pining is 100000% the most important aspect of pre-relationship fic for me. good-natured whole-hearted pining filled with lovelorn gazing and chest aching and fluttering touches, that’s my top priority. i was put on this earth to watch characters suffer over the profundity of their love for another person. unrequited love is why god made me. characters finding out that their feelings are reciprocated after long months/years of suffering is why the universe was assembled from nothingness. amen.

Established in 1775 Broadripple Academy has been a leader in elite boarding schools since it’s opening. Hidden away in country Massachusetts right by the small town of Nighmore, the isolated campus has worked to produce outstanding, hardworking, and talented citizens for over two centuries now. And according to it’s reputation: it always succeeds. Graduates of Broadripple Academy go on to study not only at the best universities in America, but the best in the world. However the halls seem to be haunted by something much darker. Stories of demons and an on-campus murder fuel every sleepover but how much of it is true?

Perhaps more than you’d think, there was a rumoured demonic possession on campus in 1987, leading to not one, not two, but three brutal murders. Shortly after the students returned to school after the winter break the campus was littered with signs of the Devil. Two boys were swiftly expelled for the graffiti and rumours of Broadripple’s and the nearby town of Nighmore’s dark history and influence have only grown since.
