I actually got my style of drawing eyes from the Ace Attorney series and probably some 2D Disney movies as I grew up. :)

Hello! I'm recently starting to draw and I was wondering how to draw anatomy, you're anatomy is amazing are there any tips or tricks you use?
i think developing a habit of constantly flipping your canvas really helps! we tend to draw our bodies a little slanted based on whether we’re right/left handed and constantly flipping the canvas helps to keep that in check!
if its flipped and looks right both ways it would dramatically increase the accuracy of what you THOUGHT looked right before. for example, have an old art:
i use this method as a personal preference instead of really studying anatomy/proportions bc i’m more of a trial and error kind of person who relies on experience and feeling rather than theory studies so note that it might not be the right one for you!
many people loved the jungkook panel here but i was lazy for this one and didnt do the flipping so you can see that although it looks nice/dynamic, it exposes how off balance his left arm/torso is! (probably because i am a right hander)
for the correcting process, remember to be open minded in criticizing and detach emotions from your drawing. if it looks off, balance it out! it helps to zoom out so that you can have a clearer overview too.
the difference might be subtle, but at least our objective of making sure jungkook’s limbs aren’t TOTALLY DISJOINTED from him was achieved! hehe. this is not so much for complete beginners, but for when you are able to tell from sight if something is not anatomically balanced!
me: I want my artstyle to be those artstyles with lot of curves, action, perspective, energy, (…) me:
When your art friends are improving at a breakneck pace and you’re still a mediocre piece of garbage
when u get to that part of the drawing and u have zero confidence in ur skills
Updated tutorial? My advise is – use references! All those hands were drawn from the references, photos and life. There’s also loads of useful tutorials on drawing hands that explain how hands work. It’s your job to understand the anatomy and find a way of constructing hands that’s easy for you. And thank you! :)
