firm believer that in a universe where gabe lives, henry is terrified of him the first time they meet. natalie finally brings him home and suddenly he’s being absolutely stared down by a guy with the biggest doe eyes he’s ever seen, and it really shouldn’t be scary because gabe does so with a smile, but it feels like he’s under a microscope. gabe is examining him, gazing into his very soul. he’s not trying to come off as terrifying, but he does. then natalie says something and gabe looks away from henry to answer, and henry feels like he can breathe again.
‘your brother is scary,’ he tells her when gabe isn’t listening.
natalie is a bit startled by that. ‘what do you mean?’
‘i dunno, he’s just…’ henry trails off and shrugs, glancing at gabe with a little frown.
after the initial fear dies down, henry realizes that he does actually enjoy gabe’s company. they get along well and gabe loves to share embarrassing stories about his younger sister, which henry thinks is adorable. (he still gets spooked by those eyes sometimes, when he catches gabe in the hallway late at night or early in the morning, or sees him when he’s bringing nat home some nights.) and gabe is almost completely unaware of this.

i love him. and he very much earned his tony. and he decided to use his acceptance speech to advocate for people who need their voices. and that’s fucking beautiful.
and the fact that the lost boys account uploaded his speech and then proceeded to take it down… how other’s in the industry are trying to censor his speech…
that’s fucking crazy.
to my knowledge (and by my knowledge i mean what i’ve seen of him) ali is a person who has always spoken his mind about matters, it’s not new! we can allow scott rudin, an abuser, win tony’s and continue his work and yet we silence the voice of someone who wants to advocates for those who are voiced to be silent.
fucking insane.
and i would like to preface, i’m not here to be political! because everyone does have and is entitled to their opinions! the content of his speech could upset people, what he supports and speaks for could upset people, because we are all entitled to what we believe. but it’s the censorship that is truly disgusting to me.
