Can I please see another Zak drawing from you? Anything goes! I really love him so much!!!

"Do you know why we wizards are tolerated in Menzoberranzan?"
Liriel cast a quick, startled glance at her father. "Target practice?"
I think overall, my favorite little worldbuilding detail from the Lady Penitent is that it canonically says some Drow use "dark spectacles" to protect their eyes from the harsh surface world light.
DROW SUNGLASSES ARE CANON Y'ALL. THERE'S NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME TO GIVE YOUR DROW OC A PAIR OF SHADES!
Aaaaand an update on my Dark Urge model. Trouble is a bardadin hence the gambeson and armour pieces they begrudgingly wear.
Trouble might be chaotic good now but I really wanted to use the bhaalist colours on them. I bet as an oath of redemption paladin they would find it deeply poetic or something.
I need to finally get around to properly texture their armour nowwww.
I am really normal about them btw.
vhaeraun :)
Haven't drawn him in a very long time, his outfit design continues to confuse me.
Legend of Drizzt? It's Legend of Catti-brie for ME
I finally got to pose her and as much as I still want to work on some better expressions, I am quite happy with how she's turning out hehehe
It's becoming a habit of mine to forget about the existence of social media and then show up six months later with some random art update. But in-between crunching at work and obsessively working on 3D models of my Durge and Gorion's Ward, I swear I didn't forget about the LoD models TT_TT
I'd like to believe this is how it all started.
Drow's best friend.
love my fashion diva💜
can i say something
Did I take a social media break for a month to focus on finishing my degree? Perhaps.
Did I also absolutely not finish anything but instead started working on Fortnite-esque 3D models of Catti-Brie and Drizzt? Obviously.
Still a WIP but I really wanted to share them! I need to come up with cool animations for both of them nowwwww
I already started working on Regis, Bruenor and Wulfgar and Guen just needs better textures and i have set up a small scene
wulfgar has such pretty eyes
I like Withers as a character in general but I wish him being an avatar of Jergal was more fleshed out through some of the negative aspects and he wasn't just a funny skeleton-man,,,
Like there is no way I am trusting Jergal, the Lord of the End of Everything. I feel like a conspiracy theorist when I say that he planned the Dead Three becoming gods and everything that followed so he could use them to his advantage, especially when some of the sources are unofficial or Ed's twitter but! It makes sense!!!*
It just makes the entire plot of him giving Durge's life in BG3 so much more interesting if he is a potential villain!
I think I made a mistake looking into d&d lore because pantheons of gods from our world are also there apparently
*gets attacked by a goblin*
Zeus! Get his ass!
*the goblin is struck by lightning*
My favourite bits of Forgotten Realms lore:
Dragonborn are aliens from another dimension
Elminster ('Gale's grandad') likes to pretend to be Santa Claus, here, on Earth
He also pals around with Ed Greenwood, the guy who wrote the setting
Space is flammable
There is a race of fish men who can create gods if they believe in them hard enough
Flumphs :)
More fun bits of Realmslore:
Some real-world deities get more worship than others in the Realms. For example, Tyche canonically died and was split into two deities, one of good luck and one of bad luck. Mielliki is the patron deity of Drizzt Do'Urden, the Realms' resident good-boy dark elf. The Egyptian and Mesopotamian pantheons are considered distinct from the Faerûnian pantheons, and they are the main pantheons worshipped in two regions of the Realms: Mulhorand (Egypt) and Unther (Mesopotamia). Worship of these deities was brought over to the Realms long ago by slaves of the ancient Imaskari Empire, and it's heavily implied that their current worshippers, the Mulan, are descendants of our-world ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians.
The deity of lions and royalty, Nobanion, also known as the Lion King, is actually Aslan from Narnia.
According to Greenwood-supported-but-not-published-canon by one of the biggest original contributors to the lore, Eric L. Boyd, Jergal (A.K.A. Withers to the BGIII fans) is, in truth, the last of an ancient race of magically-inclined aliens, called Spellweavers, trying to bring back his people. It was his influence that led to the creation of the Netherese Empire and, as part of his plan, Karsus' Folly.
Speaking of which, we all know that Mystryl died due to the Folly. What most people don't know is that, according to Ed Greenwood himself, Mystryl was originally the daughter of Shar and Selûne. Her death during the Folly — as well as Mystra's robbery of her divine spark and portfolio, orchestrated by Jergal, not by Mystryl — is part of the reason that Shar feels so much enmity towards the Goddess of Magic.
Okay, that was a bunch of deity-themed fun facts. :] To top it all off with something else, the Forgotten Realms is also the home of the highest-level D&D module ever published, supporting level 18 all the way to level 100, known as The Throne of Bloodstone.
Finished sculpting my Dark Urge!
I actually already worked on a 3D model of them before (see my icon) but I was so unhappy with it, I redid everything oops
I made Trouble back in 2023 and they were supposed to be a joke character,,, I have a tattoo of them on my arm now,,,
Trouble is my favourite blorbo, a bard (college of swords) and a paladin (oath of redemption). Their story grew out a lot from the BG3 scope and honestly I never would have thought that a D&D character could become so important to me 🥺
