the hot chocolate enjoyer when you ask where all the milk is going so fast:
i’ve seen this user post this photo as a sort of reaction image a couple times now and it makes me laugh every time. because this is the incredibly elusive marbled cat and they really do just have a tendency to look so pitiful, guilty, and empty in the head. so here’s some more photos of them looking like there’s just one marble bouncing around their skull:
Trying to come up with a nostalgic media rec is like:
thing whose humour has aged poorly
thing whose humour was honestly kind of shit even when it was new, but you were too young to pick up the subtext
thing that was life-changing in its exact contemporary circumstances and incomprehensible outside of them
thing that's an inferior knock-off of a different thing
thing that's actually an unwitting conflation of poorly remembered fragments of several other things
thing that moves anyone you show it to to remark that it explains some things about you
thing where revisiting it prompts a profound sense of alienation as you realise it's no longer relatable to you
thing where revisiting it prompts a jarring revelation that this is probably why you have that one specific kink
thing that you swear "gets good" if you give it a chance
i love this guy
No copypasta has ever ruined my life as comprehensively as Hell Fuck Castle. I write tabletop RPGs, and now every time I read a lore blurb about an ancient ruined kingdom where everything was cool until the last ruler fucked it up, my brain whispers "King Big Sad Guy, who did the Flame Thing".
This one?
Indeed, though that's not the source – as far as I'm aware, the original author is the owner of a now-defunct Tumblr blog called @animedads, who wrote it way back in 2016. You can find an archived copy of the original post on the Wayback Machine:

(Note that the Reddit copypasta version is missing the "Dubious Grandma" attribution, which for my money is one of the best parts!)
wish we could talk about feminism or especially transfeminism without feeling crazy. because its not crazy. but whenever we talk about it we feel like we're putting on our tinfoil hats and ranting on the streets.
we can't even say "i hate men" without having to explain TO OTHER WOMEN that no, we don't hate every individual man on the planet, we hate the class man and the system men made for themselves that dominates the place we live in. in the same way that we have to tell other women that misandry is not a systemic force, and hating what men as a class of people and the patriarchy they made does not a misandrist make
and then WE feel bad because we made others uncomfortable by talking about injustice!
Its absolutely insane how much backsliding the public consciousness has intentionally done over the last couple years alone in regards to feminism. Like, all of these things were basic feminist concepts that most people anywhere left of center understood and accepted as late as 2024. Y'all remember the "would you rather encounter a strange man in the woods or a bear" question? That whole thing happened just two fucking years ago!

Seeing a bunch of writing posts lately like “it’s okay if you only wrote a couple hundred words today :))”
As someone with a full time job, diverse hobbies, and a commitment to proper rest/self care, I would amend that. It’s okay if you don’t write anything at all on MOST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. You’re still a writer if you’re passionate about creating stories and putting words on paper when time allows. Life is busy and full of possibility, and that’s beautiful, actually. Kill the hypercapitalist productivity demon in your head.
They’re the greatest couple of all time actually
Every time you go in a public place and something ISN’T disgusting it’s because somebody cleaned it. Every time you feel comfortable using a public bathroom or sitting at a restaurant table or setting something on a gas station counter or playing on a playground it’s because somebody cleaned it.
Thank you to everyone who cleans the world, especially those who are underpaid and under appreciated.
I worked in a supermarket for 7 years and I don't think I can understate just how much cleaning you had to do for it to look clean (it very often where not in the places you aren't supposed to see)
True for food service, retail establishments, gyms, outdoor areas, schools, religious buildings, office buildings, etc. People usually only notice when a space is NOT clean, meanwhile every time a space is clean it’s only because of the diligent work of janitors, maintenance staff, custodians, parks workers, or volunteers.
idk i think Road to Empress 2 is an extremely fantastic piece of character writing for a strong, ruthless, and morally ambiguous female character, but there is something so deeply tragic about the fact that the two men who loved her so much couldn't fully trust her
