a lot of conversations surrounding the morality of everyone in wicked would make more sense if more people understood two things:

1. Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship prior to Ozdust was built on mutual jealousy and admiration.

2. Glinda’s tragic ending isn’t because she chose the Wizard, it’s because wanted to choose Elphaba but didn’t until it was too late

(and yes there’s a difference in the instances in #2, bcs that is why elphaba suffers a tragic end too. everybody in wicked’s fate is because they keep denying themselves of the things they truly want in an attempt to fit a mold/do ‘good’ - including elphaba)

i come back to this like once a week just to look at it and feel a deep pain in my chest. one of my favourite fan arts ever

and let me just say, a lot of people are mad about some fans saying only geto cared for gojo beyond him being the strongest and i GET why they’re upset but…it’s true! (at least in a sense, hear me out)

and it’s not that the other characters don’t have any connection to him or don’t love/care for him, but it’s just like in that one panel. (with him alone, and everyone saying well. he’s the strongest). even to Yuta, Gojo is (was) ‘The Strongest’. even when they (yuji and yuta specifically) acknowledged that the burden was heavy and that he shouldn’t have to bear it alone, at the end of the day, gojo’s identity as the strongest was paramount, because they all, in some way or form, depend/depended on him!!! even when yuta gained the strength to be his ‘equal’ it didn’t matter because gojo is still a ‘guiding force’ he is still someone everyone defers to.

with geto, it’s not that their identity as the strongest didn’t matter, because it did, it really did. it’s that geto never allowed himself to be dependent on gojo the way everyone else did (even though he should’ve at times, esp emotionally). being the strongest/sorcery itself was a thread that tied them together, not something that elevated and alienated gojo the way it did for everyone else. again. even when they had the power (yuta) or the naivety (yuji) or the connection (megumi) that saw gojo as more than his strength, gojo’s identity/strength was still something, in the end, that placed him apart. not tied them together.

additionally. i’ve seen people say geto was jealous of gojo’s strength because of the ‘are you the strongest because you’re gojo satoru or are you gojo satoru because you’re the strongest’. and i don’t think that’s entirely accurate. it was a genuine question. (one that’s still plays a part now. because yuta wins after he takes over gojo’s body, is he gojo just because he’s the strongest? yuta loses after taking over gojo’s body, is he the strongest because he’s gojo satoru? sukuna, as a plot device asking us, does it even matter? they’ve all abandoned their morals and identity at this point anyway, so does it matter???) which brings me back to my point, we’ve seen that when faced with gojo getting stronger geto and his burdens increases, geto doesn’t respond with the steadfastness most do. he responds with worry. (‘you were planning on staying up awake all night again?’). because!!! gojo’s strength, while integral to gojo himself, and a cornerstone of their dynamic, is never something alienating to geto! it isn’t something that geto depended on, so he can afford to worry about gojo where others don’t.

and that’s why i believe when persons go, hey, nobody loved or cared for gojo like geto, well…they’re right!

and this is why I always cackle when jjk "readers" promote their ahem headcanons (they fully believe it too, oh my days) about gojo and his students being a "family" because yeah, gojo's sons and daughters who were planning to use his body before it was even cold!!! his children who love him so much that they came up with a plan to ensure he serves as a weapon for jujutsu society's needs and survival even when he is no longer breathing!!! he cannot outlive his usefulness!!! how absolutely confident his spawn are in their adoptive father winning!!! everyone cares for him so much, right?

i’ve seen people calling this bad writing but this is genuinely a very narratively strong decision from gege. because of course. of course gojo’s body is being used as a weapon. of course yuta literally has to fill the void gojo left. of course, despite gojo and nanami (and even geto), wanting sorcerers to grow up and to not suffer, it’s a cycle. of course. because no matter how many battles they win or lose, it!! does!! not!! matter!! they’re fucked. every single sorcerer is/has been fighting within a system that chews them up and doesn’t even give them the grace of spitting them back out. no ones personal wishes or ambitions even matter, not even the strongest, especially not the strongest now that i’m thinking about it, because it’s a marathon with a pile of corpses at the end. no one person can fix it.

makes you want to get up and dance, it feels like a celebration (the whole album does tbh)

Worth It by Raye (Album : My 21st Century Blues)

fun, bouncy, puts you in a great mood (she’s my favourite ‘new’ artist, this album is genuinely a work of art)

Dive by NCT DoJaeJung (Album : Perfume)

slower, relaxing, something you’d drive with the windows down to (a 10/10 album too)

Cranes In The Sky by Solange (Album : A Seat At The Table)
