Merfolk design n1.

Made to balance between climates, found in oceans, seas and even larger rivers all across the world. They mostly feed on fish, small sharks and some crabs, but humans are a delightful and welcome snack. Covered in miniature scales producing oils, along with an agile body they're able to swim incredibly fast and crash into their prey with a lot of force. This makes it stunned momentarily, giving the merfolk plenty of time to rip them into pieces and eat. They don't form colonies and are rather territorial but sometimes one can see a pair or throuple of merfolk assisting each other in hunting or protecting territory.
