Women: This female-lead movie might not have been perfect but it is one of only a few that has ever made me feel powerful and seen like men get to feel every day and thus it is extremely important to me and constantly being reminded by men that these movies are “bad” makes me uncomfortable and I would like to be allowed to enjoy these movies in peace.

Men™: Um but have you considered that this movie is actually Bad? In fact the whole time the men are barely included or played as dumb/disposable and that makes the movie sexist actually. You should agree with me that this movie is impossible and stupid and here is a link to a video by a cis straight white man about why everything in this movie is wrong and the women would be so much better if they were sexually pleasing to look at and smiled all the time and always listened to the obviously cooler and smarter male characters. I see no problem with me liking other movies like these but hating only the ones with women in them. Also I have drawn “de-tumblerized” versions of all the characters in skimpy outfits and corsets and am going to post a 2 page rant about how this is much more empowering than the ugly and boring manish designs in the official movies. Also here is a causal dash of bigotry and queerphobia while I imply that Rick Sanchez is a role model and talk about how women won’t date me because they are all shallow bitches. I am very intelligent.
