Had a great day working on my friend Sams R53 Mini Cooper S on Saturday. I love tinkering with cars to unwind. Shame I never get to do it these days...

Went for a walk at Kirkhill yesterday with Katie. A wonderful way to unwind and chill from the working week. Nothing beats being outside in 0degC chatting about anything and everything in life. Bliss
1973 Tyrrell 006 François Cevert
Not one to reblog stuff but I find this to be one of the most powerful images in Motorsport. An perfect example of a young man in his prime being taken too soon.
RIP Francois Cevert
Clean once again! For all of 5 minutes... Never buy a white car and use it through a British winter!
A hero of mine is Ayrton Senna. The worlds greatest racing driver. At this years Goodwood Festival of Speed there was a display of McLarens including one of Sennas.
I just had to capture this shot, despite security trying to stop me….and it is one of my favourites from the weekend
This guy was awesome. I met him at the Brooklands Motor/Aviation Museum last year on a trip with my dad and a close friend.
He had been in the RAF all his working life as ground crew and once he retired, he decided to keep on working on planes by volunteering to help restore their Spitfire. He was busy painting the wheel chocks (he sadly has started to lose the use of his hands and this was all he could manage) and I talked to him for a few minutes. A man with passion and fire in his belly. Hope we meet again some day
I love living where I do. We went a few miles out from home to Balmedie Beach yesterday, to run around the sand dunes.
There are loads of these pill box garrisons scattered along the beach. A little reminder of WW2 and what I was like in my area. It’s a crying shame that people disrespect these monuments by vandalising them with graffiti
Looking to get shot of the integra for a TDI MK4 Golf anniversary and I need to find a set of these to put on it!! Love a concave wheel design
Couple days before Christmas. Sam, Greig and I got the cars together. Much fun was had.

Tonight, I met one of my heroes. I met Magnus Walker. The legend behind the air cooled 911s over in LA.
He was kind enough to invite us into his sisters house where he was visiting family and we talked cars, family, business, life and numerous other subjects over the course of an hour, over a beer.
A truly inspirational man, that I look forward to meeting again sometime. Today has been an awesome day and I am incredibly lucky to have been welcomed with open arms.
He was more than happy to sign my copy of the new Speedhunters book featuring one of his 911s on the cover and even gave us a couple of free Urban Outlaw stickers too. They say never meet your heros but I say you most definitely should!
The only time I like my wheels is when they are fully polished and sealed. Two minutes later they look horrible again. Worth the effort though
The other toy 😁
My mates UR Quattro. Epic car and really need to get a proper photoshoot on the go for it! This was one of a few quick snaps I got when he first bought it.
One of my favourite photos from the last year. Took this last weekend after a walk by the local river. Katie was walking ahead to avoid some mud and the light was perfect, so I clicked the button and voila!
I made this video a few years ago to document a bit of the cars rebuild. So I hope you enjoy! I really need to do a 'finished' video sometime.....
Well, a new blog, needs a decent photo. So here is one of my Mini ‘Trig’
