so, i dunno if anyone gonna even read this (or even be interested oof)
but a while ago i was thinking about omegaverse
why does seemingly no one bother exploring the idea of trans caste people? i'm not sure if that's the term to go with, but i've seen the Alpha, Beta, Omega, etc, be refered to as caste, so that's the term i'm currently using for this concept.
in Omegaverse, the caste, (sometimes called "secondary genders" even) is societaly like gender
as in, you get assigned a certain identity you're expected to conform to, based on a biological trait you were born with (i know in bunch of fics you get assigned a caste after "presenting" as it, but this is like, a trait you happen to be born with, it just makes itself present later in your life? but that's not the case in all fics anyways, so-)
i refuse to believe there aren't any people there whatsoever whose identity does not match the "secondary gender" they got labelled as, and thus society expects them to be.
idk how to explain it, but being an Alpha, Omega, Beta or whatever, is viewed as your identity? if you get assigned Alpha, you're expected to act, present in a certain way. same goes for other castes. like, you're expected to view this as a part of your personal identity? just like gender
sorry for throwing reguri into this, but i can't get out of my head the idea of omegaverse reguri, where Red is assigned Alpha, but he doesn't really feel like that's him, y'know? even wishing he was born a different caste, to not be seen as Alpha by society
(maybe this feels too ooc for him, idk, sorry)
omega4omega reguri anyone?
