I am Cleo!

I am 21 years old. my birthday is in march.

My favorite color is light blue, but sometimes it’s purple.

I’m 6 foot, 3 inches tall.

I live in the greater Houston area in Texas.

I work as an audio engineer/stage hand for a concert venue in downtown Houston.

I find it easier to relate to people who are several years older than me, which is why I only have one friend that’s my age.

I have dark brown hair, and light brown eyes.(i think.)

my favorite things are: my friends, music, my synthesizers, fossils, stars, camping, the TV show Columbo.

I don’t like how much I use social media but I lack the strength to cut it off. or at least i lack the other things to fill the void. i’m not sure yet.

i’m learning how to play the banjo :) i’m also learning how to love my niece. she’s 3, and i don’t talk to her parents. but she visits my parents’ house every friday, and she always knocks on my door and asks me to play songs for her. i know how to love her. i’m putting intentionality in action this year. doing things with a purpose.

contemplating entering a phase where i walk around a crowded city and just ask random people off the street if they want to go on a date

this is what i dreamt on my first night home. a city, with no name and yet so familiar. i’d been there before, and known it well. a church, busy and bustling. myself and one person who i know and love well. i never see their face but i know who it is. there’s books. shelves all down this alleyway outside the church lined with books. all kinds of books, and i can’t read.

we walk this alley together and share this time and throughout all of it i’m too scared to admit that i can’t read. we come across one shelf, with one book in particular that i pick up and i realize that i can read this one. as soon as i start to read it, the sky breaks open and a storm hits us with a vengeance. the book that i was so excited to read is ruined. drowned with force. the other books on these shelves are also ruined. i cannot look in their direction, and so i run. i run down this alley and my feet slap against the pavement and it’s loud and my feet hurt. they hurt so badly and i cannot stop running.

i love that over the past year or so i’ve had confidence in every single emotion. never once have i gone “do i really feel this?” because i can tell so deeply in my core that it’s all real. i know how real it is because it hurts so bad.
