Call for Answers
So ino89777 aka Telephone, that famous fursuiter you see everywhere, well, she makes suits too, and she’s darn good at it.
But…
My friend ordered one of her fursona back in March, and was told it was doable, but certain things would have to be changed/couldn’t be done. She was willing to be ok with that since Telephone does good work.
Months pass. she misses her Anthrocon deadline. More months pass. It’s looking like she’ll be missing the Furpocalypse deadline too, while in the meantime cranking out even more suits.
I managed to persuade my friend to go with an easier partial of a penguin to match her husband’s suit, Buzzy. It was less work for Telephone, just a head and the feetpaws, and less money for my friend who could no longer really afford a full from her.
Now apparently she’s purchased local fur after my friend requested she use fur from an online website so I can match her bodysuit. and is not answering her texts on Skype.
I don’t know Telephone personally, and I’m sure she’s a nice person, a good suit maker for sure, and generally all around good guy who does what she can with what she’s given. But this is wrong. This is unacceptable. My friend has anxiety issues and is stressing so much she’s always near tears when we talk about this. She just wants to suit and have fun like the rest of the fursuiters in the world. It should not be a punishment to have to put up with treatment like this just because she happened to choose a very popular fursuit maker.
So all I’m asking is…ino, why? What is going on in your life right now that would make you put off and put off my friend’s commission for so long? Why didn’t you just refund her if you didn’t want to do it? And why are you apparently being so sketchy about someone else doing the fullsuit now? That never would have happened byt the way if you’d just oh, idk, MET HER DEADLINE.
I hate to say it but she might think she can get away with this because she is so famous and well known and have this swept under the rug. My friend is very sweet and doesn’t like to make trouble. Well, I can be sweet, but I can be spicy too, especially when it comes to my friends being wronged. I don’t care about the backlash. I just want to know why this is happening and what can be done to make it better.
My friend is going to have a fursuit by October. end of story. No matter what I have to do to ensure that happens.
