I noticed a lot of Stranger things shippers invested in the Mileven vs. Byler debate getting really cruel to each other, so I decided to make a blog about BOTH, as well as Will x Mike x El, or as I like to call it Mike has two hands:the ship!
I think any ship can be fun if its written well and am proudly anti harassment! I might reblog other ships here too!
I use any pronouns EXCEPT they/them!
I love it when Mike's disrespectful to Hopper because Hopper deserves all the disrespect especially s3 Hopper. I'm not going to apologize for thinking it's funny when Mike and El team up to mock him. They're teenagers and what they did was tame. Hopper's an adult, if he can't handle that, he shouldn't be interacting with kids at all. Mike and El should bully Hopper more especially for the shit pulled with them but also with Joyce.
Just a friendly reminder: It is canon that Hopper didn't tell Jane her real name or anything about where she came from for MONTHS between s1 & s2. She had to find that out by herself. He lied to her about her mom and then didn't tell her she had an actual name or an aunt. That had nothing to do with protecting her. It was all about controlling her. Jane was right. He IS like Papa.
Everyone is bisexual except Will, who is gay; Bob is straight, but a great ally; Barb is gay, and though Nancy is her first gay crush outside of celebrities, she goes on to marry another woman and she keeps all of the letters and postcards Nancy sends to her from all over the country as she travels killing monsters with her poly girlfriend and boyfriends.
Mike is scared to death he’s going to cheat on El with Will because whenever he and Will are alone he gets the feeling Will wants to kiss him and one day at the Byers Will seems about to tell him something when El walks in and she finally blurts out, “Did he tell you yet?” and Mike is like “What?” and Will is like “No,” and El almost rolls her eyes but explains what she meant and Mike’s ears are so fucking red.
Dustin marries a guy from college and they adopt two kids together. Lucas and Max get married in their 30s and they have one daughter. El and Mike and Will adopt, and end up with three kids, four dogs, one cat, and a revolving door of fosters.
Nancy, Steve, Kali, and Jonathan never have kids, but Steve somehow keeps finding stray animals that they take care of for a while before rehoming, and one day Nancy of all people finds a stray kitten and is like “Okay, this is a sign,” and they end up adopting like four cats and a dog by six years from this point, and are living in the Colorado mountains where Jonathan makes a fortune in his photography. Kali is a jack-of-all-trades, and never settles on one job long, but she loves being a hair stylist and makeup artist the most as she gets older. Nancy is a paramedic, then a nurse, then decides to go to veterinary school. Steve works at a lot of bars over the years, and a mechanic sometimes (bartender still part-time) before he owns his own garage in his 30s. Jonathan ends up writing a memoir about the four of them in his 40s that he never gets published. El gets the second copy of the final draft, after Nancy, who was his editor through most of it.

Much like Jon’s character that was left stagnant as far as development/being confronted with consequences for his actions after at least season 2, Hxpper reverted into Gruff, Hotheaded Cop Who Abuses His Power, not only with the kids but with Joyce, especially in season 3!!
And seeing all these stills from the godforsaken spin off cartoon of Hxpper once again towering over and threatening little Mike Wheeler? Idk it just seems like Hxpper isn’t too far off from someone else who screamed in Joyce and the Byers boys faces
if mike rly clocked that will had ''a crush'' on him (like the duffers say). & if he never learned that el didn't actually commission it. then him putting the painting on his epilogue fantasy wall is just. So much.
like, 'wow 2 people loved me. two amazing people. loved me. & they combined that love to make me this painting.' he's gotta feel so much idk Being Believed In & self-confidence boosts looking at that thing. a "Sorcerer" & a "Superhero" both loved him, so he'd better keep writing & keep going & work on being someone who deserves love like that

I like both mileven and byler myself, but there's one thing I sometimes see from bylers talking about mileven I heavily disagree with.
Namely, the concept that mileven is like- surrendering to conformity, if that makes sense? And doesn't break barriers or whatever.
The thing is that Eleven is not the "typical average straight gal in a straight ship" they think she is.
She canonically suffers from brain damage. Full stop confirmed by the duffers. She also reads as developmentally delayed (though it's b/c of the lab yada yada).
Its not the same, but as someone with a learning disability? Seeing someone like her in a relationship with someone who loves her as much as mike? Well, its something really excellent to see.
