I’ve had the Winter Soldier on the brain for ages and while I’m still a bit rusty I do like how this turned out. Who knows, I may elaborate on this later if it does well! Happy birthday Mary! His scent roused you from sleep before you ever heard a sound.
Curled up under a thin wool blanket on the concrete floor, your sore body protested as you sat up and stretched, and you became immediately aware of how warm you felt despite the cold. Sweat made your unwashed hair cling to your forehead, worsened by his scent which was growing stronger and thicker in the air the longer you sat on the floor in the light of the moon.
He was close.
