Lift your heads up and look around this locker room. Look at everybody else in here. And I want you to be grateful that you’re going through this sad moment with all these other folks. Because I promise you, there is something worse out there than being sad, and that is being alone and being sad. Ain’t nobody in this room alone.
TED LASSO APPRECIATION WEEK DAY 3: FAVORITE QUOTE
[Video description: a collaborative Tiktok
On the top half, there's five different people who have stitched the video as different fantasy creatures or adventurers sitting in a tavern and singing along to "Soldier, Poet, King" by the Oh Hellos. All of them are in full costume.
On the lower half, a man in modern clothing stares in shock, with the caption "middle aged man who walked through a portal behind a burger king"
End of description]
His shirt reads "Feed Ted Cruz to a bear" btw
He also sings along with the chorus with everyone else, while still looking baffled.
last night like 4am I still couldn’t sleep so I wrote a song while tired as death. will probably take this down tomorrow when better judgement sets in.
If you projected more I would put this on my music library
please refer to mitski.bandcamp.com for songs where i am projecting more

I’m losing it🤯🤯 The original A Burning Hill demo right here on tumblr. I feel like I’m looking at a delicate ancient scroll with sacred information or an original painting by a renaissance artist that must be preserved for all that time.

why would I deactivate when I can watch three hundred thousand people think they’re clever for knowing about text wrapping

What do you call this flakey flatbread? I think almost every culture has a version of it! We call is Sabayad. Today I ventured a bit away from tradition and made mine with some Cilantro and Garlic Butter but if you would like the original Sabayad recipe, just use regular vegetable oil instead! For the Dough: 2 cups of flour 1 cup of hot water 1 pinch salt 1/2 tsp baking powder 3 tbsp oil For the garlic butter: 1/2 cup melted salted butter 2 tbsp garlic paste 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 1 tsp Italian seasoning For instructions on how to make the sabayad, watch the video saved in my highlights 😉 Also this makes 4 pieces, perfect for 2. If you want to make more just double the recipe! Few notes: You will knead the dough really well. I put mine in the stand mixer and had it going for about 5-6 minutes until the dough was really smooth. Since it's in cup measurements, you may need to adjust with more flour or water to form a smooth dough depending on how much you pack your cup. I recommend spooning the flour into the cup and then scraping off the excess with a knife. I use the 3tbsp of oil in the dough after it has started to really take shape, it helps things get less sticky. So if you're kneading by hand it'll help the dough from sticking to your hand as you knead. And if you are using a stand mixture, it'll help the dough come off the bowl and stick less Cook each piece at medium to medium low heat. Each side will take about 2 or 3 minutes or until it is golden in color. Dont let the pan get too hot or the sabayad will burn before it is fully cooked inside

Look, I’m not one for rarepairs but I’m just saying: there’s something truly poetic about a character whose entire career revolves around being able to ask questions without judgement and a character who was underestimated his whole life by people who never cared to ask him anything. And about that first press conference, where every single journalist was thinking the whole thing was a joke but only one was bold enough to actually ask. And about how he paid attention to everything to the point where he was the first one to turn around and cheer for this random american who everyone was happy hating. And about how by being curious instead of judgemental he actually came to respect the man so much he threw his own career away to be truthful
this is in perfect iambic meter and sounds like the first line of a weird poem
Rule #2
Don’t ever hug a lobster when you see one on the street,
For decorum is essential when a lobster you must greet.
You may comment on the weather, compliment his choice of hat,
But crustaceans like their space if one should stop them for a chat.
Don’t ever hug a lobster when you’re strolling down the coast,
Simply nod and give a greeting, or a handshake at the most,
For a lobster’s first priority is formal social graces,
And one seemes over-familiar if a lobster one embraces.
Don’t ever hug a lobster when you meet one in the sea,
For a lobster’s spines and chitin make it difficult, you see,
And he might become self-conscious if you bring that fact to light,
So don’t ever hug a lobster, simply put, it’s impolite.

how does not getting the vaccine harm others? if others are vaccinated then they have nothing to worry about right?
the only answer i’ve gotten to that is “if you arent vaccinated you are more likely to be hospitalized and those who chose to get vaccinated shouldn’t have to worry about hospital beds being unavailable” which is so incredibly wrong on so many levels i can’t even begin to explain
Hm? the talking point is that those who can’t get vaxed are at risk. like I couldn’t get vaxed while pregnant at the instruction of my OB, i have an immune compromised niece who has been holed up since day 1 of the pandemic, etc. protecting vulnerable groups has always been the point of herd immunity.
But vaccinated people still spread covid just as much as everyone else so what's the gain
Except they don’t? They can still transmit the disease which has always been the case, but certainly not “as much as everyone else.” The gain is you reduce the risk of transmission, the risk of infection, and the severity of infection does take place.
This just proves that anti vax people don’t listen to the opposing side. we’ve been saying for months “get vaccinated because it helps other people” and they still make posts like this
you are all so behind… asking questions about things we established months ago… something that could be answered by a Google search. I mean, I know you all don’t wanna read anything even remotely pro vax because you’d just call it liberal propaganda but we’d take you all a lot seriously if you thoroughly understood our arguments!
^^ exactly.
The vaccine protects from the main variant you dumb fucks. There's a reason over 90% of the people in hospitals with Covid are unvaccinated. AND the vaccine reduces the length and severity of the Delta variant. You need to wake the fuck up, fr. It's embarrassing
Also the point that unvaccinated people fill up hospitals imo IS a valid argument… in my country hospitals are postponing non-COVID related procedures and operations due to unavailability of hospital beds and staff and in particular because or ICs are at risk of overflowing. How is it NOT a good argument that we want to prevent that??
