Boy do I miss teaching ballet! This little student of mine, Avery, is talented beyond her years! In this #TBT video she is doing pique turns and in the upper right corner picture we are both doing an arabesque! Ballet is one of the hardest things to master and it has taken 14 years of training to be at the level I am today! You'll see both of these moves in my talent piece on the #MissAmerica stage! 👑🤗 Here are some quick tips for any level of dancer: 1. With pique turns, you reach from the hip with your leg and your knee MUST be straight! 2. With an arabesque, your shoulders are down, back is straight making a 90 degree angle with the leg, both knees straight and of course point your toe! 3. You could say I was a tad bit excited to be in Florida for the first night of MAOT prelims, so much that I forgot to post my #tipstuesday! I have several fresh meals that I LOVE like veggie stir fry or my turkey bacon and egg white sandwich but when I'm on the go those can be a bit difficult to make. Having convenient food that can power you throughout your day is important!
