With Art Fight coming up in a month I thought I should post my art from last year (cause I totally didn't forget to post last year).

First character is Dozing Dawn and belongs to SeveralBeees on Art Fight. I really liked drawing this character and exploring my style

Andromeda: technically the first attack I did but the character got locked and I can't find the person's profile to credit them, still proud of the drawing though!!

Doodle: I've loved DoodleMark's art for years now and it was really fun being able to actually draw art for someone I look up to WHO SAW IT and actually revenged me!! So happy :] (belongs to @doodlemark on tumblr)

The Hour Twins, Golden Hour and Blue Hour: I liked the twin aesthetic and the colors. I am so glad that I tried something new and designed a stained glass window!! I need to do that for my own characters now! (Belongs to @capnkerfufflez on tumblr)

The last two belong to some friends of mine. Karl belongs to @sentient-toblerone and Mother belongs to @crazend. These creative creatures were so outside of my style but I enjoyed drawing them.

ok i just read something and i gotta yap in response so. there are some ways fuyuhiko will never talk to peko

like it's a subtle thing but he will never swear at her. as in, he'll never address her with a swear word. the worst insult he ever calls her is idiot. and that... well just look at the context of the line itself. the stakes could not be higher, she's just refused his orders for her to flee and told him she has her own plans she's going to carry out. she's just locked herself onto a path which ends with her death. and this is the most scathing word he can muster

fuyuhiko does not talk to peko like he does the rest of his classmates. even if he's keeping his facade up. if you replay the 2-1 trial, you realise that he is fully trying to defend her from being accused as the murderer, whilst trying to maintain his facade of not giving a shit, and, well... this line really illustrates it

he's flinging swears constantly at the others, and yet... that girl. and otherwise, it's mostly just "you", "she" and "her", the eye of the storm compared to how he addresses everyone else around them. i honestly love this line. subtle peko and fuyuhiko interactions in the 2-1 trial which can only be noticed on a replay, i love you

so yeah. unless they're despairs, lay off the swears

celestia is such a funny character like she's constantly manipulating twilight and friends to do shit instead of just asking and you could arguably frame that as being bc she's a "god" and pushing fate to her design or whatever, except that she engages with the group like a normal and relatable person, which makes it more like villainous machinations, except 90% of this manipulation goes towards things like "I don't want my party to be boring shit again. put my little country girl blorbos in there with zero prep so they fuck it up bad"

Celestia instantly makes more sense as a character when you ignore the princess stuff and remember that she's a 1000+ years old wizard. Of course she does manipulative trickster stuff to teach moral lessons and/or cause chaos to amuse herself, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course sometimes she's actually socially awkward and bad at personal relationships and has bad ideas that she thought were good that result in her eating shit embarrassing style, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course she lets the aristocrats and nobles run around being assholes she's still running on wizard advisor programming, she's basically trying to merlin the entire upper class of equestria instead of just a king and some knights. "Yeah uuhhh we'll release the incarnation of chaos himself from his ancient prison because we think this shy girl can be friends with him", terrible plan if you're thinking like a ruler, amazing plan if you're thinking like a wizard. Just look at Canterlot 'Castle' for five seconds and ask yourself if that's in any way a castle. No. Wizard tower, yes. Wizard.

Headcanon that, as children, Tybalt would tell Juliet elaborate stories/fairytales to get her to sleep, using his sheathed rapier to act out slaying dragons. Those were the only times in his life he could use his weapon to spark joy rather than hatred, the only times he could be seen as someone worthy, a hero rather than a tool, even by just one person.

And as he bleeds out on the street, his last few sights of the world consist of his own blood-stained hands, Romeo glaring at him with rage and contempt. He tries so hard to be his family's hero, to bring honor to his name, and yet as he slips from life he detests himself for being unable to defy his purpose as a mere weapon, believing he's a disgusting, unworthy villain as he dies. Perhaps one of his final thoughts or words was an apology to Juliet for letting down the one person who believed in his goodness.
