We need money to pay a few bills. I just got a job but my paycheck will be coming in too late. Not to mention the fact that i have rent to pay. Please please please help.
We are 3 disabled trans men, with a bird, in a shitty apartment in bumfuck texas. I lost my job due to chronic pain, and have been looking all month and finally just got accepted at a daycare. My fiancé has been applying but is still unemployed, and my roomate cant work due to also being physically disabled.
I know i have made a lot of donation posts, but i havent gotten many donations and we are really struggling. Due to the few people who donated last time, we were able to buy groceries, meds, and pay off some bills, but we haven't gotten any more support since.
I cannot afford another overdraft fee, And this apartment is the only thing keeping all 3 of us from being homeless. Please. I at least need 50$ to be able to pay for my fingerprints to be taken, so i can go to work.
0/850$

Whatever you think of the music Imagine Dragons are exmormon and the lead singer is a huge donor to LGBT groups in Utah. His like sole political cause is like fighting the astronomically high lgbt youth suicide here in Utah. I fucking hate this webbed site
yeah, this tweet thread fucking sucks.
1. i donât like Imagine Dragonsâ music and i think it is arguable that much of itâs a commercial product, but their members are, as stated above, more or less ex-Mormon.
the lead singer, Dan Reynolds, has discussed his active struggle with his faith and the cult of Mormonism. leaving a cult--especially one that practices shunning--is extremely difficult and can take years. and yet, despite this, heâs made it his mission to help combat issues affecting the LGBT+ community, including conversion therapy, LGBT+ youth suicide, and LGBT+ homelessness.
he has been a consistent and active ally to the point that he has an annual music festival called Loveloud that is dedicated to raising awareness about LGBT+ issues, featuring and promoting LGBT+ artists, and raising money for several charities. he has also donated his own money to LGBT+ organizations and gave his $1 million childhood home to Encircle, an LGBT+ advocacy group in Utah.
the guitarist, Wayne Sermon, has also given talks at conferences dedicated to assisting Mormons in leaving the cult and healing from their trauma.
2. the Lumineers have a history of holding shows solely so they can donate all profits to various charities and causes, including Planned Parenthood in Texas after Republican efforts to defund PP, Dakota Access Pipeline protestors, and LGBT+ charities in North Carolina following the passing of anti-LGBT+ legislation. a lot of their music that doesnât make it to the radio focuses on issues like poverty, the working class, addiction, and trauma.
3. Marcus Mumford has explicitly stated that he doesnât actually identify as a Christian, despite using Christian imagery in some of his songs. a personâs parents being Evangelical conservatives should not be an indictment on them. he and the other band members also kicked out their guitarist when he started spewing alt-right talking points and supporting Andy Ngo. iâm still not totally sure i trust his politics--he strikes me as pretty centrist--but good lord, heâs not an Evangelical.
do yâall not realize that youâre allowed to dislike music for purely surface level reasons? like that it doesnât have to be that itâs made by terrible people--you can just seriously not like how it sounds?
making up bullshit theories where you falsely charge people--especially people actively fighting for progress--with being part of some kind of conservative religious extremist conspiracy theory to justify âi donât like how they soundâ is fucking awful and appalling. go outside.
Toxic positivity culture and itâs relation to capitalism is sinister and exhausting, but I do not tolerate imagine dragons slander. Their music may not be the best quality wise, but because of how much they do for LGBTQ+ Mormon youth, a suffering minority who is greatly abused and ignored, I will always have beef with imagine dragon haters.
If you pick any Mumford & Sons song at random and listen to the lyrics, it's hard to find one where it isn't obvious that the Christian imagery is being used with a sense of spite.
In a few songs, it becomes clear that not only is he not evangelical, but the use of religious imagery is a way of processing religious trauma from having been raised in an evangelical household:
"I wrestled long with my youth / We tried so hard to live in the truth / But do not tell me all is fine / When I lose my head, I lose my spine" â Hopeless Wanderer
"And I was still / But I was under your spell / When I was told by Jesus all was well / So all must be well" â Below My Feet
"So crawl on my belly 'til the sun goes down / I'll never wear your broken crown / I took the road, and I fucked it all away / Now in this twilight, how dare you speak of grace?" â Broken Crown
So, whatever point sickle and hammer verified is trying to make here, they're doing it very poorly.

core classes as undead :)
"Itâs often unhealthy to hyper-analyze your sexuality to the point where how you experience it changes where you belong. This is why the idea that broader terms are somehow more restrictive is baffling. Continuously breaking labels down and creating terminology for each facet of oneâs identity shrinks communities until itâs just one person convinced that theyâre the only one who relates to their experiences. It isolates people and ignores the importance of individuality within a collective identity."
