eggman, listening to Tails rambling about his tech, helping Any with her studies on history with little tips of good places to research, just spending time with Sticks and actually listening to her theories, even making company to Knuckles while he workout.
Shadows presence and more calmer and kind personality actually becoming something the Team Sonic learned to love and appreciate while he tries to show his gratitude with small acts of support.
It's also pretty easy to see Shadow silently panicking inside while he start noticing that Chaos energy is starting to "enter" on the Teams bodies and "infect" them with, they start to sense different things, feeling headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, excessive sweating, slow breathing and increased drowsiness, and Shadow sees that this is his fault, see the signals and can't stop thinking that his friends are suffering because of him, he watches the house, takes care of everything and everyone while drow himself in the feeling of guilt, but he can't get out of their life's because stay away of the fount of Chaos energy now will make them start feeling abstinence and make them suffer more.
How even after they heal, he will still be full of shame and guilt because now he cursed them with the fate of sensing Chaos Energy and sense how empty the world is whiteout it...

I like the "Mistaken fae" gives a lot of platonic or romantic Shadamy energy, good one to explore their dynamics
I love that idea!! And maybe since Shadow’s the only one who can keep up with Sonic, they’d race together!
And yeah, Mistaken Fae is very peaceful, and the main reason Shadow acts so rude at first is because he’s worried about the Chao, who he takes care of in this AU.
They used to be the Ancients, but they got too close to the emeralds and their bodies aren’t adapted to handle THAT much chaos energy at once, so they got turned into Chao. The Chao love Shadow and like to follow him around, often sensing his chaos energy and just following the trail until they find him. They’re very affectionate, and Shadow has a big soft spot for them.
I like to think that once Shadow’s chaos energy started to rub off on Team Sonic, they finally notice things that weren’t there before, like hidden tunnels and the Chao.
Once they see Shadow taking care of them, they’d probably playfully tease him about how soft and sweet he is to them, and then offer to help every once in a while since there’s over a hundred of them and he doesn’t always get sleep thanks to nightmares.

Alright then! I only have a few more angsty ideas to share before the happy ones, aside from Part Chao!
I like the idea that Shadow’s blood is green, and this makes for a good “horrifying realization” scenario because Team Sonic once saw Shadow with green liquid on his arm and didn’t know what it was because Shadow was very adamant about handling it himself. Later on, during a fight, Shadow would get cut or stabbed and the team realizes that it was his blood. That it was always his blood. I’m actually working on a fic with this idea!
Shadow can regrow or reattach limbs, and heals injuries and bones at a very fast rate, so he tends to be a little neglectful of himself, saying “It’ll grow back” or “It’ll heal”. It’s true that this healing power of his is very impressive, being able to fix the bone overnight or regrow new limbs in just a couple weeks, but Team Sonic was still not budging about helping him recover when Sticks saw him trying to stand up with only one leg.
The next thing really hits the heart. Aliens.
I think it’d be interesting if Shadow one day just snapped at Sticks for her constant “aliens are coming to enslave us!” even though he knew she didn’t mean him and it was all just theories, but he just snapped suddenly and asked her why she doesn’t just attack him already, revealing that he was created, not born, and with DNA of an alien race called Black Arms.
I’d love for Sticks to be like “Yeah, this alien is chill” with Shadow, but the tension and angst between them if Shadow revealed it in a moment of frustration would make for a delicious meal!
And lastly, Shadow is scared of someone. As in terrified. He won’t say who, he just refers to it as “them”, and they’re supposedly responsible for his extreme fear of anything revolving around being subjected to medical practices. He’s had anxiety attacks because he thought that fireworks were gunshots, and that “they” were here to capture him. He’s also mentioned that “they” treated him as less than sentiment, like a weapon or a puppet.
He never says anything else, just that. Whoever “they” are, Team Sonic really wants a word with them, and even Eggman would be horrified if he heard the things Shadow says about them.
Id love for there to be a scene where they’re all about to face some big evil, but Sonic glances at Shadow and realizes he’s shaking and looks absolutely horrified.
And if we include the Biolizard, I’d say Shadow would freak out because he didn’t think it was still alive. He’ll still fight it and win, but he was sure he killed it last time they fought.
Oof, Shadow's self hate and impostor syndrome can't survive one year in good terms with Sticks constant fear of aliens invasions or governments theories. Team Sonic will have to give this boy a blanket and a big cup of Hot Cocoa and/or a bag full of Coffee beans and have a big talk about boundaries and how to speak when a friend makes you uncomfortable lol
I love the Green Blood hc, it leads to soo much funny/angst moments, blushing Shadow being confused with disgusted Shadow, the team giving Shadow "space" because he might not like being touched by them yet since last time Sonic and Amy hugged him his face turned green.
I imagine Shadow losing "small" limbs on fights, like his tail, half of his ear or even 3 or more fingers while helping someone to scape, the them panicking about it and Shadow being just "Why are you worrying about, it'll grown up in like, 2 days" but the team ignoring and don't letting Shadow out of sight till they feel like he's fine.
Oh, and the angst of seeing one of the strongest person you know, a Pilar of strength, someone you saw as almost invincible, trembling in front of a group of people that you know he could win with eyes closed and one hand tied on his back. The slow realization that those are the people who gave them the PTSD, the insane fear of medical care, all his trust issues and nightmares that made him gave up on his sleep till he finally get exhausted.

Once she’s sure that Shadow’s okay with it, you can’t tell me Sticks wouldn’t ask about his alien half. It’s actually through this that they learn his black and red coloring and abnormally sharp teeth are from his alien half, and he shows off his wings and makes his tail longer for them to see. He mentions having a third eye, but doesn’t really want it out because it brings bad memories.
They also learn about the benefits his alien half gives him; Better sense of sight, smell, hearing, and he’s able to digest raw meat. And if we include hedgehogs purring, then we say that Shadow’s purr is a lot deeper and might sound like a growl, so that’s another misunderstanding cleared up.
I bet that Tail would try to race Shadow in the air or that he reveals his wings because he quite literally flew in through the window because he was called after a member injured themselves and he’s actually one of the most knowledgeable in the medical field. Put him in a room of surgeons and he’ll understand everything. And probably blast a hole in the wall trying to get out, so not the best idea.
I think they’d help him eventually get over his fear of being like someone named “Black Doom”, who had a real knack for mind control and used it in the worst ways and help him control his own mind control powers that surface when he’s really stressed.
As for the green blushing thing, they’d probably ask occasionally “You’re not going to vomit, right?” because sometimes, they genuinely can’t tell and they want to know if they should grab a bucket.
For limb removal and other healing stuff, Shadow would learn to sit and let it happen.
And may or may not be smiling when no one’s looking because he feels so loved right now.
For the fourth thing, I think they’d try to fight for Shadow, but if they need help, he’ll push himself to help them out and one of them would compliment him because what he did was so great! They’re proud of him!
Next, I feel like Shadow is very touch starved, but is embarrassed to ask for affection, but Knuckles’ hugs are some of the best in his opinion. The big guy’s very strong, which means tight hugs, and Shadow really likes those when he’s overwhelmed or overstimulated. Knuckles is happy to have someone who can handle his hugs!
I think that the way he’d learn to ask for more would be “Is that the best you can do?”, and then have his soul crushed into his body. And if we include Sonadow, Shadamy, or we have them in a polyamorous relationship, Shadow’s definitely the one keeping them in bed an extra five minutes for more cuddles. He’s been sandwiched between them once and had the best nap in months.
Another Black Arms related thing is that Shadow would probably enjoy carrying people around in the air, and he uses his tail to grab things a lot more often. And yes, he’s slept upside down before. Yes, he’d do it again. And another thing—
Sonic: Cool red stripes, magic powers, monkey tail, and a pair of wings? Could he be any cooler?

😆 I love the idea that Boom Shadow is that one character who has the singing voice of an angel, but would rather be punched in the face than sing in front of anyone. He actually gets a little flustered over it and Sonic likes to playfully tease him about it like “But you’re so good!” and Shadow turns green and he’s like “Shut up!”.

It's also the only yuri to get greenlit for a second season in the past 5+ years.

Has anyone seen the behind the scenes footage of the Sonic Movie. I legitimately cannot take it seriously, it looks so fucking goofy. Like the used puppet statues and honestly I give props to the Actors for not losing their shit laughing.

Tomb Raider Danny
Danny is a Tomb Raider, One of his Ancestors was a Croft. Danny as a halfa can find extremely rare/lost historical artifacts and records. He gains fame as an Unparalleled Archaeologist, with multiple donations and discoveries to his name.
Now Danny doesn’t go by Fenton oh no, he goes by Croft. And just happens to have a Cousin by the name of Laura. They find out about each other when at Convention for lost civilizations in Gotham, because why not.
They end up teaming up to find proof of a civilization that worships Bats, used to Live in what is now known as Gotham City.

I get that people want more skintone representation but ultimately that isn’t up to the customer but the company management, and ‘skins’ are a thing. If it’s that seriously bugging you, ask them to make some skins for those characters.
Also where was this energy when Sumeru came out, why is Natlan getting blasted but Nobody raise a fuss when Sumeru dropped. Make it make sense.
Edit: Ok i was informed that people were upset about sumeru it just wasn’t as big at the time. Still don’t change the fact this is a Game people are getting pressed about
