"Ubercock" Trailer from Katya Kan on Vimeo.
"Ubercock" is an attempt to create new and original content with an artistic flair whilst fitting into the mainstream hip-hop genre. Female vocals by Los Angeles singer, Dusky Dawn a.k.a. Shawna Cupples and male voice/ track by the rapper, Denis Deft Martinez. Lyrics and original artwork by Katya Kan and animation/VFX by Natalie Lacey. The principal message of the hip-hop music video is emancipating females, who are confronting misogynous treatment whether verbally or physically. It is also commenting on the commodifying culture of social apps such as Uber for getting around and Tinder, and combining these two in a humorous manner. The aim of the video is not to denigrate these apps, but rather to shed irony on their commodifying nature within the framework of human relationships.
