Obligatory Re-Introduction Writeblr Post
Hello! My name is Naomi.
This blog used to be called CabaretOfWords. I used to be pretty active around here, then I wasn't, then I thought that if I deleted everything and started over that might motivate me to use it again. It didn't. Buying a new notebook isn't always the cure.
This is me, strolling back in, hands behind my back and whistling in a non-suspicious way.
About me:
I am 28
I write stuff - hopefully
I have a few chronic health issues that mean sometimes I;m too tired to write stuff
I also have ADHD
My cat is the best cat (IMO)
While I have many novel Ideas, some I even started and abandoned at some point, I am currently working on just one!
Salt & Starships
She is a sci-fi adventure novel about A pirate, a cyborg and a space-cruise-ship worker who get stranded together in a little spaceship in the middle of uncharted space-waters and have to work together to not get captured by the forces that be, for, among other things, destroying the cruise-ship.
Salt & Starships is a space-adventure with a fun cast and some silly world building that I am having a great time planning.
I'm using the Snowflake method for the first time, to plan out my story.
I also write short stories and one of my goals for 2025 is to edit one and get it published in a journal or magazine.
I have one story published from a random competition. It's short and about climate anxiety.
