I've been making a solo training app for martial arts and I'm at the point where the first alpha build needs testers. Android only right now but when its finished I will make an apple version.

Eventually I will be selling the app and having a free version supported by ads. Anyone that helps with feedback etc will get a code for free premium when it's ready

Basically it has premade workouts, you can customise workouts and it has a neat little workout builder where you tell it how many rounds you want, what round length, and what rest length and it auto builds a routine for you.

You can tell it what body parts you want to train, what equipment you want to use or don't have so it will avoid programming things like medicine ball exercises if you tell it

You can switch exercises, techniques, or combination mid round, you can extend or skip rests.

Its 90% placeholders because it's in alpha, but it essentially works! If you're interested in having a look at a very early version just let me know on here and I will set you up with the APK file to test it.

unfortunately very true. Doing Better does not always mean never being upset or never being triggered or never having trouble. often Doing Better means experiencing those things and being able to keep going/cope healthily/move on. if you’re in a bubble with no sensation, if you’re numbing yourself out, that’s not what recovering really is. it won’t help you have a happier life it’ll just make your world smaller and smaller until you can’t fit anywhere anymore. gotta learn to make peace with the hard stuff too, that’s the only way to keep going

Of course the idea of "humanely sourced" meat is ultimately bullshit, but since feeding my cats is one area where there is no vegan alternative that I feel comfortable with and it's ultimately my responsibility to meet their needs, do you have any resources on pet food brands that at least make some effort at being more ethical, just as a sort of lesser of two evils?

I'd need to know where you live so I could do some research for you on the sort of least bad of the bag, but honestly, I highly doubt that you'll be able to find what you're looking for at a reasonable price point.

Pet food ultimately comes from the same slaughterhouses that everyone else's meat comes from, and there is no certification or welfare standard for slaughterhouses anywhere in the world that is worth the paper it is written on. All the 'ethical' brands here in the UK are appealing to terms that legally mean nothing, or relying on certifications that don't have anything even approaching a robust enforcement or inspection system.

I'd be looking for independent or small businesses, that are making an effort to be sustainable with packaging and production, and are using human quality ingredients without fillers. Look for vet certifications, check the ingredients and look at their website to see if you can find any information about traceability of ingredients. That is really the best you can find in this space I'm afraid.

There are some vegan cat foods that do kibble with all the nutrients they need

BUT you need to be testing of their urine as not all cats can eat it. I've known several cats who were fine with it. But I fostered 1 for a while who had been on kibble and was havibg trouble. She hadn't been tested because the owner didn't know to do it.

The kibble exists for cats with animal protein allergies and also plant based philosophy. Its formulated to have everything they need just double check before committing. There are a couple brands in the UK
