These are smocking patterns. If you stitch these patterns into flat fabric and then pull the threads to gather the fabric, it will produce these patterns on the finished fabric. Smocking manipulates flat fabric into three dimensions.
The beautiful fabric that looked like dragon scales on costumes in the tv show Game of Thrones were produced by smocking, by sewing a particular pattern into the fabric and then pulling those threads just the right amount to gather the fabric into that pattern.
i’m so glad earth only has one moon, if there were more i’d have to pick a favorite and that sounds too emotionally taxing to even fathom

You are not unlovable
you are not broken
you are not a failure
your brain chemicals are just messed up. you're doing amazing, don't let the dark thoughts possess you.

i thought i put this in my drafts so i could keep reminding myself that there isn't anything wrong with me besides my brain chemicals being off-balanced and im a little embarrassed but im glad other people can relate. so yeah fuck depression and whatever mental illness you have, you're doing amazing
a second bumblebee has hit the twin flowers
Actually my favorite replacement for both 'kill myself' jokes and jokes about reacting violently to things/people that upset me is "I'm going to end up on the news" like it's versatile, it's vague, it's not going to get me in trouble with any censors or websites that take joke threats seriously, it's family friendly while still getting the point across, what's not to love???
If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
Oh hey! Haven’t seen this in forever! Didn’t reblog it when it came across me before, not gonna skip it this time, I need some good vibes.
do ppl still love unconditionally and endlessly or is that not cool anymore
Get over the shame and the lack of confidence and the fear of failure and the imposter syndrome. Nobody cares. Some people are cruel and mean and love to watch others fail. So what? Do you really want to prove them right? Get the fuck up, we’re chasing our dreams like our lives depend on it because, in case you forgot, they do.
hot artists don't gatekeep
I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Homie gonna share this
Just so we’re all clear, it is okay to miss people you no longer want in your life.
this is so important
some people genuinely have trouble with never being told this. i am reblogging this post in case that includes any of you in my audience.
You’re missing the memories, not the person them self
You miss the person you thought they were, not who they turned out to be, and that’s okay.
Sometimes you just miss the person you were around them, or the things that happened when you were with them, and you don’t really miss them, and that’s okay, too.
im going to start compiling all the shitty booktok videos i find except theyre on reels bc i suck
Why did they get put in the Panopticon
thought that was the funniest way to point them out
lots of times if I tell my boyfriend that I am proud of him for dealing with a situation, or that I'm sorry he's having to deal with a situation, he will say "no it's my own fault." meaning that he feels like he doesn't deserve praise or comfort for dealing with a situation that is his fault. (for example a financial problem caused or exacerbated by him having been too anxious or absentminded to deal with the situation sooner.) and I tell him this and I will tell y'all this, that I don't believe that. I think you are even braver and stronger for taking steps to deal with a mess that is of or partly of your own creation, because you have to cope with guilt and shame on top of the thing itself, and because you're fighting against the same ingrained dysfunction in yourself that caused the mess. that's like the bravest and most constructive thing you can do and you should be proud and I am proud of you.
also, mistakes don't mean you deserve to suffer
