Two of the biggest fumbles in my opinion is the potential of both byler and henderhop. Henderhop could've been SO GOOD but never got developed because of mileven (BIG MISTAKE). Both could have been such satisfying slow burn romance; and also could have had REAL representation! Instead of hetslop mileven and that off-screen Dustin and Suzie breakup that came out of no where and has no explaination.

The WHOLE volume 2 and finale were shitty but if I'm being so honest the epilouge being Mike's pov was HORRIBLE; They had said so many times it was a show made for outcasts. That the main message was NON-CONFORMITY.

...Only to turn their backs on their most passionate and dedicated fans by confirming they had set up one of THE MOST elaborate and drawn out queerbait EVER.

MOST of Mike's screen time has been queer-coding him, he still couldn't even say "I love you" to El at the end?

Mike is a stereotypical straight cis white male who has problems with his girlfriend for CANONICALLY NO REASON!!!!

The epilouge of Stranger Things is mostly his POV.

Mike's character arc makes zero sense.

They did not convey the message they were INSISTING on trying to convey.

I honestly have personal experience with hating someone after being in love with them; so I agree Vox is definitely not in love with Alastor anymore and that he loves Val now. (He is very much in denial about it but that's a whole other thing that I'm obviously not going to go into detail with).

Love and care for a person VERY much can turn into hate and be erased of that original love, the care part is still there but the nature is different because it's loathing and not love (not just romantically but in this situation yes). Hate always stems from caring, love does too, they are just different routes! Hate is often perceived to be the opposite of love but they are in fact very close if you think about it.
