I’m Katie but I also go by Batty and Muffin! I’m a second-generation American artist who loves pastels, colored tattoos, and has a giant lipstick collection. My current hyper-fixation is Star Wars! I wear crocs instead of slippers around the house, and I love to cuddle my munchkin cat, Toulouse! I’m going to be a graduate student come the fall, and will be majoring in Museum Studies.
once again thinking about "the lottery" by shirley jackson.
imagine there was a man in the story who went around giving speeches about the importance of the lottery as a tradition. He said the casualties were unfortunate, but also an inevitable price of freedom. Imagine he treated those who sought to end the senseless cycle of violence with condescension and derision, calling them idiotic, naïve, and diseased.
yet when that man was selected for the lottery and stoned to death, everyone mourned him and said how unfair it was that a bright young family man should die so soon. And when people pointed out that this man was killed by a system he adamantly defended and worked to perpetuate, they lost their jobs and were shunned from the community as insensitive and monstrous.
Imagine. Hypothetically. For no particular reason.

This took me forever to finish! I was gonna make this a series and make two more featuring Finn and Rey - first as children and then as adults - but this took so long I need a break!
My DinLuke and BobaCal babies. On the left is Bennie Djarin-Skywalker (formerly just Skywalker) and on the right is Arlo Kestis-Fett (formerly just Kestis). There’s a couple Big Stories behind the name changes but I’m always too tired to write them down. Arlo was born deaf and has auditory-assistants (my Star Wars name for hearing aids) and Bennie has a Port-wine Stain from her left elbow to her fingertips. They’re also besties.
Hello, my name is Mosab Elderawi, and I am trying to survive.
I never thought I would have to ask strangers for help, but I lost 25 family members in a single attack.
💔 My mother is gone. My sisters are gone. My nieces, my uncles—taken away in an instant.
💔 Our home was destroyed completely.
💔 We have been displaced twice, moving from place to place, trying to find shelter.
Even after everything, I refuse to give up.
🏠 My younger siblings still have dreams. I want to help them hold onto hope, even when everything feels impossible.
🙏 But right now, we have nothing. No home. No stability. No certainty about what happens next.
I am asking for help, not because I want to, but because I have no choice.
Even $5 could bring us a step closer to stability. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for giving us hope.

I’m back with more codywan My Big Fat Greek Wedding AU! I tried my hand at “Frump” Cody and “Glowup” Cody.
"Frump" Cody:
His hair is wild, frizzy, and giving 'overgrown shrub' energy.
He wears baggy clothes because that was how he 'hid' himself from bullies growing up. Think: "I'm just trying to disappear" so his clothes look like they're constantly trying to swallow him whole.
His glasses are crooked and always smudged thanks to him constantly losing his microfiber cloths.
"Glowup" Cody:
Has an undercut with more manageable curls on top. He actually puts in an effort to style and keep them looking nice. (I tried to draw an undercut, but I'm not sure I succeeded.)
Wears better fitting clothes that compliment his body type (trim, but not super fit. Think: 'eats well and walks regularly so he doesn't necessarily have to go to the gym').
He wears contacts, but is still squeamish over the idea of touching his eyes to put them in. He no longer has to keep buying microfiber cloths though, so he makes his peace with it.
Mohamad has lost so much and now he’s drowning in debt trying to keep his sister and her five kids safe. He needs our help to bring them to safety and start anew.
We’re 28% of the way there (€5,609/€20,000). Every euro counts. Every share matters. Regardless of his name, skin color, or religion—this is about humanity.

I haven’t finished The Bad Batch yet, but I’ve seen a bunch of fanart of Boba and Omega as big brother and little sister and I love it tbh. I remember being little and having a younger sibling could be a pain in the tuchus sometimes. But my brother and I are friends now, so I guess there’s hope for Boba and Omega. Oh, and Jango 100% took the picture.
We don't even know anymore. Khaled, my little one, has started pronouncing the word "bombing," and it terrifies me.
I’m not here to beg or list every detail—because even an entire newspaper wouldn’t be enough. The images on TV screens and the stories you see online already tell you so much about what we endure. But no matter how much you see, you’ll never truly feel what we feel. And I wouldn’t wish this life on anyone.
We are victims of conflicts we never chose. We love life—deeply, desperately—as long as we’re allowed to live it. We don’t want war, we don’t want destruction. All we want is a future. A future for ourselves, for our children—a future like every other human being deserves.
How You Can Help
In this moment of despair, I reach out to you—not just as a stranger, but as a fellow human being. Our humanity connects us, and compassion knows no boundaries. Your kindness, no matter how small, can bring a glimmer of hope to our lives, shattered by war.
Here’s what we’re trying to rebuild:
💔 $5,000 for the father.
💔 $5,000 for the mother.
💔 $2,500 for Khaled.
💔 $2,500 for Intesar.
The rest will go toward essential living expenses—because there’s no safety net here, no hospitals, no medicine, no healthy food.
Our baby has been sick countless times, and every evacuation has only made things worse. We need help to survive, to heal, and to dream of a better tomorrow.

Even a Little Means Everything
We appreciate your help, even if it’s just a small donation or simply sharing our story. Every bit of support matters. Together, we can rebuild what’s been taken from us and find hope amidst the rubble.
Hello, My name is Mosab, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income.
📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive.
😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $10 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude,
Mosab and Family ❤️
