In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.

think im starting to unironically fixate on the backrooms as a concept, i hate that its actually a really good articulation of a kind of creeping sense of malaise that feels like its been infesting basically everything around me for some time, cus like as it exists now in the minds of a lot of people theres still the association with like Shrek In The Backrooms and shit like The Backrooms Wiki Blue Entity or whatever, but the original concept of an endless maze of spaces without people, specifically the kind of spaces created by neoliberal capitalism like office and retail spaces, combined with the additional layers added by the new backrooms movie of like, memory and obsession and a disconnect with reality, its just so. ugh. its such a potent idea. it really is such a good way to convey that feeling. and i hate that! cus everyone thinks its embarassing baby stuff!! but its really interesting!!!
