Surfboard - Holds memories of Skylar dropping in and riding the glassiest waves in Sulani.

Mt Komorebi Picture - Memento of the family's cherished experience living abroad in Mt. Komorebi. Purchased at the Festival of Snow.

Breadbox - Hammond's family bread box has survived 3 generations and is home to the best PB&J supplies.

Lamp - August's favorite flea market find. Served as a reliable companion throughout many of his late night college cram sessions.

Trunk - Has served the Hammond family for multiple generations, keeping their goods and belonging safe and sounds as they trot the globe.

Bonsai - August studied under a Bonsai master during their time in Mt Komorebi and now *he hones his defoliation skills on this prized shrub.

introducing...the storybook legacy challenge!

a 5-generation legacy challenge inspired by the children's books we grew up on!

once upon a time, i wanted a legacy challenge that felt like a children's book; one continuous, simple story where every generation is its own chapter. so, i made one! as a follower milestone gift for you lovely people! 🙂‍↕️

each of the five gens is inspired by a beloved children's book character. it starts in a tiny, flour-dusted kitchen with a sweet, literal-minded founder, and - five generations later - ends in a funky, fancy, frilly, over-the-top mansion. and so much more along the way!

the five chapters:

🥧 gen one (amelia bedelia): the clumsy, well-intentioned homemaker who bakes their love into everything around them.

📣 gen two (junie b. jones): the loud, funny, opinionated one who decides the world needs to hear what they have to say.

🎻 gen three (chrysanthemum): the shy, late-bloomer who finds their voice in music.

🔮 gen four (matilda): the quiet bookworm whose sharp mind leads them to discover something magical about themselves.

💎 gen five (fancy nancy): the fabulous, fancy one who gives the whole legacy its glittering final bow.

each generation comes with traits, aspirations, careers, hobbies, child counts, little gameplay prompts, etc. - plus a "how to play" note reminding you to slow down, take pictures, and let the game surprise you!

hi, friends!! i just made my very first youtube video on my sims youtube channel, misotrait! you can find the video here! my goal was for it to be perfect background noise for simming - i love having these types of videos on while i'm building or spending time in cas, so i got inspired to make one myself!

it's a speedbuild of me decorating (part of) the dooley family kitchen - i did the first half off-cam because i forgot i was planning on filming 🤡 the original lot is by @grishulyasims!

whose your top three favourite original characters and why?

that’s such a good question! right now, the dooley kiddos are my favorite!! just from the little bit i’ve been able to play with them (i’m still working on furnishing their home and world-building/family-tree-building for them) i’m already starting to see their personalities come out through their autonomous choices, and it’s so cute to see!

robin is very bossy, always think she knows what’s best, very aries energy, lol. she does have a heart of gold, though - she never lets anyone mess with her or anything she cares about. she’s also the most out of the three to get “easily distracted and distracts others” on her school report card, lol. she was actually part of the inspiration for me adding the junie b. jones generation to my storybook legacy challenge! i also love her relationship with her best friend, mandy moss, who i haven’t posted yet, but am planning to soon! between you and me (and everyone else reading this post lol) i think i’m going to have mandy be her love interest when they’re older! 🤭

i love poppy because she’s such a cute little gumdrop, she’s so curious and independent and i just love watching her waddle around and explore things. she looks just like her dad, and i love that, since the older girls favor their mom more! i can’t wait to see how her personality evoles as she gets older!

and i think clementine is the coolest because she’s so well-rounded! she’s a piano lover and a media geek (she’s on tech crew for the drama club) but she’s also friends with some of the football players and cheerleaders at san sequoia high school. her best friend samantha crabtree is also in the same boat, and i just love their friendship and their vibe together. and i love seeing her bicker with robin, because it reminds me of how my little sister and i used to annoy each other when we were younger 🙈

i’m going to have a really hard time deciding on the heir, for sure!! but i have a ton of time until then, i’m trying to take it slow ☺️ thank you for asking!!
