In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
Taylor Swift does this
no she doesn’t
You clearly don't go here or to queer history and signaling, or both, enough to have this conversation and I'm not going to explain it to you. You could have asked questions, you could have done even a modicum of research. You didn't and you made yourself look ignorant. Goodbye.
There's straight up no such thing as an apolitical fandom space btw, there are participants in fandom who are privileged enough to not notice the politics, and there are people who, if they speak up about bad experiences in fandom, are Making It Political.
There's a choice being made when saying you want a space where people can escape from political issues and just have fun, which is between the following options:
Address the issues that prevent particularly vulnerable, marginalized people from joining the fun
Silence the ones who bring up the issues, contribute to the barriers that prevent them from participating in the fun, and squeeze them out of the space
There's a wrong choice here. It's made way too often by people who claim to be progressive.
Making the right choice is fully possible and will result in a better space where more people are able to have fun btw. You literally just have to stop babygirling the people who need it the least.
This shit reads like a tumblr post
the beach that. makes you dead
saw this while reading some classic EC sci-fi comics
sorry but youre never going to get me to care about workplace theft
You laugh now, but they stole my workplace last year. I looked up from my desk and I was just standing in an empty field. Desk was gone too
awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
I designed some background characters for the Ray-Ray Rabbit comic
had a lot of fun with these ones
I have to assume that in the fullness of time, at least once, a mouse has used a mushroom as an umbrella.
That’s enough to keep me going.
@cryptonature Man do I have good news for you!
Also! Bonus frog!
Being a crafty person and making a bunch of things often prompts people to ask "oh wow did you make that?" And like, the short answer is: yes I did, but the long answer is: well, no, the pattern isn't mine, but I did choose and buy the fabric/yarn and sewed it together/crocheted it/knitted it myself. I used a reference for that drawing/painting, I didn't come up with it myself. That ceramic piece was insired by a poem and a painting made by different people. What I'm trying to say is, everything I make requires other people to make their own thing first, and then I get inspired by them to do my own thing. So I can't really call anything truly mine, because really it's just a bunch of inspirations and experiences of others (and me) put together by my hands. Does that answer your question
ALL ART IS IN CONVERSATION WITH ITSELF AND NOTHING IS ORIGINAL BECAUSE NOTHING IS MADE ALONE AND THAT'S A GOOD THING AHHH
I got a new sketchbook and a brush pen,
so I did some cover doodles and some comic sound effect practice
Had a lot of fun with these, watched a few art advice videos while drawing them.
The shaky and brittle letters for "krunch" and "krumble" were inspired by Mark Crilley, as was following his advice on intentional misspelling to make it seem more like a sound and less like a word.

Such a great, revealing peek into the transmisogynist’s mindset
they are so fucking angry we're having fun
None of those things are women exclusive either
Transmisogyny loops back to misogyny classic, like a snake sucking its own dick for eternity
“trannies don’t have to look after their kids” yeah because we’re not allowed to have them
Reminder that transmisogyny (especially of the TERF variety) is rooted in bioessentialism (the pseudoscientific belief that your physical body determines traits like interests, behaviors, and skills that are not physically linked) and gender essentialism (that “biological” gender specifically dictates behavior). ie women are “biologically” better caregivers or more naturally compassionate or men are “biologically” more aggressive or dominant.
To be somewhat hyperbolic, it’s a belief that males and females are fundamentally different animals somehow— this often accompanies a belief that people with different skin pigmentation are also fundamentally different animals, unsurprisingly, which is why so many transmisogynists are also staggeringly racist.
I point out the TERF connection specifically because that ideology is deeply rooted in the belief that women are inherently physically inferior and inherently morally superior to men. Men are natural predators, women are natural victims, but also if women ruled the world there’d be no war because they’re biologically better at statecraft I guess.
Human beings are some of the least sexually dimorphic mammals on the planet. There is next to no actual physical difference between the traditional sexes that cannot be linked to culture— ie girls are widely discouraged from doing sports, especially sports which require upper body strength, and thus have less upper body strength on average. But female athletes who spend time developing upper body strength close the gap created by cultural upbringing and will have the same upper body strength as men.
There is no skill where the least skilled male will still match or exceed the most skilled female. There is no “biological advantage.” Just different skill levels and weight classes. That’s why feminists were arguing so hard for getting rid of gender segregation in sports back in the 90’s, before transmisogyny (and especially transmisogynoir) dragged the conversation back to the 50’s.
The few differences there actually are between a male sexed and a female sexed body can be almost totally reversed by influencing ONE hormone. Our bodies are so similar and so ready to switch sides on a dime that people sexed as female can straight up grow a phallus. It’s so easy to develop breast tissue that 35% of men experience gynocomastia— people sexed as male developing breasts— at some point in their lives, and estimates show 70% of adolescent boys will experience it during puberty.
We have no idea how prevalent most intersex conditions really are because they generally have so little influence on the person’s life or health that unless some other condition causes them to get a full body mri or similar, they will never know! The mortician embalming your dead body may be the only person who ever knows you had fully developed ovaries or internal testes.
We are the same animal! Our bodies are the same! Our brains are the same! Our bones are the same! Even our organs are largely the same!
Any road that starts from the assumption that you are fundamentally, biologically distinct from another nearly identical member of the same species will lead you nowhere but pseudo scientific justification for bigotry.
Once you have accepted the premise that your own opposite sexed sibling is a different kind of animal than you, you are primed to accept that explanation for any other demographic group that it has historically benefited someone for you to despise.
Bioessentialism is bullshit pseudoscience.
Do not fall for it.
It’s extremely fucked up that some ppl try to make you feel stupid and immature for hoping for a better world. You say you want world peace and mfs think you need a pacifier; dawg, I just don’t want ppl dying from violence. This idea that ppl simply must die as casualties of war is misanthropic to say the least.
Being critical of your interests is sooooo fun when you have the critic gene & then you sound kind of insane to the average tv watcher when you're like "this is my favorite show, It's Racist" & then you try to clarify what you mean & get that [Speech (legendary) - FAILURE] "the racism is really interesting though"
[Speech (legendary) - SUCCESS] I find the sociopolitical context of pulpy old sci-fi born circa the civil rights movement really fascinating to analyze especially when it was progressive for its time but still reveals the writers' unexamined biases in the subtext
Them: So you're saying its bad and I shouldn't watch it?
Me: I mean depends on your tolerance for this type of racism, but like I said it's my favourite show, it def has some great parts if you're up for it.
Them: Oh so it's not racist.
Me: It absolutely is.
Them: So you're saying racism is ok??
Me: No.
Male socialization is such an evil rhetoric. Yeah I guess not transitioning at the age of 5 is my fault and I'm evil for it. Yeah I guess not having the childhood I wish I did means I'm a danger and I should perpetually apologize for it
"The fact that socialization is a specious argument became obvious to me during an exchange I had with a trans-woman-exclusionist who insisted that my being raised male was the sole reason in her mind for me to be disqualified from entering women-only spaces. So I asked her if she was open to allowing trans women who are anatomically male but who have been socialized female — something that’s not all that uncommon for MTF children these days. She admitted to having concerns about their attending. Then, I asked how she would feel about a person who was born female yet raised male against her will, and who, after a lifetime of pretending to be male in order to survive, finally reclaimed her female identity upon reaching adulthood. After being confronted with this scenario, the woman conceded that she would be inclined to let this person enter women-only space, thus demonstrating that her argument about male socialization was really an argument about biology after all. In fact, after being pressed a bit further, she admitted that the scenario of a young girl who was forced against her will into boyhood made her realize how traumatic and dehumanizing male socialization could be for someone who was female-identified. This, of course, is exactly how many trans women experience their own childhoods."
