I am currently on vacation so I can't really open my game but I'm always down to yap about my Sims!

So today I'll talk about one of my favourite premade: Jessica Peterson
I find that Jessica is a bit of a mystery. We know that she divorced Armand DeBateau, according to her bio because he was pressuring her to give him an heir. But her memory also show that she had an affair with a mysterious Sim. So which one is it? Could it be that she had to fake an affair to escape the super rich and powerful Armand? She even paid the price financially and with her reputation.
But what I find mostly intriguing is her life before meeting Armand. Without his money, she ends up in a mobile home, which makes me think that she became a gold digger to escape poverty. Worse than that, she has maxed her body skill, which is strange for someone her age. It could be that she always had to defend herself, and perhaps was even living in the streets at some point.
Then there is her refusal to have kids. Interestingly, Jessica has been taught all of her toddler skill by her father, so it seems that her mother took no part in her education. My interpretation is that Jessica, having been neglected (or even abandoned) by her mother, grew up in a rough environment. So now, she wants a soft, comfortable life, surrounded by rich an important people. She doesn't want kids because she knows she is too egocentric to be a good mother, and she doesn't want to reproduce what her mother did with her.
I really like Jessica. She's a morally grey character, vain and materialistic, but she isn't evil. I cringe when people let her have kids with Carlos Contender because it's clearly a downgrade! At least Armand would take good care of his kids.
