no shade to the teens and early twenties bloggers but it’s hard finding people within my age group that are active and continue to contribute here in the community.
also idk if anyone else experiences this but sometimes it can be difficult relating to the younger population due to generational differences, pop culture, etc.

Simple ways to cheer up the people in this community!!!
If someone posts an ask game, send them a question or two from the list! (Especially if you reblog it from them!!!)
If someone posts a poll or otherwise asks for an opinion on something, make your opinion known! It only takes a few seconds!
If it’s someone’s birthday, wish them a happy birthday, even if you don’t really know them!
If someone makes a personal post about their day and you read it, click the like button! If they don’t receive any notes, they might think that no one saw their post, or (possibly worse) that everyone saw it and no one cared.
If you find a new blog to follow, send them a message saying how much you love their content!
Leave comments on posts, even if it’s just a heart emoji or something like “I love this post/story/sim”!
If you see someone answer a mean anon message, send a positive message to fight that negativity! Praise that simmer whose content and personality you love!
If someone doesn’t seem to feel well, ask them if they’re okay, or tell them that you wish they feel better soon!
These are really basic things that won’t take a lot of your time, but can mean so much to the other person. Of course you can’t do all of these for all the people all the time, but if you have some time to browse your dashboard and do these for even a few people, it still makes a huge difference!
This is everything. It isn’t always easy to put yourself out there even with something as simple as sending an ask or leaving a note, but it’s meaningful and always worth doing in my opinion. 💗✨

The internet could change next week, and not in a good way
You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression.
We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. There’s already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report.
The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered “fair use” under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We don’t believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.

TS4 Mod: No children/teens in clubs/lounges & Less elders in lounges
My lounge with the lone elder in it, kind of a refreshing change and no teens or children to be found.

I kept waiting and waiting for EA to do something about the children and teens in the clubs and lounges to no avail. I also got tired of the game generating hundreds of elders just because I sent my Sims to the only “nice” place they can go on a date. So, I made myself this mod awhile ago.
Mod Description: Bans children and teens from the clubs and lounges. Also decreases the percentage of elders in lounges which means less elders being spawned.
Conflicts: Tested with all my mods/CC installed and no conflicts. It may conflict with any mods that alters clubs and lounges.
Instructions: If you have Get Together, check the meeting location for the children’s clubs. Some of them are set to night clubs (SHEESH!!!) and you will need to change that if you don’t want them in your night clubs.
