It's okay to express non-sexual submissiveness as a dominant.

You can be a dominant in the bedroom and still want to be spoiled. Just because you're the dominant during scenes does not mean that you always have to take the lead outside of your sex life. It's okay for your submissive to pay for dinners and to do most of the socializing during hangouts. It's okay to go to your submissive for words of wisdom, comfort, or reassurance when you need it. And it's alright if that is often. It's okay if you're a dominant who stays home and takes care of the house while they're at work. It's okay to seek ways to express that freedom and enter a hazey headspace in other aspects of your life. It's valid that if playing submissive roles in all other areas of your life is why you seek to express dominance in the bedroom. You do not need to erase your shyness, introvertedness, and non-sexual submissiveness in order to be a good dominant during scenes.

It's okay to express non-sexual dominance as a submissive.

You can be a submissive in the bedroom and still want to allow yourself room to express dominance in non-sexual ways. It's perfectly okay if you prefer to be the big spoon, if you want to keep your dom/me on the other side of you when walking besides a road, and if you like being able to buy them clothes and buy the toys you use during scenes. It's okay to seek ways to express control and dominance in other aspects of your life. It's valid that if being dominant in all other areas of your life is why you seek to express submission in the bedroom. You do not need to erase your assertive skills, craving for control, and non-sexual dominance in order to be a good submissive during scenes.

Just because you're 100% dominant or 100% submissive in the bedroom does not mean you need to conform to those roles outside of your sex lives.

Now, don't be shy to ask your dominant if you can be the big spoon tonight, and don't be shy to ask your sub to hold your hand and keep you safe when you're out and about.
