I would love a reading on asteroids and persona charts (such as fama, actor, singer, industria...) in sidereal!

Hi, it's been a while since I got an interesting ask! 👋🏼

Asteroids and persona charts are something I'm genuinely curious about too, and I think they're great for giving more concrete examples, like I did in my asteroids post, even though sometimes I try using myself as an example when explaining things on my posts but i think famous people or historical figures are far more interesting haha !

I'm also actually considering a slightly different rhythm and posting things that go beyond what's already here, so asteroid posts or celebrity chart examples with asteroids (if that's specifically what you're after) are definitely on the table in sidereal!

And if you have a different kind of celebrity reading in mind, feel free to ask or drop a comment below, I'll see if it catches my interest depending on the person or the specifics 😉

Just know that the people I find interesting might not overlap much with typical Tumblr faves..

Also one thing I'll say upfront for anyone thinking of asking: I won't be doing posts on appearance and nakshatras using celebrities. They have surgery, access to everything to look their best, and represent a very small slice of the population, so they're not really useful examples for that. Beauty is subjective anyway, and physical appearance comes from a combination of many factors, not just one nakshatra.

What’s your reason for being and to live ?

Ikigai

As you know my love for 5th house, I also have a love for anything that can get close to it especially if it can be a life philosophy and one of them is Ikigai, which also combines my interest for Japan 🌸

A few months ago, I dived quite a bit into the concept of Ikigai, which means your reason of being, your reason to live, what brings meaning, joy, peace and satisfaction in your life. So you see why it has a strong link with 5th house. I looked at it both through the Japanese lense, which is more spiritual and focuses on the personal or whole lifestyle and even in the simplest thing of the daily life, and through the Western lense, which is more career focused.

I discovered the concept through a workshop though I often heard people mention it. And later, I decided to developed my Ikigai through introspection and work to align with that new direction I want to take and then create a road map just like I use astrology as a star map for my life. As I made it, I realised that what I put in my Ikigai was also written in the stars.

Though I’m more for the work being done through introspection regarding Ikigai, I still found the cheat code in a my chart so I thought it might help you to know yours or help understand other’s people Ikigai.

So the Ikigai is built around 4 key concepts:

- What you LOVE, what brings you joy, what you're passionate about, what makes your heart sing.

- What you are GIFTED for, what you’re naturally good at, usually if you love to do something you get good at it since passion is a strong motivation,

- What you can be PAID for, what people notice about you and value, the knowledge, hard and soft skills, and know-how that people can pay you for.

- What you can bring to the WORLD, what you value and what would bring meaning, what gives purpose to your Soul.

Somehow sounds a bit like some of the things you can find through the 5th Lord’s nakshatra, doesn’t it ? 🤭

And the meeting point of all those 4 spheres is your Ikigai. If one of them is missing, you won't find fulfillment.

And in a chart, here’s where I found them:

❀ Love aka your heart's compass : the 5th Lord and the 5th House, the Moon and its nakshatra, Venus for what we love and find pleasure in, Mars for the passion that drives us.

❀ Gifts aka your talents : your Atmakaraka and Amatyakaraka, Mercury for skills and intellect, 3rd lord for natural gifts and inner intellect, 5th Lord for creativity, skills and intelligence, Jupiter for wisdom, learning and expansiveness in gifts.

❀ Success aka your financial flow and career : your Amatyakaraka, 2nd Lord for finances, 10th Lord for career and professional businesses, 11th Lord for gains and accomplishments, and Lagnesh for how you project yourself into the world.

❀ World or your Soul's vocation : obviously the Atmakaraka as the Soul’s path or mission, 9th Lord for Dharma and finding a deeper meaning in life, and Rahu* for the karmic direction and inner path and what the soul is aiming for.

*I’m preparing a post about this alongside the 5th lords in different houses and signs.

I’m still all for doing the introspective work instead of ‘cheating’ with the chart as it is good for self development, but I thought it won’t hurt to share 🌸

Colors of Vedic

As the sunny days are back since spring settled well where I live, it inspires me to wear more colors so I thought a post on colors would be fun ☀️🎨

Also I find it harder and harder to stay positive on Tumblr so this week will probably be the last one with a very light and positive accent on things, except for the 5th Lord post I need to make to loop the loop, as I really feel an imbalance in energy here, so colors also feel like a good way for me to restore it.

Yes really good channels up there for English speakers ! Couldn’t agree more !

I follow half of them and watch occasional videos of the others if it touches a subject of interest. They all have different style and approach so I think anyone can find what suits them best to learn about the nakshatras and some of them have patreons too.

Looking at Asteroids in Vedic ?

Even though I use Vedic and not Tropical, as I find sidereal placements to be more accurate in my experience, both with my own chart and others, I recently got curious about asteroids ☄️

Vedic doesn’t use them, just like it doesn’t use planets beyond Saturn, but I realised that checking asteroid placements with Sidereal (whole sign) while using the classic Tropical interpretation of them is actually quite accurate.

There are different kinds of asteroids, related to love, sex, money, career, health, body, fame, mind, luck, etc., and I only looked at those I could verify through my own chart, people I know, or well-documented public figures. I was quite surprised to see how well they held up !

For my own chart, most asteroids changed signs in Sidereal but kept the same house, though for some people it’s the opposite.

Even slight changes in sign or house make a meaningful difference in interpretation, and that difference often points toward the more accurate reading.

❀ Let’s look at one of my asteroid placements. I have my Mnemosyne in Gemini in Sidereal whereas it is in Cancer in Tropical, though they are both in the same house. This asteroid is about memory, creativity and harmony. In Gemini it is about verb, words and intellect and about the ability to weave logical and complex links between disparate fragments and informations. Whereas in Cancer, it is about guarding a deep emotional sanctuary, tied to childhood and family roots which permeate every reactions to the present. My mind and memory functions with logical and complex associations and pattern connections between pieces or different fields of informations which I think people can see even in my blog. Whereas I do not have a strong emotional tie to my family roots, I acknowledge it but it doesn’t strongly influence me as I’m more about creating my own tradition and keep only what serves me. So the Gemini placement, and therefore the Sidereal chart, is more accurate for me.

❀ In a less personal example, actress Shannen Doherty has asteroid Juno conjunct her Midheaven. In both Tropical and Sidereal it falls in Gemini, which makes her communicative, curious, drawn to stimulating partners, but the house shifts from the 9th House in Tropical to the 10th House in Sidereal.

Juno is named after the Roman goddess, queen of the gods and protector of marriage. As Jupiter’s wife, she endured his repeated infidelities and is often depicted pursuing his lovers and illegitimate children. In the 10th house, Juno pushes the native to seek a partner connected to their career or public life, especially going for a partner who is ambitious and visible. Whereas in 9th house, it is more about seeking intellectual explorations, learning, travels in the relations. Shannen often went for men she met through her career and in this example she went for Rick Salomon, an ambitious American film producer whom she married. So the Juno in 10th house in Sidereal is more accurate in her case.

Shannen Doherty left her husband Rick Salomon after he released a sex tape with heiress Paris Hilton, twelve years her junior. The humiliation played out entirely in a career-adjacent environment, again 10th house territory. She later crossed paths with Paris Hilton at a party, she assaulted her physically and wrote insults on her car. That Juno-like rage, the wronged wife enacting revenge on the other woman, manifesting in a public, career-related context rather than through intellectual or philosophical channels as a 9th house Juno would suggest.

❀ On the other hand, Rick Salomon himself has a Sagittarius Ascendant in Tropical ruled by Jupiter, and a dominant Jupiter in both systems, recreating the Jupiter/Juno dynamic with Shannen almost literally. His Juno is in Sagittarius in both systems: adventurous, free-spirited and non-committal in love. In Tropical it sits in the 1st house, which would suggest personal devotion and loyalty, qualities he clearly didn’t embody. In Sidereal, it moves to the 2nd house, shifting the focus toward material values and financial security, which better explains his trajectory toward the heiress Paris Hilton, especially since this infidelity was also part of his ambition, as this sex tape made him internationally famous and successful in his later films as a producer which is a reflection of his Jupiter like ambition and his Juno placement in Sagittarius 2nd House in Sidereal.

Paris Hilton, for her part, described the release of the famous sex tape filmed by Rick Salomon as a rape: it came out without her consent, and she experienced it very badly just like most Zeus/Jupiter’s lover experienced their relationship with him. Indeed Jupiter was known to often rape or trick his lover and this sex tape is a symbolic rape by a Jupiter dominant man.

I never looked before at asteroids as I found their interpretation with Tropical placements quite off, now I realise that the interpretation of how they work weren’t wrong but that I had to look at them differently, through the Sidereal lens. Either way, I find it fascinating to see how these small bodies can add another layer of precision to a chart and how the sidereal lens often sharpens what tropical leaves slightly blurred or even quite off. I’ll definitely keep an eye on them !

Feminine and masculine energy

Okay, this post is a bit different than what I’ve been recently sharing here but I felt it was important for me to post. And in the long run, my blog will probably be filled with different of subjects since I have a wide range of interests 🍧

Why masculine energy is also important and not the sole attribute of men ?

Women and men both have feminine and masculine energy. The divine feminine and sacred masculine is part of each individual with each people having its own balance of it 🌸

However, in my humble opinion, the feminine energy or divine feminine is more complete because women can be connected to their head, to their heart and to their body simultaneously and constantly whereas for men it is difficult. They can only be one of those aspects at the same time, which doesn’t make them lesser but less whole. They often choose only one aspect, usually head or body and rarely heart, and even those who wear their heart on their sleeves are just as unbalanced. This is only with the presence of feminine energy or trying to connect with it that they can tap on their other potential whereas women can naturally do it and can even focus on one of the three and easily shift from one state to another depending on the situation.

And trust me, this is why men are afraid of women in power..

Women can be both powerful and soft, can have and can wield both Yang and Yin easily and they usually want both. I like to say figuratively that they can make both war and love while men only know war. And often, in pre-patriarchal societies and pre-patriarchal myths, women did both and goddesses were both goddesses of war and goddesses of love, embodying both the masculine and the feminine. I still didn’t find a better wording but it feels strange to call it masculine and feminine as women have both, it’s a cultural wording we all understand but it’s closer to Yin and Yang in harmony, or being in harmony with the outer and inner self, also fine with both senses and intuition, both logic and emotion, both freedom and control and so on..

Having both those energies means being both pragmatic, intellectual, brave, fierce but also intuitive, instinctive, passionate, nurturing and creative and all those qualities complement each other well. And ideally women embody those qualities and can tap into both masculine and feminine energy. And even if they might need some help with one side or the other, they have the ability to do it. Why ? Because if or when women are alone, they can be at a disadvantage especially if they’re not able to balance those energies or if they lacks one side compared to the other so that’s why they are naturally build to be able to wield both.

Besides, no women truly love sacrificing their power for the love of a man even when they do so, like I said it’s a sacrifice. But if they could have both, most would gladly and happily take it. And I think we should go for both.

Also, a little advice for women who naturally wields both:

You will encounter men who’ll try to knock you down to make you more reachable, or try to break your confidence or even break you to make you reachable or try to build you into something they won’t be intimidated by anymore. Ditch those men, get rid of them, and avoid them as much as possible, leave with dignity before they strip you of everything that makes you the great woman you are. Go for the ones who respect you, treat you as an equal, are proud of you and proud to stand by you and won’t be afraid to put you before them. A queen deserves a king, not a scheming buffoon. And remember, a flower blooms with sun, not dim light 👑💐

Celebrities and historical figures that could actually have Abhijit placements 🌟

Abhijit

Even before my first post on Abhijit, I was already digging deeper into this nakshatra and looking at celebrities and historical figures who could actually have Abhijit placements. And the results were fascinating ! ✨

A quick reminder for those who haven’t seen my post on Abhijit:

❀ Abhijit is an intercalary nakshatra, spanning only a few degrees between Uttara Ashadha and Shravana in Capricorn.

❀ It is rarely used in traditional Vedic practice, as its placements are quite rare because of a very short time frame. Yet astrologers still look for its transits.

❀ But rare doesn’t mean insignificant, quite the opposite, it is a very auspicious nakshatra, synonymous with victory.

What struck me most while compiling this list wasn’t just who appeared, but the kind of profiles and patterns that emerged.

👑 Reigning Royalty

Kings, queens, tsars, emperors and other sovereigns. Those who held the highest power and ruled. What is particularly interesting here is that rulers and sovereigns have always been associated with the Sun, the king of kings, the source of light and authority. And Abhijit is ruled by the Sun. This parallel feels deeply meaningful and could explain why so many figures of absolute power across history carry this nakshatra. A remarkable number also come from Saxon, German, Austrian, Bavarian and Nordic royal lines, followed by French and Mediterranean rulers. It is interesting to note that during their time, their regions had a strong influence over the world. Also for them Abhijit was mostly in the Uttara Ashada part, ruled by Sun.

Without reigning, they were born into an honorable and influential position, deeply embedded in the most powerful families of their time. A remarkable number of dukes, duchesses and archduchesses also fell into this category, at the highest rank of nobility, sometimes with a direct link to royalty or even on the direct line of succession when heirs were few. As with the reigning royalty, a strong presence of Saxon, German, Austrian, Bavarian and Nordic noble lines stands out, followed by French and Mediterranean nobility too. And it was a period where those regions held a lot of power and influence across the world. Here, most Abhijit placements were in the Shravana part, ruled by Moon, so more like a reflection of power and not the main ruling power, with also a lot of Moon Abhijit enhancing that perspective. Also Moon was in the Uttara Ashada part of Abhijit for people who were supposed to rule at some point but never did, those who ended up reigning with this nakshatra weren’t meant to rule like Napoleon, so it’s an interesting parallel between those meant to rule and those who unexpectedly come into power.

An interesting case of someone who benefited from a position of influence through family ties while bringing his own political contribution, much like consorts and nobility throughout history, though in a very different, more modern and darker context.

🙏 Religious and Spiritual Leaders

In earlier centuries, religious power and political power walked hand in hand, those who led a state also relied on the faith or rather had to work with it, and those who led the faith held immense influence over kingdoms. Power balanced between the state and the religion, it is therefore no surprise that Abhijit appears in the charts of several popes and spiritual figures of that era as power and religion ruled both over people especially in earlier times. Like ruling royalty, many religious figurehead had their Abhijit placement mostly in the Uttara Ashada part of Abhijit, with Sun UA being the most influential and lasting, showing the same link that king have with Sun, power and God. Also, when placement fall in the Shravana part, the influence is more discreet or targeted, or the spiritual influence is quite unconventional.

Interestingly, as religion gradually separated from state power, Abhijit ceased to appear among traditional religious figures, surviving only in the charts of those bold enough to found entirely new spiritual movements or currents, successfully gathering followers and leaving their mark. And this pattern continues into modern times, many gurus who successfully attracted and influenced people, whether for good or ill, appear to carry this placement. Charles Manson is one of the most striking examples, but he is far from the only one.

💫 Leaders, Revolutionaries and Influential Politicians

Unlike royalty who were born into their position, these figures rose rapidly and extraordinarily high, as if Abhijit acted as their lucky star, guiding them toward a victory that seemed almost destined. Their influence outlasted their time, their name more powerful in history than many born into nobility. They didn’t just lead, they changed the course of entire states and left a mark that history could not erase.

Napoleon Bonaparte I and Napoleon III are worth mentioning here as well especially Napoleon I; both born into different circumstances but both rising to extraordinary heights of power as emperors. They embody this energy of Abhijit as a driving force toward victory and historical impact, and what's interesting about Napoleon I is that, as he was Corsican, he was very superstitious and he believed in his lucky star that propulsed him to his height, made him victorious and confident, and made him more king than kings of France. Moon in the Uttara Ashada part had the more unexpected and auspicious outcome for its natives.

❀ Fanny Godin 🌙 (Belgian supercentenarian, one of the oldest validated persons in Belgium, living until 112 years old. A curious case of Abhijit’s auspicious energy perhaps expressed through the gift of an extraordinarily long life. Did she sought to live this long ? Was it the goal or dream that Abhijit fulfilled for her ? She was one of the best record in that and among the first.)

❀ Also worth noting, a few cases of quadruplet and quintuplet births across the world, as well as several pairs of twins, fell under this nakshatra. Given Abhijit’s association with auspicious and victorious beginnings, this feels rather interesting as children can be seen as auspicious blessings and a kind of abundance ✨

One of the most fascinating patterns I noticed is how Abhijit natives seem to reflect the dominant circle of influence of their era. In earlier centuries, true power lived in royalty, nobility and the religions, and that’s where Abhijit was. As religion gradually separated from state power, Abhijit ceased to appear among traditional religious figures, surviving only in the charts of those bold enough to found entirely new spiritual movements. As monarchies became more symbolic and revolutions reshaped the world, Abhijit shifted toward leaders, revolutionaries, explorers and scientists, and then toward the founders of great dynasties whose influence on our modern ways of living is still deeply felt today. I thought that I would find it among presidents and prime ministers but not at all at the exception of Benjamin Franklin. As we live in an entertainment society, politicians aren’t really influential and are more like political actors and not even the kind of actors people follow and look up to. Now, influence has moved to artists, athletes and content creators, and Abhijit followed. As if this nakshatra naturally gravitates toward wherever true power and impact reside in any given time, no matter the moral alignment which might be influenced by other aspects outside Abhijit effects. Also Abhijit seems to manifest either within an influential legacy or among people who will or aim to found their own whatever their field or scope of influence.

Another interesting aspect is that real power and influence was mostly found in the Uttara Ashada part of Abhijit which is ruled by Sun, whereas the Shravana part was more bathed in the power and influence without really carrying it. I think Uttara Ashada is the stronger portion because it is also tied to victory and means « latter victory » beside also being the larger portion of Abhijit. Whereas Shravana, the smaller portion of Abhijit, acts more like an echo all the more since it means the « hearing » and Saraswati, its ruling goddess provides the power of connection with others just like this portion seem to act, also echoing the reflecting aspect of the Moon ruling over this part. Moreover having Sun placement influence the Sun auspiciousness of Abhiit in both Uttara Ashada and Shravana portions, whereas Moon softened it or appeared in the most unexpected way of auspiciousness by guiding those who weren't born in fame, power or influence towards it, and Rising could increase status or visibility and give more than what was expected at birth without being as transformative as Sun or Moon.

Two particular cases stood out, Ingrid Alexandra, Princess of Norway and Athena, Princess of Denmark both appear to have two Abhijit placements and same placement, making them perhaps the only modern princesses with such a double connection to this nakshatra. It will be very interesting to follow their paths and see what kind of influence they’ll hold in their lives and country especially since they are not expected to rule which might showcase Abhijit unexpected twist of events and luck.

And speaking of modern royalty, Amada Gosling (🌙 in the UA part of Abhijit), daughter of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, could be considered a princess in her own right in this entertainment society. Born from a king and queen of their field, she enters the world already wrapped in a certain kind of legacy. She might follow in their path or set a new one.

There are certainly many more people who could fall into these categories, perhaps not on a world stage, but as pioneers, founders or figures of victory within their own communities and fields. I did find several such cases following the same timeline and domain patterns noticed here. Abhijit doesn’t need a grand stage, it just needs to win, and it seems to give either an auspicious situation by birth, or act as a lucky star guiding people toward the realisation of their deepest goals and ambitions 🌟

As I was often asked about planets in the 5th house under my 5th house and 5th lord nakshatra posts, I decided to make a post for each planet in the 5th house.

So, yes having planets in your 5th house adds another layer to the blessings of the 5th house in your life and anything touching creativity, romance, pleasure, children, intelligence, spirituality or even speculations. Each planets or specific placements adds a layer and each placements and aspects related to the 5th house is a specific nuances that makes each chart unique.

Let’s start with the planets and a few specific cases ! ✨

❀ If you have Sun in 5H, then the 5th house has a strong impact on your personality, behaviour and life path. I organised them from highest to lowest degree, and Pitrikaraka is an optional karaka, often used when people take into account Rahu as a Karaka in 8 Karakas system or when two planets fall in the same degree which is quite rare.

❀ Atmakaraka (AK): the Lead, who you are, the Soul’s base and core, what you’re most confident with and skilled at, what drives you constantly and leads your agenda, the reason why behind your main choices and decisions, and your deepest karmic lesson to master in this lifetime.

What it is: the Soul indicator, your Soul’s path and purpose.

What it is: the Children and Joy indicator, creativity, teaching and artistic intelligence. As the 5th highest degree, clearly linked to the 5th house.

❀ Gnatikaraka (GK): the Blind Spot, your personal kryptonite and recurring karmic challenge. Where you are most tested, where you struggle the most and where the deepest growth hides. Sometimes a shortcoming you’re completely unaware of which leads you to repeat the same mistakes.

What it is: the Enemies and Obstacles indicator, conflict sources and karmic challenges.

❀ Darakaraka (DK): the Seeker, what your soul seeks to feel complete. The mirror that reflects what you still need to integrate, learn or become, and what draws you to others.

What it is: the Spouse and Partnership indicator, your desires and what completes you.

❀ Pitrikaraka (PiK): the Overlooked Wisdom, inherited knowledge passed down through lineage, or what you master naturally and effortlessly, but often ignore because it feels too familiar or easy, yet it is quietly powerful when acknowledged.

What it is: the Father indicator, ancient karma and lineage. Optional karaka.

Nakshatras and the Seven Feminine Archetypes

7 Feminine archetypes

Though I don’t like putting people into boxes, I love using tools that enable understanding them, understanding myself, and the relationships that could stem from it or the potential of each individual. And the 7 feminine archetypes theory is one of those tools I love 💖

There are 7 feminine archetypes or goddesses:

The Lover, represented by Aphrodite or Venus, which is sensual, magnetic, passionate, creative and oriented toward pleasure, beauty, art, and desire, with a deep need for both freedom and connection.

The Sage, represented by Athena or Nike, which is wise, analytical, intelligent, emotionally objective, strategic and driven by knowledge, truth, purpose, victory and understanding.

The Mystic, represented by Hestia or Vesta, which is intuitive, calm, peaceful, affable, introverted, spiritual, creative, soulful, mesmerising and attuned to the unseen and the sacred.

The Queen, represented by Hera or Juno, which is regal, charismatic, elegant, loyal, and naturally commanding of respect and devotion but also very devoted to her partner which she turns into a king.

The Huntress, represented by Artemis or Diana, which is independent, focused, ambitious, athletic or dynamic, courageous and driven by purpose and achievement.

The Mother, represented by Demeter or Ceres, which is nurturing, sweet, loving, compassionate, protective, responsible and deeply devoted to those she loves.

The Maiden, represented by Persephone or Proserpina, which is playful, curious, innocent, youthful, free-spirited, sometimes rebellious, and full of wonder and transformative energy.

I could also add the Crone but it’s more a life a phase every women go though in the last part of their lives whereas the 7 other archetypes are more constant and present early on. But one could argue that we all are Maidens in the early stage of life beside having other archetypes being present.

So we all have a bit of those 7 archetypes within us, one or two, sometimes three, are more present than the others. Usually most women tap in their Lover archetype as a primary or secondary. It is quite rare to not have the Lover in the first two, and if not, working to make the Lover a secondary is quite important to balance the primary and tap in your feminine energy and also lover energy.

However, in rare cases, some women are almost entirely dominated by the Lover archetype, with the others being much lower. This creates an imbalance, which isn’t as problematic as struggling to tap into the Lover archetype, but it can make a woman excessively focused on love, pleasure, passion and attraction and lack rationality or decision making ability or even struggle to harness the masculine energy which is quite important too to create balance. Elizabeth Taylor is a great example of this, like the first one to come to mind though she isn’t the only one. Her passionate and magnetic energy was undeniable, but it also led her to marry eight times and sometimes not chose the right person for her as she was more focused on falling in love and living passionately which hindered her decision making abilities.

In Vedic, we can find some equivalent of those goddesses.

Those are all my personal interpretations, so to take with a grain of stardust ❀

For Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty and desire, we have Lakshmi, goddess of love, beauty and prosperity, ruling over Venus/Shukra, but also Rati, goddess of love, lust, passion and pleasure.

For Athena, goddess of war, wisdom and weaving, we have Saraswati, goddess of knowledge, wisdom and arts and crafts, ruling over Jupiter/Guru and sometimes Mercury/Budha depending on the tradition, but imo Jupiter makes more sense for both goddesses.

For Hestia, goddess of home and hearth, the sacred, family and the state, we have Griha Lakshimi, goddess of the sacred hearth, or Annapurna, a manifestation of Parvati associated with home and food.

For Hera, goddess of marriage, women, family and who is the queen of gods and goddesses, we have Sati, goddess of marriage, and Parvati, in her queenly state who is the more regal reincarnation of Sati, and goddess of fertility, marital felicity, spouse and power, ruling over the Moon/Chandra.

For Artemis, goddess of hunting, moon, chastity, childbirth, wilderness and nature, we have Matangi, huntress goddess of the forests, the wild and the arts, ruling over the Sun/Surya or Mercury/Budha in certain traditions. Whereas interestingly Artemis is ruling over the Moon.

For Demeter, goddess of motherhood, fertility, harvest and agriculture, we have Parvati, in her motherly state who is the mother goddess and goddess of motherhood, both nurturing, mature and devoted and associated to food and abundance, and Bhumi Devi, goddess of Earth and mother of Sita just like Demeter is the mother of Persephone.

For Persephone, goddess of spring, transformation and queen of the underworld, we have Sita, goddess of beauty and devotion, whose story echoes the story of Persephone by being abducted to another realm and then coming back to her mother, the Earth, for a new cycle starting with spring. But we also have Kali, goddess of transformation, death and rebirth.

So with that, some of these archetypes and goddesses already evoke certain nakshatras quite naturally, and looking for their Vedic equivalents can give us some clues.

At first glance, I can see Bharani for the transformative aspect of the Maiden and Persephone, Rohini for the Lover’s sensual, creative and magnetic nature, Purva Phalguni, ruled by Venus, for Aphrodite’s link to pleasure, romance, seduction and luxury, Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter, for the Sage’s determination and drive but also for the Huntress’ ambition and goal oriented nature, Swati for the Mystic independent, free and soulful self, and so on...

Beyond nakshatras, personally I resonate the most with the Lover first then the Sage, and I could argue I sometimes have a strong third which varied depending on the phase in life and wasn’t constant like the first two. So I still relate to the others to a certain extent and in certain aspects of my life but not as strongly as the Lover or the Sage which are always there and quite balanced with each other if not alternating in more intense periods.

And each combination of those archetypes creates a certain balance between feminine and masculine energy, or yin and yang energy as for now I don’t have a better wording though it doesn’t mean that some women are masculine and some are more feminine.

It’s the wording we use culturally but I might need to think of a better one if it triggers certain people..

To me, with having both the Lover and the Sage, it’s like having both feminine or masculine energy working together, or just as much yin and yang with maybe a touch more yin as Lover comes first.

Anyways, as you can see, I’ve started noticing some patterns between certain nakshatras, certain placements and these archetypes and I’m looking more into it to see if something can be made out of it in a useful and inspiring way. I think there can be certain templates or blueprints emerging from it to learn from and to succeed in any area of life as women.

Abhijit - The Forgotten Nakshatra

Some of you might have noticed I added Abhijit in my fourth part on the 5th Lord’s nakshatra series, here’s a post explaining why I included it.

I decided to include Abhijit because I think it is worth adding it even though it has a very short and narrow frame. Reason why it isn’t traditionally used as it makes its placements much more rare.

Considered like a hidden nakshatra or the 28th nakshatra, Abhijit is more like an intercalary nakshatra, just like Ophiuchus is the 13th intercalary zodiac sign and almost just as unused. But contrary to Ophiuchus, using Abhijit doesn’t create an offset. It happens after Uttara Ashada and becomes the 22nd nakshatra instead of Shravana who becomes the 23rd. The degrees and signs don’t change, Abhijit only borrows a few degrees from the traditional Uttara Ashada and Shravana. So even if traditional Vedic doesn’t use it in birth charts, it is still regarded as a very positive and auspicious time frame.

Abhijit happens in Capricorn between the 4th Pada of Uttara Ashada and the 1st pada of Shravana, spanning from 6°40’00’’ to 10°53’20’’. Unlike other nakshatras, it doesn’t carry traditional padas, and is the only masculine nakshatra as it is ruled by a god while the other traditional 27 nakshatras are all ruled by goddesses, as wives of Chandra, the moon god. In some traditions, he acts as the 27 nakshatras’ brother.

Represented by Vega, the brightest star and empowering the constellation of Lyra, Abhijit means “the victorious one” or “the one who can’t be beaten” and that’s why it is a very auspicious nakshatra. It carries a bright and positive energy of victory, success and divine alignment. Symbolically, in Vedic astrology, it is tied to clarity, honour, and a sense of destiny that supports well-timed beginnings and purposeful actions. Its link to deities like Brahma or Vishnu, depending on the tradition, and its mention in traditional scriptures underlines its unique role as a symbol of cosmic victory and right timing. And since it borrows a larger part of Uttara Ashada, Sun is considered to be the ruling planet of Abhijit which aligns with this energy of light, victory, authority and success, instead of Moon’s receptive, sensitive, emotional, nurturing and changing nature; while Saturn remains as the sign ruler because of Capricorn.

When Abhijit appears in a birth chart, it may indicate an innate sense of direction, clarity, confidence, along with the ability to overcome obstacles with an invincible quality and move forward with assurance, as though guided by an inner alignment with purposeful paths.

I ended up considering it, even though information about it is more scarce, because I’ve noticed that some people with Capricorn placements do not fully embody the characteristics of either Uttara Ashada or Shravana, even after birth time adjustment when possible. Some do but not only, like there’s something distinctive compared to other natives of those same nakshatras. I've noticed interesting patterns about them that I might make into another post. Anyway, this is actually how I became aware of Abhijit, especially since some carry obvious signs tied to this nakshatra. So I think it makes sense to acknowledge it, especially for those who don’t fully relate to Uttara Ashada or Shravana, or who don’t seem to express their traits outwardly especially with the energy it carries. Also, wouldn’t it be a shame to overlook this nakshatra and deprive ourselves of this positive energy ? Some still look at its time frame to make the most of it regarding the transits of the planets in it✨

As you can see with my 5th house Lord post and this one, I’m quite interested in this nakshatra even though I don’t have it and I’ve been doing a lot of research around it and what I’m finding is quite fascinating! Can’t wait to share with you my findings, observations and analysis of this nakshatra with you ! 💫

Thank you all for answering the poll ! Also thank you for those who shared their observations and specific familial patterns in the comments, this was so interesting to read ! 🥰

Here’s what came out of it.

The poll results

As we can see, 74% of you share two or more nakshatras with a close family member or more, which already tells us something.

Only 13% share none at all, and I’ll come back to what that might mean.

Observations based on personal experience, research and comments

A few things kept coming up repeatedly, and they align with what I’ve been noticing in my own observations.

One nakshatra tends to dominate an entire lineage.

❀ Some of you noticed that one specific nakshatra keeps reappearing across parents, siblings, grandparents, not always on the same planet, but it’s there which I’ve noticed too. It acts like a family signature, a thread running through the bloodline. I’ve also noticed that the father will give one nakshatra to the children which would be the red thread of the paternal family side karmic pattern. And same for the mother who also pass down the maternal karmic pattern. So most siblings end up with at least two common nakshatras if they are karmically bonded, though not necessarily the same ones.

❀ Partners and children mirror your own chart too. Often, just like with the paternal or maternal thread, there can be a general one shared with both spouse and children which becomes the common trend of the new family you build with someone and it can be found often in Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Sun and ascendant though Rahu too. The people we draw closest into our lives, not just the family we’re born into, seem to reflect our own nakshatra placements back at us and it can be the common point where communication, values, temperaments and general relation and development revolve around, and most importantly what can bring and bind this new family together.

❀ Another pattern worth noting among several families: the more a nakshatra connected to a specific family member appears across the chart of several relatives, the stronger that person’s influence on the family as a whole. It may also simply and often mean that the individual holds the highest authority in the family. It also suggests that their energy, karma or presence became a kind of anchor point for the others, and that the sense of family itself, for those people, is deeply tied to that one individual.

Since I got only few comments, it was easy to look at them so I’m sharing what came out of it here.

For eg, @Archergem (thank you again for commenting ! 🌸) noticed their entire maternal side was heavily mercurial, with birthdays clustering in June and shared nakshatra placements across generations stemming from the matriarch grandmother who held a lot of influence in her family. That’s a strong matriarchal red thread running there that follows several generations and branches because of her strong influence on them.

Also, @Venusianshawty (thank you again for your comment 🥰) described their family as “very very intertwined” with nakshatras overlapping in every direction, parent to child, sibling to sibling, grandparent to grandchild. And I couldn’t agree more with that ! The more karmically bonded and the more it looks like a web of nakshatras or constellation of stars. And each one reflects the bond between two natives.

@Cosmicthoughtzalign (thank you for your comment ✨) noted that their grandfather who significantly shaped their life shares the same Moon sign, and that their brothers inherited their father’s placements showing again a strong familial thread, here the father naturally being the male figure of the brothers.

What’s interesting with a shared nakshatra and planet between two individuals is the link between them, the shared interest or similarities in life and the influence of one on the other in a specific area. Here shared moon nakshatra shows a strong emotional link, the influence of the elder on the native’s true essence, similar hearts, there might also be a strong and deep understanding between the two with a strong bond.

For another exemple if it were shared Venus, it would have been a balanced bond, based on harmony and cooperation with few disagreements and only lighter ones if any, also similar tastes in sensory pleasures, comforts, food and goods. Also similar takes on relationships, like the younger learning from the elder and adopting a similar take and behaviour in relation, love language and emotional expression.

Or sharing the same Sun like it is the case for @Venusianshawty is a strong indicator of shared soul and similar personalities but also a strong bond especially between parent and child where the elder held a strong influence on the child. Actually it is also a pattern for being the favorite child, I’m curious if Venusianshawty confirms that in her family pattern since she has several siblings ? In the case of only child family, the parent or elder treats the child like a prince or princess but doesn’t mean it makes the child rotten spoiled (only when sun is afflicted).

Among the observations I had, and that also joins the shared family nakshatras in comment, is the link with Rahu and Ketu.

The Rahu/Ketu of a parent often becomes a personal planet of the child. This one is striking. When a parent carries something in Rahu, an obsession, an unresolved pattern, an amplified energy, it seems to land on one of the child’s planet. Also many strong planets end as children’s Ketu. What was unconscious or karmic in the parent becomes lived experience in the child or something the child is completely detached from or has a more personal take about it. Also Rahu often is paternal grand-father and Ketu the maternal grand-father and sometimes we see directly grandchildren inherit from their grandparents Rahu or Ketu, sometimes if not grand-father still from maternal or paternal side. Also the Mother’s Rahu nakshatra often appear among the children nakshatras and shows an intense emotional connection or that the mother can be the common link between her children which is quite natural. Jupiter can show up too especially from the father as a form of guidance. There’s often a link with Jupiter, Sun or the 9th house and the father, and a link with Moon, Rahu, or the 4th house and the mother. But I need to examine those more closely to see why a certain planet or placement is more likely than the other depending on cases.

Ketu on the other hand is either a form of detachment or a very karmic relationship, sometimes a mix of both starting one way and going toward the other.

The Sun and Ascendant swap is a recurring pattern.

Another observation is that often the Sun and Ascendant tend to swap between close relatives. What one person carries as their rising, their instinctive self, their outer layer, another carries as their Sun, their core identity. It creates a kind of mirror dynamic: you recognise something in each other that’s hard to name but very present. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re alike. Often it is that the elder contributed to who you became. It can also mean you reflect something back to each other, for better or for more complicated reasons.

AK and DK chain among siblings

A funny thing I noticed among some siblings though not all is that one AK will be the DK of another, and this second person may have their AK as the DK of another sibling and so on, as if it created a chain of AK and DK. Sometimes it is tied to a specific sibling who’s AK and DK I found in others siblings with their AK being the DK or their DK being the AK.

The family bonds can be explained by the shared nakshatras and planets carrying them, and houses may show larger themes in both natives’ lives.

And most noticeable when I get to know about the relation between relatives is that planets involved shape the nature of the bond. Shared nakshatra between Moon and Ascendant tends to correlate with emotional closeness and an almost instinctive understanding. Shared nakshatra between Saturn and Ketu often describes bonds that are more karmic, heavier, sometimes marked by distance or difficulty. The Saturn relative seems strict, serious, narrow or limiting, and very disciplinary to the relative sharing the same nakshatra of the Saturn person. Jupiter nakshatras shared between family members often point to a protective or teaching dynamic. Also often people have their Jupiter nakshatra coming from one of their father’s nakshatra, while often the Moon seems to come from one of the mother’s nakshatra. Mars can indicate friction with that person’s energy or role. Ketu is detachment.

The nakshatra is the link of the bond between two relatives and the aspects involved, and the planet tells you the how and what kind of relation.

Here are a few examples:

Ketu & Mercury : the Ketu person will feel detached or quite not interested in holding communication with Mercury native. The nakshatra will give the aspects and how it shows and the houses the area of it. It can also show in fraternal karmic bonds.

Saturn & Moon : the Saturn person feels heavy, restricting or sobering to the Moon native whose emotional warmth meets structure or coldness. The Moon person may feel judged or held back, yet also stabilised.

Mars & Saturn : the Mars person may enter conflict with the Saturn person because of their disciplinary nature regarding them. The Saturn person may feel the need to discipline the Mars person for their perceived recklessness, carelessness and impulsiveness and may judge them for that and be more strict.

Jupiter & Sun : the Jupiter person expands and encourages the Sun native’s identity, often a mentor or guiding figure. It can also inflate the ego of the Sun person if not balanced. Some similarities with Jupiter and Ascendant.

Jupiter & Rahu : interesting as it seems to show a mutual understanding and openness to the others perspective alongside reciprocity in guidance.

Mars & Venus : a classic pattern in couples involve strong attraction, sometimes unexplained especially if the other isn’t the typical ideal.

Jupiter & Venus : very present among married couples where Venus is the man’s nakshatra and Jupiter the woman’s nakshatra.

Venus & Ketu : here there’s a detachment from the Ketu person in the relationship. The Venus person does more than the Ketu and the Venus person may accept it for long and trying to improve the bond. In couples it is present in couples who ended up divorcing or separating, also in friendships that end after some time despite the Venus person effort. It is also an indicator of a past life karmic relationship.

Jupiter & Ketu : detachment of the Ketu’s native from the Jupiter’s authority which I’ve seen in several cases, myself included.

My personal exemple with Jupiter and Ketu :

I have Ketu in Uttara Ashada and my father has his Jupiter in Uttara Ashada. And I was very detached from his authority, like zero fear from him and quite unbothered whereas he had a strong authority on other family members. This karmic connection also shows in general that I’m detached from most authorities/seniors because of my Ketu placement too and won’t really listen to them and rather do my own thing. Uttara Ashada gives the native the ability to see everyone as equal, and in my case as it is in Ketu I’m detached from people status too and see everyone as equal and I got from my father a detachment from authority which in combination makes me as someone who doesn’t care about hierarchy as I see everyone as equal no matter their status. And funny thing I was discussing with one of my favourite guru, who I trust for his knowledge and accuracy, about my dashas and when I asked him about something completely different he also pointed that I was quite detached from authority and should be careful about it especially in certain dashas without me asking about it so it was nice to see him confirm it somehow.

A note on those who share very few nakshatras or none

It was interesting to see in the poll that some people shared no nakshatras with their family members or only one.

13% of respondents share no nakshatras with close family and 13% others only one.

❀ Having no nakshatra in common isn’t a lack of connection, it actually may point toward some karmic freedom. It’s more about an incarnation that is less bound to the collective family karma where the soul is on a more individual journey, or simply a cycle that is completing itself maybe through other persons and not the family members. Sometimes, it appears among people who live away from their family or don’t know them well and thus creating a life detached from them.

❀ Also, it doesn’t mean they won’t pass their own nakshatras forward to future descendants as they may still transmit their own karmic weight. The transmission just takes a different shape where a new nakshatra might become the new common thread especially if the family takes a new direction and where they might the core or source of this new family pattern.

The broader pattern

❀ What seems to emerge is something close to familial synastry so not just similarity, but a kind of interlocking system where each person carries a piece of the same energy, expressed through different planets and therefore different life experiences. The more nakshatras shared, the more the karmic threads are entangled. The fewer, the more autonomous the path. It’s like synastry and karma bound together.

❀ It also reflects that astrology doesn’t operate in isolation just like the constellations. We are born into a web that was already in motion, and our chart is in conversation with the charts around us from the very beginning. I also like to see it as a big tapestry where each chart is a thread or a new pattern.

Darakaraka is what you’re seeking in life

Karakas

Most people only look at Darakaraka to know about their spouse, when it’s actually about the kind of relationship we seek or the kind of partner we seek.

But have you ever thought about why we look at DK for spouse and relationships ?

It’s because Darakaraka is the planet or karaka with the lowest degree. Having a planet at the lowest degree means that the areas ruled by this planet are often the areas where you experience the most difficulty, so you’ll naturally tend to try to bring that karaka’s aspect into your life or seek a person who will. DK represents the area where we are the most lacking, which we are aware of, and we often admire people who are naturally good at it, so this is also an area where we are meant to learn something from in our life while also being something we seek as we lack of it.

I like to see it as our ‘Seeking’ planet, what we seek in life and people, what we are suggested to or drawn to.

To put it simply, Darakaraka is not just about the spouse; it reveals the qualities you unconsciously seek in relationships and what those connections teach you about yourself. It is where “the other” becomes a mirror. And we seek that mirror that will show us what we’re missing and how to bring it into our lives.

Often, when people do not have someone around them who embodies their DK, so a person with their DK planet at a very high degree usually AK or AmK, they will start to learn with difficulty at first to bring the elements of their DK in their life. It might be like an obsession with it or an ultimate dream or ideal to reach. Some people will seek it through their career or environment or certain pursuits or an ideal to embody, but many will first try to find someone who will complete them and balance them by bringing what they’re lacking and seeking. So that’s why we look at DK for the spouse as usually a spouse or soulmate is supposed to complete us.

It is also why people who have their AK (or sometimes AmK) as their partners DK and vice versa are seen as soulmates. It’s because they complete each other and bring what the other is seeking and missing.

To give you a personal example, I have Venus as my DK, and since Venus is about beauty, pleasure, art, I constantly tried to bring those aspects in my life. But Venus is also about relationships, emotional expression and harmony, and for me this is where the lesson lies. My DK Venus teaches me to be more open emotionally and in relationships, while also not being codependent or not idealise others. It also teaches me balance and harmony instead of going from an extreme to another and not just in relationships but in any area of my life.

My DK is in Chitra, the Artist nakshatra, and as I had not yet found someone to bring some Venusian qualities into my life, I sought to bring them in myself through art and creative endeavours but also through beauty and comfort and luxury which also enables me to meet people who embody some of those qualities. Though for me the accent on luxuries has been enhanced by another placement of mine involving Rohini. So I have a strong interest in things that combine those aspects and made sure to find ways to bring them into my life which was kinda difficult to do sometimes but always rewarding. Yet I still seek people or partners that embody that sense of beauty, refinement, harmony and comfort.

Beyond a romantic partner or a soulmate, the DK points to something deeper, a quality or energy we seek and aim for as part of our soul's journey.

And it makes sense that our AK and AmK, our biggest strengths and drive in my humble opinion, which represent our soul's purpose and the path to fulfil it, would naturally orient themselves toward what the DK represents, as if the three were working together to guide us toward wholeness.

Nakshatras in the divisional charts

People often say that nakshatras don’t matter and aren’t accounted for in divisional charts which isn’t completely true nor completely false.

Looking at nakshatras in others divisional chart is something much more nuanced.

In divisional charts, nakshatras are still calculated and it is for a reason. Why produce something useless if not for a reason, right ?

However in divisional charts, they aren’t meant to be used like in the main D1 chart. They enable you to see if a planet has a stronger influence in one of your planets in a specific area, an area ruled by the divisional chart it is found in.

So, if in one of your divisional charts, you find a same nakshatra of your D1 then the planet having this nakshatra has an influence on the planet in your D1 carrying this same nakshatra, in the area ruled by the divisional chart.

For exemple, if you have Sun Vishaka in your D1 and in your D10 Jupiter is also in Vishaka, then Jupiter holds a strong influence on your Sun regarding D10 areas which is career and professional endeavors and since Sun shows our personality, it means Jupiter influences your personality at work or your professional persona.

Likewise, the nakshatras in your divisional charts that don't match any nakshatra in your D1 won't influence it, but you still need to identify them first to know whether they create a connection or not ✨

Some love for Ashleshas…

I see many posts hating on Ashleshas as if they were the reason for any awful thing happening or any toxic behaviour, though it’s not the only nakshatra being the receiving end of such projected hate or disdain.

Usually, I don’t finish reading posts when the energy becomes negative, irrational, full of hatred and heavily so, and I encountered a lot of posts going this way last month. But I also encountered a lighter one which I could read fully and under this post, I wrote this in comments to share both an objective and subjective vision of them:

Ashlesha’s can be intense, they are intuitive, guarded, secretive and emotionally complex and they struggle to trust people so they can play mind games to test which can become quite toxic for them and others. But when they are emotionally mature and open, there’s no toxicity or mind game, no sudden withdrawal or lashing out. On the contrary, they can be wonderful to be around especially when they allow themselves to trust and be vulnerable, they can be quite healing for themselves and others. One of the person I admire was an Ashlesha moon [native] and I think she was a wonderful person and inspiration, seeking to empower and heal women. I learned a lot from her and still do through the memories she left and in which I find new wisdom. Ashlesha (especially moon as moon nakshatra is the most important to show someone’s essence) can be quite open and understanding but also supportive and have a lot of depth which can seem quite mystical or even psychic [from afar but also very enlightening].

When I see all those posts, I sometimes wonder if I’m not biased positively even though I have no Ashlesha placements myself. After all Mercury, which rules over Ashlesha, is my Kshema Tara, a key to what makes me personally happy by teaching me to find happiness by knowing my own inner world and by understanding my emotions instead of fighting them. So it might make me more open to its bright side instead of focusing on its shadow, but still I think that the tumblr community is a bit unfair towards them.. So I thought I might as well post something a bit more positive about them.

By the way, each nakshatra has its light and dark side not just Ashleshas 🤍
